  1. I didn't but I ran the memory diagnostics tool and it showed no errors. But yes I think it did start just after I installed the new ram. I maybe should still try removing them! Can you explain what's a protection circuit? I will try running furmark and cinebench!
  2. Hello dear forum users! Please help me! I have a problem with my PC randomly shutting off during gaming. It happens exactly like when there is a power outage, except the RGB lights on my RAM stay on. After shutting off, the pc seems to try to re-launch itself after like 2-3 seconds, but it fails and only the ram lights stay on. If I click with the mouse or push the power button (pushing once, not holding, If I hold the ram lights shut off too) nothing happens. Waiting for a few minutes will do nothing. After this happens the only way I can get the PC to start up again is if I unplug the whole thing from the wall, push the power button to release any power left inside, wait for like 20 seconds and turn it back on. Then it turns on sort of like normal, it turns on once, shuts off, then turns on fully after 4-6 seconds (it does like a cycle) and then it is fully functional once again. This shut-off (as far as I observed) only happens when I am gaming on demanding games, and after at least 2-3 hours of gaming, and randomly. Sometimes it won't happen for days, sometimes it happens twice a day etc. Context: Here are the specs: CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz (running at 4,7 Ghz oc-d, never had problems with that) GPU: asus rog strix OC 2070 super Ram: G skill tridentZ rgb 3200mhz 4x8gb mobo: Asus ROG STRIX Z390-F GAMING PSU: Be quiet! 750W Straight Power 11 +! Might be important: I have recently installed another set of the G-skill ram (2x8gb more, it is exactly the same model timing and everything, though it is about 4 years newer in terms of production) Troubleshooting I've tried already: I thought that the addition of the new ram sticks may have just jumped over my 750W PSU's capabilities, so I lowered maximum CPU usage to 85% in windows power plan, and put nvidia control panel's power setting to optimal power savings instead of prefer max performance. (I have no idea if these do anything to really help me tho, I'm kind of a noob.) If you have any suggestions or know what is going on, please tell me. Thanks all.
  3. Dear forum readers, I need help with some rouge GPU fans. I have an ASUS ROG STRIX 2070 Super OC (ROG-STRIX-RTX2070S-O8G-GAMING) that I bought in january 2020, and it has been working flawlessly ever since. I've been mining crypto with the card with Nicehash for about one year now, mostly 24-0, and I always used it for gaming since I got it. The card was ultra smooth and fine, I usually used it with max power limitation (41%), 50% fan speed, 400 memory OC and -400 core oc, with temps around 48C, and it was mining at a stable 39,9 MH and fans pretty quiet. While gaming I set the OC to default and it worked as it should. A few days ago when I turned the PC off for about a day and then on again, when I turned it on, the GPU fans (I've disconnected the gpu power and checked for noise, it is the GPU for sure) were randomly going crazy about 2-3 minutes after startup. I start the pc, windows boots, and a few minutes pass with the GPU's fans not even spinning a bit, then they randomly take on like 80%-100% i dont know what speed for no reason, (temp is 32C, no load at all), and they are LOUD. They also make weird noises, and sometimes they go slower for a few seconds and go back to loud again, sometimes they make veeery very weird noises like they are struggling or changing speed multiple times in a second or I don't know. All the while MSI afterburner is still set to the same mining OC, and I tried to set it to low fan speeds but it doesen't do anything, it just doesen't work. I've reinstalled afterburner, tried to check for any other fan speec control apps running but had no luck. My computer is so loud because of this that I can't mine on it anymore, since it is in my room, and it even bothers me while gaming, it's so loud. Did my GPU give up (as in faulty fans or ruined fans or something)? If that's the case, I still have 10 months of warranty, would that be a solution? Or maybe this is some software or BIOS thing that I could possibly fix myself. After the noise started, I cleaned out the GPU fans of all the dust on them, noise and weirdness persisted. Thank you if you can help! Edit: If I put the fan speed to minimum in afterburner (25%) They actually go a little quiet(er) now, but they still randomly try to go faster and after some time they start going fast again. Seems like something is forcing it to fluctuate in speed...
