LAR_Systems reacted to GOTSpectrum for a blog entry, Day One - Fold Me Up Scotty
Well... Here we are, the first points update for a folding event. There is something magical about this time, something surreal and truly majestic. In many ways, this update is not unlike any of the 34 that will follow it. But to me, this is the best feeling in the world, the rush to get the stats out, the pensive feelings of those waiting to see just how they shape up. All of our's first chance to get a view of the table and a sneak peek at how the chips may fall. But as those veterans of these events will know, much will change in the coming days, not even to mention the five whole weeks to come. So for now, may your points be high and your temps be low, for it is once again folding season.

So before we get into the individual stats I first want to take a look at how we performed as a team. Over the last 24 hours, the event participants generated 1,584,657,471 points towards the team's total. This was produced with 4,673 WUs in total for those signed up to the event. So let's take a look at the leaderboard in sets, the top 10 produced 41% of the team's points for today, while the top 50 did 75% and the top 100 produced 90% of the event's point total. You can see more details of this on the sheet attached lower down this blog post.

Now, for all of you waiting to see the ranks, let's have a look at those.

We are seeing something of note, last event Shlouski was sitting on the throne after the first day of folding, but today, we see a new contender. However, he was unable to keep that spot and eventually came in second place. Well, right now we have a well-known member of the team sitting on the throne with Mxyzptlk(his friends call him mixie) taking the number one spot with an impressive but not record-breaking day of 115,073,408 points. Still, he is looking to be the man to beat so far. In second place we have Shlouski, who despite being a member of the team for so long I still can't type his name right on the first attempt. Last year he came in second place, and from the looks of the first day he's looking like he may replicate that dishonor. He takes the number two spot with 109,693,820 points. Very impressive. We have the king of 2022 sitting in the number three spot, he managed to take the throne at the end of the last event and was crowned as a result, if he is to replicate that feat he's going to have to find more power somewhere as he takes the rank of third with only 95,367,483 points. Next up, we have the only LMG representation in the event, with jakkuh_t taking the number four spot with 90,922,470 points. I have to be honest I tipped him for at least a top-three spot and have to say I'm a little disappointed. Moving swiftly on we have Justaphf, a long-time veteran of the team and our overall Number-One man in the overall stats, taking the place of fifth with 73,743,471 points.

Now moving on to the next set of people we are going to fire through them a little quicker. A legend of a man, Alex Atkin UK takes the number 6 spot with 38,859,739 points, I have to say, a funny note, Alex is the only person on the team to find my personal social media accounts and send me a Friend request. P.S. Don't do this. Nonetheless, I'm sure he will be happy to have a mention here in the top ten. Sitting in number 7 we have Gorgon, a man who has helped out with the running of earlier folding events and really helped us to streamline our processes to get us to the point where we are now. He takes the rank with 36,861,027 points. vsteel is up next in 8th, taking the rank with 34,537,183 points, he's been around for quite some time but is a rather quiet member of the team. _Rlocke is in the 9th with 29,361,403, an interesting fact about him is he was the first person to pull a 100,000,000 point fay during a folding event. And finally we have the honourable gatekeeper, filling up this post we have the man with all the data, the master of the folding hardware database LAR_Systems who takes up his post with 28,064,255 points.

So first off I would like to apologise for the delay on this one. As many of you know life is challenging for me at the moment but hey we got there eventually. I thank you all for your continued understanding. I'm sure it gets worse every year!

Here we are at the end of our fifth event, A massive thank you to our six event fanatics, who have been the first to claim the five year badge for these events. @RollinLower @GOTSpectrum @sazrocks @TVwazhere @Dissitesuxba11s and @Spotty are the six people on the forum that should have the five year badges. Well done to us all and thank you for showing up year after year. We salute you.

I think it is fair to saw that the legend of Den-Fi continues to be one known well by most of the team, but for the first time since his leaving of the forum we have seen someone out compete him. And not only one person but we have seen multiple people break the previous record of 2.3 billion points. As is the ever march of technology, it was only a matter of time, but to see it broken, on such a scale goes to show just how far technology, and the team has come in only a couple of years.

