  1. Interesting, I have a 3090 and a 3700x, and get about 140 in warzone, but was hoping for higher. During the day I have been having drops while working, Skype/teams noticeably, but it doesn't appear to be long enough, or bad enough for other work tools to be affected. Will get onto my ISP, as their tool says broadband is completely fine.
  2. Dell s2721dgf, think that is it, would be really nice in a dual setup. Should get two for under £700. 27" 1440p 165hz, although it may be overkill for what you need.
  3. Lots of discounts usually on the dell, either by using a student/AC email address, or using a companies dell advantage awards. I managed to get it for £330.
  4. Maybe she should be looking at having her eyes checked.
  5. The LG mentioned above is the LG 27gn950, which hardware unboxed are trying to review soon. It looks good on paper, but has had availablity issues since it was released roughly April time. If you can wait till after Christmas, alot of people have been mentioning we should see alot more 4k 144hz monitors coming out by then.
  6. I like it as it is a bit toned down compared to the LG, the only thing I am finding is the darks while playing in the dark, but also this is kind of known, and I came from a tn which probably makes it even more noticeable. I have seen or heard of the cable you are talking about, so sadly cannot say.
  7. It is possible to get the dell s2721dgf for £330, keep an eye out on ukhotdeals, or if you have access to a student email dell do discounts, same if you work in an office, your work might be part of dell advantage scheme. This uses the same panel as the 27GN850. I got mine including next day delivery for £330.
  8. I want to see some proper reviews of the LG 27gn950 which is 4k and 144hz, for just under £800.
  9. I got a dell s2721dgf today. From reading it has the same panel as the highly rated lg27gl850, but 165hz out of the box, also has a more extravagant surrounding. If you know someone that works in a big office, they may be able to get you a further 15% off with dell advantage, or have access to a student email address, dell also does discounts for them. I managed to get it delivered for £330 all in.
  10. I ordered this yesterday, arriving today. Dell also do a lot of discounts (student/dell advantage through work), so I got this for £330 delivered where as the LG 27gl850 was £430 delivered.
  11. I have actually went for s2721dgf for £330, supposedly the exact same panel that is in the LG 27gn850
  12. I went for the LG one aswell, was supposed to be arriving today on next day delivery, but it isn't Order cancelled as a matter of principle.
  13. I am in a similar situation to yourself, but going for a dual monitor setup which then restricts me to two 27" monitors. I should be receiving a LG 27gl850 today, and will see how that is compared to my 24" zowie xl2546s, mainly FPS games that I play, then work and studying. Depending on how that is, is it handles games, I might buy a second, maybe black Friday, or if it comes back in stock, look at the 27gn950 monitor. It looks like you need to provide more info, use of monitor, I only see cyber punk listed, how many you need, distance you sit away etc
  14. Thanks, I was wondering if reviewers were laying it on think with regards to the brightness issues, or just going by stats without testing. I was looking at the 27gn950, but at twice the price, sporadic availability, 27inches, I am starting to think, high 1440p over 144fps, may just be as good as low 4k 120fps.
  15. Hi, Looking at getting a new monitor for mainly first person shooter games. I will be coming for a 1080p 24" 240hz TN panel Does anyone have a dual setup of different resolution monitors? Will be pairing it with a rtx 3000 series card. Cheers Jim