  4. I finally figured it out with the help of a guy that has experience with JBL stuff, the sizzling is caused by the SBC codecs of the bluetooth connection... I tried the same song with a 3.5mm connection now and it played perfectly fine on all volumes. Disappointing tbh... At least I know my product is not faulty.
  5. Okay, so today I did more listening and dug a bit deeper with this issue. The speaker is working flawlessly, in almost every song. The crackle/buzz is coming in from songs that are heavy on 16khz sound. I found this out by using the equalizer in Spotify, if I turn down the 16khz completly (during the tiesto song), it stops with the sizzling. I'll add this in an edit too. Anyone has an idea if this means a bad connection in the speaker, a bad tweeter or just that the speaker is not good enough to output that type of sound? Ty
  6. If I use the volume buttons on the speaker, it turns up the volume on the phone so it's the same value at all times.
  7. Yes it is better, but most importantly I want it becouse it's for house parties, and I want the sound source somewhere else (the tv sound system focuses on the tv room/couch) I'll try to connect the speaker to the TV tomorrow. Thanks all
  8. I tried it now, it starts crackling at around 30% volume (the first 25 seconds of the tiesto song) It's not really even crackling, it's a distortion of some sort.
  9. This one sounds just fine. I mostly have bass heavy songs in my playlist ( https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFaMA2KrYAHHbEdeMl5_llKVQW2gHXd7C ), so that's not the problem. I thought it might be a tweeter thing? I'm just hoping someone knows better...
  10. I've recently started using my brand new Boombox 2, and it's honestly great, but today I've noticed something really frustrating. So certain songs - can't specify what kind of sound, there are just like 2 songs in my 90 song playlist that noticeably make the speaker crackle. It's not an obnoxious crackle that makes the song unenjoyable, it's just a slight crackling noise that I know should not be there. I've also noticed that when using my older Ipad to play the music instead of my phone, this crackling is much more present and can be heard in more songs (wtf?). So is this just a connection issue? Or should I return the speaker asap because it's a faulty device? I have no idea, but this really frustrates me. The speaker was too expensive for such inconveniences. I just find it very weird, like in most songs the speaker does amazingly fine, even better than my harman/kardon or sonos speakers, but in some cases I can hear that slight annoying crackle... If someone maybe knows something about audio stuff, the song that noticeably crackles is: Tiësto - Show Me, first 25 seconds... Thanks Edit: Okay, so today I did more listening and dug a bit deeper with this issue. The speaker is working flawlessly, in almost every song. 11. Hi, I was wondering if this is possible. I've tried to do this with the screen mirroring feature (I use an iPhone, have a samsung smart TV with Apple TV), but as soon as I start mirroring, the audio stops on the bluetooth speaker and starts playing on the TV home theatre system (in this case the JBL was still connected via bluetooth, but the sound was coming from the TV). I also tried AirPlay, I tried the screenshare feature in Youtube Music, but every time I connect the screen to the TV the audio goes there aswell. So is there like an app that can seperate screen and audio?
  12. Hi guys, My friend just got his first pc, downloaded win10pro (and updated to latest version) and his file explorer looks like this: The text is in hungarian, but don't let that confuse you. The point is that the tray from the left is missing (where you would usually see all the stuff you have on ur pc) and we don't know of a way to fix this. can anyone help?:D
  13. https://prnt.sc/rdaasq So turns out the file was encrypted on old windows install and now I don't have the encrypt certificate to decrypt it.... Is there anything I can do with this??
  14. https://prnt.sc/rda7in as seen on this pictue I even gave full control to everyone, and still can't access the file. If I try to copy the file, I see this: https://prnt.sc/rda8d1 and after I hit continue this: https://prnt.sc/rda83q I'm clueless and these were very important files... oh man..