I would like to thank those who helped with the event this year, we have the usual thanks to @leadeater who continues to maintain and manage the script that is privital for the smooth running on these events. @cbigfoot does a lot of the leg work, validating point totals, inputting them to the spreadsheet and generally doing all the small odd jobs that are needed to be done.

Please can all make sure we donate a few dollars to Jason over at EOC, his servers must have taken a beating with all the traffic we have thrown at the guy over the last month or so. You can either use this PayPal link or find the PayPal donation button on the EOC Website on the left. Don't forget to include a note thanking him so he knows its from team LTT.  My personal go to is, 'From LTT with love' but you are free to write your own.

Now, it is time to get to what we have all waited for, THE RANKS!

In first place we have @miker07 this was his fourth event participating and what else can we say other than wow. I really didn't see him taking the throne in the opening days of the event yet he fought hard and secured that lucrative gold spot. In many ways it looked like he was overperforming, then he would breeze through day after day showing us just what he could do when he stretched his legs. It is a well deserved victory taking the throne with 3,702,959,248 points. He will be celebrated as not only our king, but also the man who toppled the old record set by Den-Fi.

In second place we have @Shlouski who for a time looked like he may be able to take the throne himself but in the end it was not to be. He takes the rank of second with a still yet incredible 3,226,841,295 points. Despite this, despite him also beating the old record I am sorry to say that he is this years Failed King. After holding the throne for a time, finally being bested by miker who went on to take the throne for this event.

In third place we have Mxyzptlk, Mxy (Mixie) did well this event taking the rank of third with 2,132,197,116 points. In the early part of the event it didn't seem like he would make it to a podium finish, still strong competition from other participants. But as the days went on he went from strength to strength to find himself taking the rank of third. He was less than 200 million points away from the old record set by Den-Fi, if I were him that would be a sore spot when I look back over this month. Last folding month he was fourth so it is good to see him managing to gain year on year.

In fourth place we have Justaphf, this was his third year competing in a row and also his third overall, He takes the rank with 1,701,918,525 points. I think it still cannot be understated just how big of an achievement this pop total is. Gaining well over a billion points in five weeks is still an insane level of production and if it were me I would be very proud.

Fifth place is taken by _Rlocke, who has been active in all but of our events to date. He is certainly a man I like to see in events as he can always cause an upset if he wants. I do have to ask though, where was his mind this year? Nonetheless he takes the rank with 1,632,051,123 points.

6th place is taken by Igor_Sinelnikov with 1,493,089,912 points, it is only his second time participating in an event and it is nice to see him continuing to place so well, even if he was higher in the event at his peak.

7th place is taken by gordonbb with 1,447,548,447 points. He missed out on his fanatic badge this event by missing out on last years folding month. He has been involved in every other folding event and has even helped with the running of some of them.

8th place is taken by Ben_F with 1,360,690,324 points. He did give us a good run to watch, seeing him climb the ranks day after day to take this spot.

9th place is taken by LAR_Systems with 1,039,370,656 points. The man with all the data being in this rank goes to show there is no replacement for displacement... wait... this isn't a drag race... huh who knew...

10th place is taken by Alex_Atkin with 1,038,109,630 points. I think it is safe to say if the event ran for just a few more hours he would have taken the number nine spot in the event.

For the first time ever we can see that all top ten people in the event have passed the one billion point barrier. What an achievement worthy of celebration.

Well guys, I have to say, you suck, we are further away from our one billion day goal than we were yesterday! But hey, I guess that means tomorrow is just another day to try. We have not seen any changes in the top ten so don't hold your breath. But nonetheless, let's dive in.

Shlouski keep himself in the number one spot today despite his power outage, taking the throne with 448,246,714 points, he did manage to outperform the next down the list but it was certainly close and he can't be showing his weakness like this on a regular basis if he is wanting to be sitting there when the final curtain falls. miker07 is in second place with 415,120,170 points. Igor_Sinelnikov has once again stepped up his production, we are certainly seeing impressive numbers and if he can keep this rate of increase we may see our first 100m day come out of our good ol pal Igor. Anyway he takes the third place with 312,889,768 points. Justaphf is once again in the number four spot with 225,429,911 points. It has to be said that I thought the number one on teamLTT would be higher up the ranks. Mxyzptlk is rounding up the top five with 191,257,732 points.

