Sorry, still new to these forums, and I've never really used discussion sites before. Ill post the question there.

I've decided to upgrade my PC and need to do some major changes including new motherboard, GPU and CPU. I'm looking for someone who would be willing to help me find what I'm looking for and also have some patience with someone who doesn't know the ins and outs of all the components. If there is anyone who is willing to assist me, I can give my discord name or what ever is easiest to chat on so we can discuss what I'am going to be looking at and what parts I will need to purchase. I can give pictures of my current system or anything else that is needed, but it would be greatly appreciated if there was someone who could personally help with these upgrades. thanks in advance to anyone who decides to help.

Looking to make an upgrade and want to sell my XFX Radeon rx 470 r5 black edition, how much would this be worth second hand? I’ve had it in one pc only for the 2 years I’ve owned it, and purchased it new with the pc I bought. Price in Australian conversion please

But if I get a new board that won’t be compatible with my graphics card if I go with AMD will it? And if I did get a new board I’m a bit lost for where to start

Ah okay, sorry for the lack of knowledge but you've definitely helped me understand what I'm looking for. So an i7 6700 and an RTX 2060, will that be good?

Could I purchase a 6700k and would it be worth it?

Thank you very much, that clears all of that up. I think I know have an idea of what I might do, purchase an i7 (presuming I can get any within the i7 range, looking at a 9700) and also purchase the RTX 2060 and add an extra 8Gb of RAM and that will do me. Are there any problems with that?

Okay, so would it be worth getting an AMD board to get an AMD CPU, or just getting an intel i7. Also will the board affect what graphics card I get.

So what AMD CPU would work with my current motherboard ( b150m Bazooka) because I don't know what the equivalent of AMD CPU's are to Intel, for example, if I wanted to originally get an Intel i7, what would be the AMD equivalent?

And what CPU would recommend with my current motherboard, I don't the AMD equivalent of an i7

My PSU is a "be quiet pure power 9 500W" , and are you suggesting that if I get a graphics card I could still use it with my current CPU until I get another?

Yeah this PC is just for gaming, will most motherboards be fine with all cases or is that something I need to be aware of?