  15. Ok so now I know that I do have ownership on these files, but they were encrypted on my last windows install. Problem is I§'ve already wiped that old windows drive. Does this mean I jsut can't decrypt these files and will never be able to access them???? oh sh$t
  16. Today I wiped my PC (saving only the files I wanted to carry on) and installed my new ssd-s. I installed windows on the ssd, everything is fine, but I've noticed that I can't access this bunch of files that I didn't delete before the new installation. This is what I see now: so all the unaccessable files have this little mark on them which I think is something I tried to do with them to keep them secure cause these are actually all my passwords lmao: this is what I can read when tryna open it: I've tried TakeOwnership, didn't work. Please help
  17. Here in Hungary the ADATA is just 53$cheaper, still worth to go with that?
  18. Where do I find nvenc settings? I know i'm dropping frames, but then what causes that? Please read the everything, I mentioned it. I don't think dropping 2% frames would cause immense stutter (but only sometimes like wtf) and audio desync...
  19. Well I just read that the samsung ssds were the best and most reliable, but tbh, I'd not back off from a cheaper option atm if you can verify that it's just as good as the samsung. I'd still get a 500gb samsung one next to it tho, would put my Win and basic programs on that?
  20. can't atm, I have - 40kbr-100kbr-220kbr- recordings, issue is same for all, sometimes they play good, other times they stutter. While running the footage in my editing program, the active time of the HDD is 100%, read speed is at around 128mb/s, although task manages says it can go up to 250mb/s?
  21. crystal disk info says the HDD is good. Can't check recording now, as EA servers are down.
  22. Hello everyone, - PLEASE HELP, THIS IS MAKING ME GO NUTS - I started making Apex Legends videos for my youtube channel lately. I downloaded OBS to do the recordings, which it took 2 days for me to get it to work flawlessly and record 1440p 60fps footage without stutter and without problems. For a little less than two weeks, the recordings were all fine and I could 7 videos in perfect quality, but after that something just went wrong. I have no idea what could have happened, becouse as far as I remember, I didn't change any settings on anything. The recordings started to stutter again. Hard. One recording (1hour+) even got so bad it was just some weird blocks of colors for the whole period. It has been another week of me trying to figure it out, and now I'm lost in what might be the issue. I seeked all kinds of forums for help, improved my recording settings, and did all I could to fix the stutter. The Issue I have now is very weird. After recording, the footage now (after changing my settings in obs to the preferred - will attach obs logfile) seems to be good, but then whenever I try to play the video with VLC media player (supposedly latest version) it can't play the video correctly and stutters, even the sounds go off sometime. But then here's what makes me go mad - sometimes when I try to play the footage, it's perfectly fine, like what the actual #&$! ?? Same when I import the media to my video editing program - sometimes the footage is fine, sometimes it goes nuts with the stutter and with the sound going further then the video. Sometimes i nthe video editing program or in VLC half of the footage is fine, and then it just starts the stutter and sound desync again. I think something might be faulty in my system or maybe something is just not fast enough, I have no idea at this point and I'm confused to hell with it. I've had to stop making the compilations becouse I don't want to output stuttery gameplay on the channel. I tought it might be that I'm using a cheap drive to record my videos to and edit them from, it's a Toshiba 1TB 64MB HDWD110UZSVA 7200rpm HDD. I wanted to get nvme storage anyways, but not necessairly, if you guys tell me it will likely fix my issue, I'll grab 1,5 TB of samsung 970 evo plus (1x1tb 1x500gb) and just re-do my system on those and record footage to the 1tb one. Would that help? My Win, vlc, obs and editing software are on my C drive which is an old (~5yrs old) samsung 120gb SSD. I record and edit footage directly from the HDD. As I said earlier, I was able to use this setup and produce great quality videos for about 10 days. Might it be that my hdd failed in some kinda way? After the terrible stuttering started again I realized that my HDD was almost already full from all the footage I recorded, so when it had about 90gbs of the 1tb left, I made a folder to all the finished videos and deleted all the raw footage to replenish its storage - tought it might remove the stutter, but it didnt. Also, the footage I make right now with obs has about 2% fps drops seen in the logfile, but I think that's acceptable for quality. I do think that it didn't have any dropped frames when I first started making the videos tho. ASK ME ANYTHING, I'LL PROVIDE ANY INFO THAT COULD HELP, I NEED TO GET THIS FIXED ASAP Thank you!