Gorgon is the real interesting person in the top ten for this update, he had a healthy day today and this could see him climbing the ranks if he can maintain it. Gorgon takes 6th with 181,601,829 points for this update. Oromit is in 7th place with 156,196,276 points and is looking rather safe for the time being. LAR_Systems seems to have been having some trouble today and underperformed massively. He will be safe for a day or two before he will need to start sweating thanks to his 146,300,186 points. _Rlocke had a solid day today and could become a problem for the database master up front, taking the number nine slot with 123,709,556 points. And finally we have the honourable gatekeeper, Ben_F has graciously accepted the post for the second day in a row with 116,219,937 points.

I have to say it looks like quite a few of you guys have ran out of steam already down on the lower ranks. But there are some noticeable exceptions, such as bigygf who is down in 77th but gained 25 ranks today. This also looks like the first day lucas.fnbr has managed a full day of folding and this has taken 87th with a 36 rank increase. Looking a little bit fither up the ranks we can see sazrocks has had a solid day today and has found themself in 52th and climbing fast.

LAR_Systems reacted to GOTSpectrum for a blog entry, Day Four - Well, the points start comin' and they don't stop comin'
Usually I try to limit my direct interference in the event, instead I usually like to ask open ended questions. But today I come to you all with a humble request. We are so close to see a billion point event day here that I just need to ask, can you push it some more, even if it's just for one day. Let's cross that billion point threshold together, united as a team.

For the firth day in a row we can see that Shlouski is sitting on that throne, he is really giving it one, despite this he has missed his target of a 100m day. He takes the spot with 361,345,602 points, an incredible total so early in the event but it has to be asked, can he keep it up. Will miker07 who is up in second place with 328,874,327 continue to up the ante, pushing our small green friend to new heights, will he manage to take the hot seat or will he be forever relegated to the shadow of out small green friend. Igor_Sinelnikov is once again in third place with 232,869,485 points, he has managed to continue to push hard despite his calls that he would struggle this event. An interesting note is that all three of these guys now have over 300m points each. An incredible achievement. Justaphf has continued to keep up his production and is in fourth place with 180,636,900 points. Mxyzptlk the man with the hard name is in fifth place with 148,677,965 points. We have not seen any shifts in positions over this last 24 hours for the event but we are seeing higher and higher production rates for many people.

Gorgon has continued to maintain his higher rate of production and managed to keep his previously newly claimed rank of 6th place with 132,719,922 points. Gorgon is looking very safe here so unless we see any changes to production rates he's going to be safe for the foreseeable future. The same cannot be said for the next two in line, Oromit and LAR_Systems are both at danger, they have 124,655,702 and 120,988,763 points respectively. The reason for that danger is _Rlocke has upped his production rates, already climbing one spot to 9th place, giving up the honourable position of gatekeeper.  He has so far produced 92,459,969 points. Ben_F has fallen one rank to take up the post of the honourable gatekeeper, taking number ten with 92,063,447.

Down in 34th we have a rising star, dustrusty has gained an impressive 23 places, taking the rank with 20,713,726 points, but the real thing we need to point out is the massive production rate, seeing over 12 million points in the last 24 hours. looking farther down the ranks we can see jpyg has started folding for the first day, meaning he now sits in 111th. Way to go man. We also had some others start folding today, such as Egg-Roll, lucas.fnbr and Struck.

So first thing first, Igor did not truly jump 130 ranks, there was a data issue on the last rankings, but this does not affect the integrity of the data, the issue was with the user entered data that was corrected yesterday after the posting of the ranks and blog post.

Sitting on the throne for a second day in a row we have Shlouski, with 167,910,201 points on the second day of the event it can be easily said that he is the man to catch. Producing slightly shy of 100 million points over the last 24 hours, he has shown us just what he is capable of. Now the question has to be asked if miker07 who is up next in the number two spot with 148,525,518 points can challenge for the throne or if he will be relegated to falling short of being crowned this year. Igor_Sinelnikov who unfortunately got missed from yesterdays data is in third place with 88,682,201. Now in the past we have seen Igor go on insane sprints, producing over 100 million points per day, so although he is only in third, it may not take too much poking to wake the sleeping tiger. Justaphf is up next, taking fourth place for today, with 86,499,619, being only around two million points behind Igor we could see him trying to push just a little harder to make Igor sweat. to round out the top five for today is Mxyzptlk, taking his place in the ranks with 67,103,544 points, He is looking to be in a pretty safe place for the time being, but with little chance to gain any further without a major change to production.

