I just upgraded my gaming maching to an ASUS ROG STRIX X570-F Gaming with a Ryzen 7 3800X. I have two memory kits I can used with it. A Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 CL15 and a much more expensive G.Skill Trident Z Neo 3600 CL 14. Both kits are listed in the QVL for my motherboard. Everything works fine with the Corsair kit installed, I've not had any problems. But with the G.Skill kit I've had issues in games. Borderlands 3 crashes regularly, and Destiny 2 also crashes fairly regularly saying "GRAPHICS RUNTIME DETECTED A CRASH OR LOSS OF DEVICE" Which could be down to my GPU (GTX 1070) but I've never had any trouble with it. I have run the G.Skill kit through MEMTEST86 without issue. Is anyone aware of any issues with G.Skill RGB memory in X570 or ASUS ROG Strix motherboards? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I've switched to using NZXT's CAM for system monitoring, it seems to be reading everything correctly. but doesn't give me a per thread usage display I mean, that display would tell me nothing useful, but it would look cool

I'm using this rainmeter skin to monitor the state of the CPU in my computer (Ryzen 7 3800X) and I'm having trouble interpreting some of the values. Does each row represent a group of 4 threads? I'm assuming that because of the 4 boxes at the right of each row, totally 16 boxes, and it's a 16 thread processor. So the graph is the usage history of those 4 threads? I think I have that figured out. What I'm not sure about are the P0, L0, P1, L1, P2, L2, and so on percentages? I remember in a recent video Linus mentioned "(some word I can't remember) domains" on a processor, is that what those are?

On a side note, I'm not currently using the Thermistor that came with the motherboard, is there somplace people recommend placing it?

If problems appear I'll do that.

I didn't even think of the VRMs that's a very good point, and I'm aware that they can warm really hot... That eases my mind quite a bit. Thank you.

Here's my Ryzen Master screen, I'm not familiar with the program, is there somewhere I can look to see a more detailed temperature readout?

I tried that, I don't remember it giving me all the data I was looking for, but I'll check it again

I have recently purchased an ASUS ROG STRIX x570-F motherboard, and an AMD Ryzen 7 3800x processor. Everything seems to be going really well, but there are some temperature readings that seem _really_ high. The CPU and motherboard temps are fine, but some of the other sensors are reading what seem to me to be extremely high temps. For my old motherboard there was some monitoring software that would show the temperature, and where it was read from on the board. I can't find a similar app for this motherboard. All I have are these HWINFO64 readings with (seemingly) extremely high Temp2 and Temp5 readings. I've installed the Wraith Prism that came with the processor and have done no overclocking. I also have 4 case fans, 1 intake on the front, 2 exhaust on the top and 1 exhaust on the rear. So I would think my cooling's adequate for a non-overclocked CPU Are these temps something I should be worried about? Is there an application which can tell me where on the motherboard they're being measured? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
