  1. So i got a 4tb nvme ssd for my itx machine and one thing i noticed it is it's duble sided with chips and comes off thicker, so heatplate i had can't really fit both sides. I was thinking to swapping out the nvme from the front side(also the :C/ OS) to the rear and have the 4tb on front with the integrated heatsink, and the :C/ drive in the back. Will this cause any errors? Thanks!
  2. Yeah, im getting off the ride now. No time for jokes or hawk new merch. Monetizing the video may have been a mistake but the video info still has links to buy stuff. What Maddison gone through is bullshit. That video Gary propused should not be locked behind any paywall on floatplane and brought to public for full transparency. Screw the money, you have a reputation to rebuild.
  3. THat wasn't meant to be pro LTT video. more that the reason why they spend more time on their merch is that people can get a refund on those if it's bad and potentially lose money. Video doesn't have that problem, you can't refund a view.
  4. if they failed the screwdrivers badly, they would be holding onto over hundreds of thousands of dollars of scrapped waste. Video is something LTT make cheapily at this point.
  5. I mean, that should be the job of the writer, and if they want to get into more editorial content, hire for journalsit editor type positions.
  6. Hello all. I made a Gaming PC for my uncle and his kids. They are pretty savy but i want to make some kind of doc to asnwer ant questions or leave any notes for them to fall back to if they have any trouble. If you were a first time owner of a gaming pc, what do you wish was in it or what should it have to be helpful?
  7. Hello all. I took photos at a con yesterday and this morning before I leave I try to back up the photos i took. When i insert the card into a card reader it asks me to format the card. i click cancel because i don't want to delete the photos, but then an error message pops up I also put the carr back into the camera and now that says it's not reading the card and please format. I will be off for the con today, but will read responses when i am back later today. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Oh, I am not in big picture mode, it's just that's the only way to access those settings. And I only have one controller connected at the time of dealing with this. that and a razer kraken pro.
  9. Hello everyone. I built a new PC and it runs great, but i found that there is an issue with some games on steam and the xbox controller i am using. I rember this being an issue with an other build i did but forgot the solution. I also already tried to toggle some settings on steam but it seems to only work for some games and not all. And the reason why i know it's a Steam issue is because games on other launchers work as they should. Another random thing though, is with the settings on from steam, anpther shooter I was playing, jumping in the game would cause the gun to fire for some reason. The issue changed when i turned the controller settings off in steam. It wasn't even a game launched on steam. >Settings i tried: Toggled all settings off. Toggled these settings on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  10. Hello. I am working on cleaning up and upgrading and old workstation that i have, an HP Z800. I want to replace the CPU fan but the MoBo looks to be proprietary and has a 5 pin header instead of a 4 or 3 pin one. Looking it up, there are 5 pin header to 4 pin cables available but they are mostly labled for DELL. Is it still ok to use one anyways? 11. Hello all. I just built a new PC, it's nothing special and made specifically for guests who visit the house. I used my Microsoft account for the setup but kinda want to not use it and be a stand alone PC. I think this may also be a bad idea, incase something happens and i can't access the PC for what ever reason. Should I make a sock-puppet MS account for guests? is there anyway to make an account without that? I do know there is a way to make a "guest" account already. Let me know if there are things to know or try. Thank you.
  12. Hello everyone I'm having trouble with fixing my Bluetooth devices. Some searches led me to device manager but that's when I noticed that the whole page would constantly blink or refresh. Also, when I try to add or remove bt devices, intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) is blinking as well. Is there a way i can tur this on and off again? Restarting PC does not help. Any advice would be appreciated. 13. I believe this happened when i tried to change my PCIe settings on bios. I was trying to get my capture card to work over 1080p 60hz and read to set the PCIe correctly for this to work. I did, but that didn't even work for my capture card. Now all my USB devices will go off and on again at random times. Additionally, I cannot control any bluetooth settings, and if i try to add anything, it immediately says "Couldn't Connect." I've tried updating my bios because it was out of date, and setting bios options to default but these problems still persist. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks! 14. More just thinking about "affordable" gpu's and wonder if Nvidia would ever try the 16 series cards again. I know GPU's are a touchy subject but this is theoretical anyways.
  15. Hey all. I've been thinking about trying to design a custom PC case. is there any case makers or other refrences that shows exact measurments for everything in the case? I was thinking ATX mid towers and larger would be good. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
  16. Hello. I just got in town after a long drive when all of a sudden my iPhone 8 looks like it's broken, although the screen looks to be in one piece still. sometimes it doesn't respond to touch, other times it does, and sometimes it acts as something is being pressed so it could be the screen has pressure on it in some way? I'm going to try and get it fixed but i wanted to know what could be wrong with it before i give it to a shop. Any help would be appreciated.
  17. Default settings on OBS and Elgato 4k capture does not work. I get what I posted above. Im just passing it through to my monitor Gaming PC > Capture/Stream PC > Monitor.
  18. Hello. I was messing with a whole other thing (changing my resolution for the capture card). Of course all my windows get reoriented but my battlenet app seems to be invisible now. Even hovering the window shows as nothing. I did at one point get a blank window in space of the bnat app, but closing anre reopening had it invisible again. I've tried snapping the window, cascading the windows, and showing stacked and side by side but none seem to work. Any help out there that someone can offer? Thanks!
  19. Hi all, I have a Elgato 4k60 pro. I noticed this with my xbox one x that i couldn't run it in 1440p. I just built a dedicated streaming machine and i'm still seeing the same thing when the EDID is set to anything above 1440p. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
  20. I'm building in the Cooler Master Q300L so space is real limited. And the card was something iv've been using for months now so it's not returnable anymore. I originally had it 1 machine and tried to move it to this one as a dedicated streaming machine.
  21. Hello. This is a really dumb question, what is the best possible thing that i can wedge between a gpu and a card right under it to give a bit of extra space between the two. Im working on a MATX machine and placed GPU on the top pcie slot and an elgato capture card in the bottom slot which has it's pcb and parts exposed on top. I haven't turned it on yet for other reasons, but i have tries spinning the fan and it's definitely hitting something in the top of the capture card. Is there some thing i can wedge between the two without causing damage? The best idea i have is an eraser from a mechanical pencil. I am open to other creative ideas.