Once again we have Oromit sitting in the number 6 spot with 59,485,627 points, they are one of the few people who haven't moved around over the last 24 hours. LAR_Systems has fallen two ranks over the last 24 hours down to 7th place with 58,501,447 points, there is only slightly more than a million points ahead of him to leapfrog forward up the table, but we can only guess as to if the man has the folding power needed to do such a thing. gordonbb has technically fallen one rank down to number eight, with 56,730,183 points he could certainly be an upset to those ahead of him if he were to push things. Up next is Ben_F with 45,149,615 points, it is certainly true that there is a large divide growing in front of Mr. F and if he is wanting to climb up the ranks he is certainly going to have up his pace and finally we have the honourable gatekeeper, _Rlocke has for the second day kept his spot of honour on the rankings with 33,589,405. Right now he is looking pretty safe where he is but also we are not seeing any spectacular like we have seen from him in previous events.

Well it is only the second day and I don't think we have enough data to really make any major comments. But i'm sure you will all join me in saying one thing to those at the very top of the table... Damnnnn

Well here we are, yet again folding in the heat of summer, many of us will suffer and some will be pleased with their hired help, but no matter where you get your points it is welcomed with open arms.

In first place we have Shlouski with an impressive 58.6 million points, followed closely by Miker07 in second with 54,3 million point. I can already see the rivalry brewing between these turn time to fire up every fpu you've got and push hard for the title. Mxyzptlk is sitting in third place with a mighty good showing of 43.3 million points. Fourth place is taken by Justaphf, who will need to have a massive increase in production if they are looking to advance, taking that spot with 28.3 million points. Starman is up next in fifth place with 16.3 million points. Pezui, who thankfully didnt break the script this event is not far behind in 6th place with 15.5 million points. Favebook is as always chugging along with 13.4m points. CT854, the chinese tigre is giving it their all and is looking happy in his spot of 8th place. But he will have to keep a close eye on vstell who is only a couple hundred thousand points behind with 12.4. and finally we have MrFinn741 with a flat 12 million points.

As you can see it is exciting, we have 6 more days of points and six more chances for things to mix up, I wonder where they will all be when the bust settles, only time will tell.

Ladles and Gentlespoons, it has to be said that quality has made up for quantity this year, we may be thin on the group but we have sure made up for that with the inane level of production we have seen during the third annual folding month. what this month lacks in surprises and excitement it made up for in sheer clout.

Before we get into the ranks and awards I want to give thanks, first of all I want to thank everyone who participated, no matter if you folded billions of points, or a handful of points, it truly is only a great event because all of you guys get involved.

I also want to thank the team behind the scenes, @leadeater deserves our thanks because he is the one who created the script that revolutionised the way in which we handle data, and it has continued to work without flaw during this event(Minus the human error at the start of the event). @marknd59 has been a massive help with validating the points for the daily updates ensuring we could be confident of the data we were publishing. @cbigfoot jumped in to help with points validation from time to time, especially after mark fell ill. @ssmmdd and @j1philli also helped with the event. I'm sorry if anyone from the events team has been missed.

My personal go to is, 'From LTT with love' but you are free to write your own note.

This year has been stressful for many of us, with great amounts of uncertainty and anxiety. It can easily be said that for some of us this year has been the most difficult in living memory. We have lost jobs, savings, our homes and even our loved ones, but here, on this forum we stand together, we stand strong and united. We are just one team of many working together to seek out knowledge where there was only a void before. To further the understanding of human health, to maximise our comprehension of diseases. This is a noble task, and for that, I salute you all.

    List of the honoured dead

It is a sad time when we see the demise of our hardware, even more sad when that hardware holding out a few more days or weeks would have secured a better position.

