  1. Hello! I am looking for a good monitor to work with. Design, backlight, etc. I do not need. I work at a computer from 12 to 18 hours a day. I need my eyes to not get tired of working at the computer. Monitor extension need 2040p + I need a long line of monitor work, 10,000 hours or more. The budget does not matter.
  2. Yesterday, I still was able to start the installation of a 64-bit system. But I failed to install the system. I tried installing ubuntu server x64 12.04, 14.04, 16.04, 18.04, 19.04. I did not have other distributions. I used the distributions for the test, I have no task to install them. During installation, it shows errors in unpacking archives. But during installation on a real machine, there are no errors. I tried installing ubuntu server 16.04 x86 on the virtual machine and the system installed normally. I assume that the x64 processor is used as 32-bit in the virtual machine and therefore errors occur during the installation program. I think the errors are due to the incorrect processing of 64-bit numbers. I did not think that there would be such problems with the AMD processor, since AMD is the founder of x64. But, until I turned on virtualization, it displayed as 32-bit. Now it does not work with 64-bit numbers.
  3. I solved the problem. I should have looked at the instructions on the motherboard first. It turned out I need to enable "SVM Mode". "Virtualization enhanced by Virtualization Technology will allow a platform to run multiple operating systems and applications in independent partitions ...". The "SMT Mode" function is enabled by default. This feature is located in M.I.T ---- Advanced Core Settings ------- SVM mode I could not think that the function is there. Does the single core settings control the virtualization of the entire processor? _________________ Okay. Thanks to all. Sorry to bother you
  4. What is UEFI? I have a Gigabyte B450 AORUS M motherboard, AMI BIOS
  5. Yes, I used a hard drive with an installed system from Core2Duo. But on Core2Duo it works.
  6. Hello! I have an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 processor, the operating system is Windows 8.1 Enterprice x64. From a real machine, 64-bit systems start up. But I launched VirtualBox, when I start a 64-bit system in a virtual machine, it shows: "This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected i686 CPU" But how can I have an Intel 686 processor? Does this mean that the AMD Ryzen 5 1600 processor is 32-bit? What kind of nonsense? And there is one more problem. I have Intel Core2Duo E6200, the system is the same Windows 8.1 x64, Virtual Box, all 64-bit systems run fine.
  7. I'm sorry, I thought you had Asrock But with ASUS the same thing, by the way
  8. You did not reflash bios? According to Internet reviews, all ASRock boards have big problems after flashing BIOS
  9. You made me laugh ? Windows Troubleshooter is the worst tool in Windows. It does practically no good. I know all the advice from there: pull out and insert the cord, restart the computer, turn the monitor on and off, bounce twice on one leg (a joke) and conjure pulling and inserting the cord 3,000 times. ? This tool has never helped me in my life. I started it in childhood, when I still had little understanding in computers. This tool is designed for old people who have never seen computers in their lives.
  10. Where did you buy Windows? I do not buy licenses in third-party online stores. I assume that if you buy a license not in the Microsoft store, then it can be faked. You cannot verify this. And since it is faked, then why give money for it? I do not see the point. Windows Home is not a good system. Even on Windows 10 Professional, not all programs run. Best of all is Windows 10 Enterprise. http://techgenix.com/windows-10-pro-vs-enterprise-teardown/ And how will you resist virus attacks?) I personally format the disk, reinstall the cracked Windows every week. I have very few viruses on my computer. This licensed system only causes damage. You bought it and you will not delete it. Antiviruses against new viruses do not help. Only viruses cut off the entire periphery from viruses, and not always. Buying Windows every time is not a good idea.
  11. Probably early I went to the American forum. In Ukraine, everything is different. At least I have never seen two hard drives.
  12. This is a myth that disk manufacturers are spreading. https://therevisionist.org/reviews/ssd-vs-hdd-one-reliable/ Above is a link to a regular article And here is the article of the manufacturer: https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/ssd-vs-hdd You need to understand how SSD / HDD works and not inspire all the manufacturers' ads. Also, I didn’t say not to buy SSDs. I said that the SSD is not reliable. If the laptop is not for the office, you can take any cheap used for $ 20-100 https://www.ebay.com/b/PC-Laptops-Netbooks/177?RAM%20Size=8%20GB|4%20GB|5%20GB|6%20GB&SSD%20Capacity=256GB|500GB&Storage%20Type=SSD%20%28Solid%20State%20Drive%29&rt=nc&_sop=15&_udhi=150&LH_ItemCondition=3000
  13. I do not recommend buying an SSD. SSD for system only, HDD for data. In SSDs, data is stored in capacitors. And in HDD disks, data is stored on a metal magnetic disk. Data on SSDs may disappear in the event of power surges. SSDs really work faster, are much cheaper, but they are less reliable. On laptops, you can usually install only one drive - either an SSD or an HDD. Therefore, using one disk for the system, and they are for data - will not work. You must either use the extension or connect an external HDD. Or lose data. But if you only need performance, take a used cheap SSD. The drive will fail quickly, but during its operation there will be good performance.
  14. Today I built a computer. Gigabyte B450 AORUS M - $ 70 AMD Ryzen 5 1600 - $ 100 HyperX 4GB DDR4 2666 - $ 40 Western Digital Black 500GB 7200rpm 32MB - $ 50 Chieftec 700W - $ 50 The video card was already available from the old computer ____________________________ $ 310 - the full amount of money ______________________________ I bought RAM only for a computer startup test. This can still be bought. But that is not the problem. I built a computer to work on Android Studio. And today I launched Android Studio. Android Studio only loaded RAM at 700 MB. In general, RAM is not a problem. ------------------ The problem is that during the launch of Android Studio, the processor is loaded at 20%, while at work - at 100% You see, the processor is clearly overloaded. In idle mode, Windows 8 processor load is mainly 1-3% ----------------------- Here is such a misfortune ---------------------- My mood is spoiled, I don’t know what to do. Which processor does Android Studio need?
  15. I'm sorry, maybe I don’t understand anything alone. Have you reinstalled Windows or not? Because if you reinstalled, then you need to turn on the Internet and wait for the automatic update of the drivers.
