  1. So, you'r telling me to buy a B550 Steel Legend instead, i like that. edit: Amd Ryzen 9 5900x ASRock B550 Steel Legend Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 (fits my old case)
  2. So, you'r telling me to buy a B550 Steel Legend instead, i like that.
  3. So i have been running a failing motherboard for a while now, and i can barely mess with bios settings without it freezing every 20 seconds, and overclocking is unstable to the point were i can barely push 3% above stock was running an asrock z170 pro4 with an i7 6700, had some mismatching ram in it but after checking things im certain the motherboard feels like its about to die. So! new motherboard, and i might as well get a new CPU, and then i might as well futureproof myself a little. in short, considered getting. AMD Ryzen 9 5900x and after looking around for an affordable motherboard that can take a beating, i found Gigabyte X570 AORUS MASTER seems to be both good, and have a reasonable price. Second opinions? oh and this is all mostly for gaming on windows 10.
  4. the entire video is about water cooling yet from start to finish it fails to mention even ones that the setup is outright stupid. its basically Politic language, meaning you cleaverly leave out or suggest in such a strong way that it makes those who'd benefit from the content misunderstand the entire premise. in short, the message of the video becomes unclear.
  5. and again Linus completely fails to explain what water cooling is and why its used, and uses misleading research and results to give the impression that water cooling is bad. there's 2 things to water cooling. "series vs parallel" this refers to how the loop is setup "Location" this refers to were you have your fans and radiator in more detail: when water cooling what you'r trying to do is 2 things, A: MOVE heat away from the computer, and B: dissipate that heat in a timely manner at an optimal location. firstly if you just need to cool normally, a normal computer then by any means use 1 water radiator or just radiator with fans.(even in that setup water is better, especially for gaming were hardware is not always working at 100%, meaning the temperature is stabilized, and fans can then work much better at dissipating the heat instead of regular radiator without water) but lets say you are crazy enough to want OPTIMAL cooling, then you'd need to A: use long pipes that lead the cooling either outside or for those that live on the sun, in a cooling room. secondly, dont make a fucking pipe and put each radiator in front of each other, put them in a grid next to each other so fans can work together. and regardless of setup, water is always slightly better, but yes, setup matters but whoever wrote this episode(i apologize for being angry) is a fucking moron for not outlining this very clearly. i want to see an episode were this is utilized to some extreme extend, or at least prove me wrong, because you cant.
  6. found a laptop to what translates to 446 dollars (after tax) Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15 81UT00AAMX guess i'll buy that in a week in case i cant convince someone to give me a free one.
  7. on my desktop computer i currently have 23 tabs open, it jumps from 15-40 depending on what im doing.
  8. PS: i live in denmark so count on a 25% tax on everything.
  9. was hoping for 400 dollars max. for 500 dollars you can get some beefy laptops i believe(if you look hard enough)
  10. having trouble finding a cheap 2 in 1 laptop, cheapest being surface go 2. im guessing chromebooks are laptops with detachable screens, yes? i'm a bit out of the loop.
  11. so i have been sticking to desktops for a long time now staying away from those foul things!, even got myself one of those old nokia bricks(well my android phone died and im too cheap to spend money on phones)anyways! i am in need of something for the following things. Microsoft Word/Excel. PDF reading Web Browsing not take up too much space able to handle having 10-20 chrome tabs open, because im that kind of monster. very simple demands, however im not sure what would be best laptop or tablet, honestly i despise touchpads those things are the devils work, but i love having a keyboard. Battery Lifespan is not really an issue as i don't plan on using it far from a power outlet. Storage capacity is also not an issue, as long as i can have some various files as well as basic programs im good. had a look at this years ago and found something similar to "Surface Go 2" but what i found back then was cheaper, it was for my mom because she's not very nice to computers. cant find it anymore sadly and dont remember its name. So in short, Laptop or Tablet, and does anyone recommend anything? remember its for basic stuff. and will honestly only be used at a minimum.
  12. 18,2 Length(front to back) 11,1 width(side to side) Edit: btw, my current mouse is Corsair M65 PRO RGB Gaming Mouse (didn't choose it based on how it fit my hand merely asked for the most durable mouse. much to the shop owners confusion ofc)
  13. my research so far concludes that most mouses uses trash chinese triggers instead of proper triggers from japan, also i found a software that "solves" the issue however im still looking for a mouse without this issue, "solve the issue at its core" and all that. https://www.howisolve.com/how-to-fix-a-double-clicking-mouse-easily/ also i hear something about Huano switches, people describe them as having harder clicks, no clue if this translates to them being heavy duty or what.