Now, it is time to get to what we have all waited for, THE RANKS!

In first place we have @Den-Fi, taking his throne for the second time. ALL HAIL THE KING! Sitting in what can only be called a very comfortable seat with 2,342,017,007 points he never really looked like loosing. Our previous best point total for any event was 886,386,763 points set during the last folding month. The most interesting point to make of his astounding victory is the fact that ran all of his hardware himself and didn't sport a single mercenary during the event.

In Second place we have @Macaw2000, the king of the mercenaries, he may have gain his position by the use of cloud computing but with 1,641,029,686 points we won't hold that against him. Our second person to have over one billion points for a folding event your name should be revered like royalty.

In third place we have @rodarkone, our third and final person to breach the one billion points barrier during folding month with 1,044,854,657 points to their name during this event has claimed this respectable position. Let your pride beam from you like the searing glow of a searchlight in the night.

4th place is filled by newbie @Unilevers with 941,856,695 points, this is still better than our historical best and a fine score to achieve during the event.

5th place is filled by @miker07with 845,682,351 points, down one position from last folding month.

    6th @Gorgonwith 843,750,865 points.

    7th @Shlouskiwith 657,555,359 points.

    8th @_Rlockewith 651,385,368 points.

    9th  @LAR_Systems with 542,632,893 points.

    10th @Justaphf with 521,033,918 points.

If you don't see your name on the sheet above you either did not sign up for this event or you did not meet the minimum requirements. All event badges will be handed out without any intervention needed from you guys, PLEASE DO NOT message me or the team about event badges. These badges are handled internally by the mod team and will be distributed shortly.

    The winners will have 7 working days from the publication of this post to claim the prize, if the prize goes unclaimed it may be raffled again, if it is not then it will be added to the community pool for future events. In order to claim the Prize you will need to PM me here on the forum, with the subject;

'I am here to claim what is rightfully mine!'

To claim an Amazon voucher you will need to produce some details such as email and the amazon region you use. f you use a currency different to USD we will give you the closest amount in your own currency.

    Now onto the little announcements!

The first to come is the new higher folding badge thresholds, these new values have been decided due to the increase of power a GPU can provide; this has made it much easier to achieve badges in recent years. The new thresholds below will come into force on January 1st, 2021. Anyone holding a current badge will be grandfathered in! This means you won't have your badge downgraded after the new thresholds come into effect.

    The second announcement is the new rules for future events, these rules are still preliminary and we are awaiting final confirmation from the mod team. these rules are subject to change;

Failing to meet the minimum requirements.

    Publicly discussing the administration of the event;
If you have an issue with the way in which the event is being conducted please reach out to an appropriate member of the event team.

Signing up to the event with a folding identity that is believed to not be your own.

Signing up to the event with more than one folding identity.

    Conducting yourself in a manner that is believed to be not in the spirit of the event, this includes but not limited to the below;
purposefully only meeting the minimum requirements, acting to undermine the integrity of the event, to attempt to cause division within the community.

Breaking any one of these rules will result in a disqualification from the event. It is also important to know that there is no appeal process for disqualifications.

LAR_Systems reacted to GOTSpectrum for a blog entry, Day Twenty-Three - Reflection
Honestly there's not much to talk about here so I am going to forgo the usual rankings and take this blog post to instead talk about why we fold. As I am sure you all know the world is currently in the grips of a viral pandemic that spreads across all continents, and has touched every country. Now, in recent times it is this pandemic that has been taking a major part of the computational power of the network, but there is other research that is being done.

Causes like cancer for instance, where it is hoped that by gaining better ideas around the development of cancers could lead to better treatments. I haven't talked about this much on here but my step-mum was  diagnosed with breast cancer just before the event started and has recently undergone surgery. it is hoped that there will be little need for further high aggressive treatment but it could still be another week or two before we know what, if any further treatment is required.

So, as much as this is a competition, it is sometimes nice to look back, at everyone else on the team, and all the other teams; to realise that we are all working together, towards improving human knowledge, human understanding. I think it is easy to forget that some of the work we are doing is right on the bleeding edge of human medical research.

Make sure you all take a short time to just appreciate what it is you are actually doing, what you are contributing towards.

