  1. Yes games do run, and they run well, when the card feels like working which is the majority of the time. I recall I tried to flash a vbios to it as I thought it had a mining BIOS but it just kept giving me errors, not sure if I did it incorrectly or if there's a bad Bios on it. I do have replacement fans for the card but I haven't gotten around to messing with it.
  2. Ok, so I know the issue is my gpu, but I don't have the money to buy a new one in these weird times. I've had the card for a while, got it used from ebay (it was lightly mined on from what little the owner said) and it causes some odd issues. Lately, when playing games I'll get an error message saying the render device was lost. But the weirdest one is when I turn on my PC. In order for my PC to actually turn on, I have to unplug my Display port cable, and wait for the rgb on the gpu, mouse, and keyboard are solid, then plug in the display port and use windows. If I turn it on without doing this, the rgb on the gpu and peripherals don't turn on, and I don't get anything from my monitor. If anyone has any ideas about what the heck is wrong with this thing, let me know. It also overheats and has a busted up fan, which I plan to replace today.
  3. When I try to, I get an error message stating "Subsystem Mismatch error"
  4. So I bought a used Gigabyte Auorus RX 580 8gb that was used for mining. It didn't even work when I got it but I eventually got drivers on it and now it works fine until I was playing Destiny 2 last night and the game randomly froze, I saw some artifacts, then the screen turned Purple/Pink and there was a loud buzz coming through my headphones. I looked at GPU-Z thinking it had a mining BIOS or something odd on it, and what I found is it doesn't have the correct BIOS a Gigabyte Auorus should have. It instead has Bios Version 015.050.000.001.000000 which doesn't line up with the Tech Power up VBIOS database for the model I have. https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/?architecture=&manufacturer=Gigabyte&model=RX+580&version=&interface=&memType=&memSize=8192&since= When I tried to use AMD Winflash, I got a Subsystem ID Mismatch error. I really don't know what to do.
  5. Ok, I'll do a bit more research on em and see what else I can find. One thing I keep seeing is 7.1 Surround Sound. Are headphones with this better than the Stereos like the Cloud Core? I also saw something about being able to make Stereo headphones surround sound...
  6. After some thinking, I'm thinking of going with these https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hyperx-cloudx-pro-wired-gaming-headset-for-xbox-one-black/6233106.p?skuId=6233106&ref=212&loc=1&extStoreId=395&ref=212&loc=1&ds_rl=1260666&ds_rl=1266837&ds_rl=1268709&ds_rl=1266837&gclid=Cj0KCQjwoKzsBRC5ARIsAITcwXEEVQ1wyBiCt9DTHsqVs3Z4tIG5al7gYjru0YtoWeeuj0XOq1onR2caAi5REALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds They're on sale, look great, and will hopefully sound great too. If you have any better suggestions please let me know!
  7. Hmm not really sure about those, they look a little too dorky and uncomfortable
  8. Not sure about going used, I saw some Hyper x cloud Pro headphones on sale, are those any good? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hyperx-cloudx-pro-wired-gaming-headset-for-xbox-one-black/6233106.p?skuId=6233106
  9. I've been using a single Walmart checkout line earbud for the past 2 years, and need an upgrade, but I'm not sure what to go with. I have a dedicated Blue Snowball microphone, so I'm not really looking for a headset, more for headphones/headset with a removable mic. Thanks for the help!
