  1. OMG you guys.. I figured out the issue. So after doing some research on this card, it has a thermal shutdown of 118 °C. They don't specify what sensor they are using to detect and warrant a shutdown.. So watching the temps under the "tuning" section in the AMD software, the Junction temperature Spiked to 119 °C and then my computer shut off! I have never used the Adrenaline software to watch the cards temps etc... I use another piece of software to monitor temps that didn't actually show the junction temp. So over the last few hours, I have rigged up a spare AIO liquid cooler I had laying around to my card and put heat sinks on the ram and power IC's with two 120 mm fans blowing on them. (my case is now on it side so the fans can be pointed at the card) My card is now stable AF and as a unbelievable side bonus, the "stuttering" issues I had are also gone! Smooth as glass! These air coolers the manufactures are putting on, are not up to the task of cooling these cards!
  2. MSI: Evoke (after fix), Mech (after fix) What do you mean by "after fix?" Fix what? I have a MSI Mech OC. and am having problems with it. Is there some fix I should know about?
  3. Hi all, First off, I tried searching for my exact issue on these forums and didn't come up with anything relevant. So I have an MSI RX 5700XT Mech OC card. What started happening recently, within the last week, is that when I start a game, say, Call of duty Warzone, After about 1 to 2 mins into the game, the computer will shut off. Like immediately! Just absolutely shut down like the power was cut It is driving me nuts now as I cannot game with this card. Here are my specs: Motherboard - Gigabyte x570 Aorus Pro Wifi CPU - AMD Ryzen 3800x RAM - 16GB (2x8GB) G.Skil Ripjaws F4-3600C16D-16GVKC (XMP profile enabled) Storage - WD Black 1TB Nvme SSD Power Supply - Corsair RM850x power supply GPU - MSI RX 5700XT Mech OC Here is what I have done for troubleshooting so far. 1, borrowed a RTX 2070 from a friend - games run fine, no crashes 2, tried different driver versions on the AMD card. crashes still happen. 3, reinstalled windows clean on SATA SSD and ran the game, crashes still happen 4, tried a different power supply, crashes still happen. 5, tried undervolting and/or downclocking the card, crashes still happen The card temps seem normal (mid 60s) while I am gaming so I don't think it is overheating. The card was functioning fine right up to the point when it didn't. No abuse, no overheating, nothing... Obviously trouble shooting step number 1 is the best solution.. however, he was nice enough to lend it to me.. keeping it was out of the question! lol (I wish!) I know this all points to an issue with the card itself but I refuse to believe that. The card has been treated with care and respect. Also, when I search this problem online, SO MANY people are complaining of the same issue. However I have not had any luck finding a solution. I doubt the card is defective.