The ever present and benevolent Den-fi continues his reign of chaos with 1,148.52 million points, producing over ten percent of the entire events output today is certainly looking undefeatable by this point in the event. Macaw2000 has made himself comfortable in second place with a very admirable 742.45 million points, and rodarkone is in third place with 689.07 million points. Unilevers is still sitting in fourth with 521.16 million points, miker07 is in fifth place with 475.67 million points, Gorgon takes sixth place with 461.21 million point. Then we see a large drop in the production levels, Shlouski takes 7th place with 371.89 million points, _Rlocke is on 8th place with 362.25 million points and LAR_Systems, the master of the great folding database takes 9th place with 291.64 million points. Finally we have justaphf in the gatehouse with 287.81 million points.

Den-Fi May as well take off by this point and just fly with the clouds and we got a man down at rank 14 with DirectingGnu2 producing no points over the last 24 hours

Continuing his stranglehold on the throne we have Den-Fi, with 681.28 million point he may as well be worshipped as a god among the men of TeamLTT, producing over 82 million points on this day alone it seems that he may still have a little juice left in those tanks. rodarkone continues in second place with 478.05 million points, but they will sure be yielding their Macaw who is currently in place with 433.03 million points, Mr.2k has been pushing his production to new heights also but it will be seen if he can begin to challenge the king himself. Unilevers is still cruising along in fourth place with 358.66 million points, Miker07 in fifth place is closing matching his performance but is lagging on total output with 320.70 million points so far. Gorgon finds himself in 6th place with 316.35 million points. He's fairly safe in that spot it seems with Shlouski currently in 7th place with 247.97 million points. _Rlocke is in 8th place with 237.50 million points. Justaphf is in 9th place with 199.53 million points but the Gatekeeper LAR_Systems is certainly in a position to 193.31 million points.

Further down the table we have numer 37 Dr.Roboknopp who has seen a massive explosion in production forcing their way up the rankings at a ferocious pace.

Den-Fi... Macaw... you uh... feeling alright.... so with Den-Fi and Macaw seeming like they need Folding Anonymous Sponsors rodarkone is looking like they are going to get left behind. There has been little movement in the ranks when it comes to the top 20 or so.

Den-Fi looks to be solidifying his place on the throne with 372.77 million points, rodarkone is still performing admirably in second place with 338.47, but Mac2k is certainly going to be posing him a challenge if today was anything to go by. Unilevers continues in third place with 249.33 million points, Miker07 could be facing more than one challenger but remains in fourth place with 221.02 million points. Gorgon could be overtaking Miker sometime in the future currently sitting in 5th place with 219.84 million points. But that probably wont happen before Macaw2000 in 6th place overtakes him, finding himself with impressive production and 204.86 million points. Shlouski maintains in 7th with 160.29 million points, _Rlocke is in 8th with 157.12 million points, 9th place is Justaphf with 139.85 million points and finally Baha has kept the title of gatekeeper, But LAR_Systems could very well be taking the gatehose in the coming days.

Well today has been a busy day for me, but I never thought I would be returning to seeing multiple people week over the 40m PPD barrier, fair play gents you have earned my, and probably many others admiration.

In first we have the nonbenevolent king on throne, with 310.57 million points he has certainly made himself the front-runner, redarkone has fallen to second, with 302.52 million points he will likely struggle to retake the throne unless he's willing to stick his hand into his pocket. Unilevers continues to remain in third place with 224.56 million points, the snack maker has got to be looking at their rear as there may be some upset on the way. Fourth place Miker07 has maintained 199.65 million points, as has Gorgon with 195.82 million points. Macaw2000 has also had an impressive day and has moved up to 6th place with 153.93 million points, and he is certainly looking like the run of form could continue. Shlouski has been knocked down to 7th place with 142.53 million points. _Rlocke has also been pushed down by a rank to 8th place with 138.96 million points. Justaphf was the final person to be pushed down the rankings by the ascending Mr. Mac, falling to the 9th spot with 124.83 million points. Finally the Gatekeeper Baha has 117.65 million points. But the keeper of the great folding database LAR_Systems could be making a run at the gatehouse.

