the original idea for crypto was for it to be de-centralized. A credit/financial corporation can deploy crypto internally for integreity and auditing purposes, but to sell it to the wider population when they already have centralized money in the form of legal tender? Na, I won't be using Libra fake zuckerbucks.

Bacon soup got a reaction from Bramimond in Do you let your kids play mobile games?
no it wont. Mobile games are made with the same psychology as gambling machines. They are designed to be addictive and to take your money. I assume you are concerned your kids will miss out on technology. It concerns me where people think a consumer device will somehow help their kid be technologically literate. Parents in NZ are being made to buy expensive ipads for this reason and its a total scam. When I went to school we learnt MSDOS. I remember when I was 7 I had to demonstate to my teacher I could mount a floppy disk drive and save a file to it. Fast forward to today, learning the latest consumer device now will have no difference to the kid in a few years time when new devices will be on the market; these new devices will be more consumer friendly with a new interface. If you want your kids to be computer literate, go through a gentoo install with them.

I remember when I first used linux I asked "where is the start button" and "what are all these weird folders in C drive?"
Want to learn linux fast? Take off the Ubuntu training wheels. Install arch or gentoo. Installing these distros will force you to learn the unix-style environment.

Here is another one OP. I just worked out that buying a new mid range PC every three years (all parts) costs far less than what I spend in beer.

I'm not an expert on this, but I think credit scores work on how well you make payments. You can't make payments if you don't borrow.

x86  . Ijust recently bought a R5 2600 and it does fine with my 5700XT. Jays2 cents recently did a great video on bottle necking. the reason i bought the 2600 over anything else is coz the price is so ridiculuosly low. I cant believe I can get a 12-thread CPU so cheap!

they fear employees from those countries will be forced by their governments to become spies. Recently here in NZ, around the HK protests, some chinese students walked around one of our universities wearing PLA uniforms to intimidate the other chinese students. They were letting the chinese students know that the PLA is everywhere. These poor kids have family trapped in china. Shit's real in those nations.

If you keep up this train of thought you'll never buy a PC. The next best thing is always on the horizon. Buy the best PC you can right now, and you'll likely be very happy with it for quite a while. I don't think we'll see any more huge performance jumps with our current silicon based PC's.

I cant imagine living in a crowded city and not having gaming as a main leisure activity. It's not like where I live where I can go fishing everyday and play what ever sports I want.

Bacon soup got a reaction from xARACHN1D in English language sometime surprise me
english is a german language, has an intimate history with french and latin. A direction i will point you in is to study our vowels, and study the roots of your own language. We only have five vowels in normal writing but we have multiple ways of pronouncing them, and this changes regionally. The way I pronounce vowels in NZ is totally different to an american for example. It all makes sense if you can tell if a modern english word originated from german, latin, french, or old english.

I think those idle and load temps are normal. My ambient temperature is 26C and my CPU at idle is 41C using a scythe fuma 2 cooler. I have four 140mm intake fans and one 120mm exhaust fan on a cooler master NR400 case.
This is what I set for case intake fans:
30 degrees C, winter & night idle temp, fan speed 0%.
40C, summer day time idle temp, case fan speed 1%
50C, gaming temp, fan speed to 50%.
I set fan speed to 100% at 69C.
CPU fan and exhaust fan are linked on a splitter cable and I left it to default PWM settings.