LAR_Systems reacted to GOTSpectrum for a blog entry, Day Seven - The Close Of The First Week
First off, can I just say how disappointed I am in you all, there has been an issue with the event percentage for the whole first week and no one even noticed, was a stupid error on my part that has now been corrected, but still, seriously guys! It was an unfortunate case of the named range being used for the totals being referencing the wrong call. If I can find the time I will retroactively correct the previous days. Now, onto something a little more personal, I may not be around for most of tomorrow(well, today) as I will be starting a new mental health support group under the charity I run on Tuesday. I still have way more things that I need to get done than I'd like to admit. I'm sure you can all make do without me. I'll attempt to get the blog post done, and if all goes right it shall be done. But I'm not 100% sure on how long it's going to take so I'm just making you all aware in case I am MIA.

Once again rodarkone has stayed firmly planted on that throne with 234.17 million points, it has to be said, even I'm starting to think that Den-Fi in second with 232.55 million points is telling the truth and can't catch the the current crown holder, but still, there is that small part of me that looks at them trading back and fourth who produces the most and considers how little it would take. Unilevers continues to take the number three spot with 172.38 million points, miker07 with 152.72 million has moved to leapfrog Gorgon who has fallen to 5th place with 147.99m points. Shlouski with 111.8m points is enjoying life in 6th place right now but there are certainly some threats they will need to be keeping an eye on in the coming week is they are looking to keep their place on the board. _Rlocke has has a slow day and bags 103.4m points. 8th place is Justaphf with 95.3m points, but DirectingGnu2 has outproduced phf, whatever a phf even is, and with 92.5m points they will be looking at pushing further up the ranks unless the phf can keep up with the pressure. The gatekeeper continues to be Baha with 88.6m points.

Macaw2000 is certainly making a push and it will be seen if he can keep up the heat and force his way up the ranks. Another one to keep an eye on is D0ks who has performed above his current ranking would suggest and may have his eye on a more prestigious ranking. Also further down the table Scotschy has done well today and although they are unlikely to break into the blue ranks, they most certainly could be looking at the grey ranks if they can maintain.

LAR_Systems reacted to GOTSpectrum for a blog entry, Day Six - We Have Our First 200m
Day six has come and gone, rodarkone has surpassed 200m points for the event, but Den-Fi ain't too far behind, DirectingGnu2 looks like he could be making a push and Macaw2000 is certainly looking likes he's finally in the game.

rodarkone continues his benevolent reign sitting on the throne with 201.87 million points, The fallen king Den-Fi continues his form in second place but falling ever so slightly behind with 199.40 million points, I still don't trust the guy when he says he's going all out if I'm being honest, but we shall see. Third place Unilevers continues to make his position more comfortable, bagging himself 148.07 million points, so far it is not looking like anyone can challenge the top three, but as the veterans know, anything can happen over the next four weeks. Gorgon continues in fourth place sitting on 134.28 million points, but he will have to remain vigilant as Miker07 in fifth place has had a bumper day and could see him closing on the veteran folder if he manages to maintain higher production. 6th place Shlouski(Yes I spelt it right this time) has little chance of making their way higher up the rankings with 95.8m points. _Rlocke in 7th with 90.9 million points should be careful, with his low production today he could very much see his place on the rankings sink without some proactive measures being taken. Justaphf is looking isn't looking solid with his 80.7m points, DirectingGnu2 looks to be eyeing up that number 8 spot, with 77.5m points they aren't too far behind and we could see then moving up the table at this rate. Finally we have the gatekeeper at number 10 with 74.2m points. Looking down the table Macaw2000 could become a real threat to him as we all know what Mr 2k is capable of if he really pushes his mercenaries.

As the first week is coming into it's final days, we are certainly seeing how the ranks are starting to play out, but don't fear, because there are many more days to go for us to see a mix up of the ranks.

In first place we still have rodarkone sitting on the throne with 167.55 million points, but he certainly has no right to feel comfortable, Mr Den-Fi in second place, who is known to be slightly economical with the truth is certainly still in the realm of dangers. Unilevers sits in third place with 121.64 million points, their position is looking fairly safe for the time being. Gorgon had earned himself fourth place with 111.68 million points. Miker07 find himself slipping further behind the man ahead and if I were him I'd be looking at how to get some more folding power(psst try to recruit friends) if I were him. He needs not to fear Shlouski with only 79.5m points. But, _Rlocke is not too far behind 79.38m points who is currently sitting in 7th place. justaphf takes 8th place with 67.6m points. DirectingGnu2 has climbed yp to 9th place, leapfrogging LAR-Systems with 62.6m points and the new gatekeeper Baha with 61m points.

LAR_Systems reacted to GOTSpectrum for a blog entry, Day Four - Oh So Close
Well here we are, and I really am just blown away with this rodarkone and Den-Fi thing that we got going on, he tried so hard, and he got damn close this update, but yet, he was 40k shy of the mark, you'll get him next time.... Maybe.

In first place we have rodarkone, who right now with 133.95 million points, has had his lead slashed to only around 40k points. He should certainly be looking at fiddling with the knobs and dials if he is wanted to maintain his lead into the next update. In third place we have the makers of many a favourite food products, Unilevers with 95.61 million points. Gorgon find himself in 4th place, pretty much matching production but have a mountain to claim if he wants to move up the table with only 87.85 million points. Milker07 continues to sit comfortably in 4th place feeling rather safe with 82.1 million points. But the story on 6th and 7th place is much higher friction; With _Rlocke having 63.5m points followed closely by Shlouski with 63.2m points. With the production being so close it will be interesting too see if these guys try to push just that little harder in their fight. It wouldn't take much though to push them too far and to have a dropped WU or two causing them some upset, so beware. 8th place is justaphf, sitting on 54 million but with 9th place DirectGnu2 outproducing Mr. phf he will have to keep a close eye on that rear view mirror if he is looking to maintain his current respectable posistion. finally we have the wizzard of the folding database Mr. LAR_Systems rounding out the top ten with 48m points. He sits as the gatekeeper, and it must be said, there are some below him who will be eyeing up his seat, already outproducing him, he will certainly need to squeeze out some more juice is he is wanting to remate the gatekeeper for the duration.

So, will Den-Fi take the throne in the next update, With Unilevers fall, can Mr. database keep a hold on that number ten or will a new face emerge from the lower ranks and break down the gatehouse, only time will tell.

Ladles and gentlespoons, We come together today to celebrate Wait, wrong speech.

Here we are again for another year, I'm really looking forward to see what we can do between CUDA and the new 30 series cards for the few that have them. It will also be nice to se some tier two event badges knocking around the forum. I am so happy to see the regulars, and even more happy to see some new names in the list!

In First place we have rodarkone with 34.47 million points, an impressive number and it will be interesting to see if Den-Fi can throw a little more skin into the game as he is trailing very narrowly with 32.3 million points. JoYoung finds himself taking the number three spot with 28.19 million points, as a new face around here he is sure showing he wont be having anyone take his lunch money if his first day in the playground is anything to go by. Fourth place is occupied the well known Miker07 with 21.29m points, Unilevers has no respect for social distancing hovering behind him with 21.05m points. with the top five already pulling away we have Gorgon taking sixth place with 16.7m points. _Rlocke will be looking to see if he can squeeze out some more juice as he is only a stones throw behind with 16.0m points. 8th place is Shouski with 14.3 million points followed up by Justaphf with 13.6m points and the top ten is rounded out by Mr.FoldingDatabase himself LAR_Systems with 10.4 million points.

As many of you know, I am still recovering from my recent medical issues so I will keep this brief.

I'm going to pass on my usual commentary, instead I am once again going to talk about the importance of what we are doing here. I think sometimes we can forget, getting lost on all the competition and events that we are assisting with medical research. The time that we spend here, suffering from the heat could help many people some day, be that cancers, neurological issues, COVID or any number of other things. With my own medical issues I can tell you that someday, this work could seriously, benefit people like myself. The benefit may not be in our lifetimes, but someday. I don't often talk about my medical health, neither here or in real life. Because it is what it is, I can't change it. I want you all to know that you are all truly amazing people for giving up your time, energy, and money for this. So guys, push hard, lets see what we can do!

I hope you are all taking the heat well, find below the day break down and rankings. Stay safe everyone.
