RainingTacco reacted to mariushm in i have a ATI Readeon B629 (old) is there anyone interested in it?
It's not worth even 2-3$. It has that DMS-59 connector, which means you need to buy an extra adapter cable that converts that connector to 2 DVI or 2 VGA connectors.
It doesn't have Windows 10 drivers. Even Windows 7 drivers may be hard to find.

You can buy newer cards like HD 5450 or HD 6350, some with regular DVI and DisplayPort for less money, here's a couple random ebay search results:

I think that's a good deal. If you come from Vega 64 reference then you will still be satisfied with noise level.

What are you talking about? E-inks have always been this laggy. They need to refresh the whole screen and it always takes about a second

Look at the graphic of the motherboard spec you just shared. It is limited to 20Gbps (PCIe 2.0 x4). You need a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot to allow full performance. For the limitation, your speeds look correct.

Doesn't seem like anything is coming out. Should be some renders at the very minimum if they were coming out soon.

Considering companies are releasing B450 boards with updated BIOS chips and out of the box support for Ryzen 3000? I think B550 is practically dead.

Your money.  I am personally trying to spend as little on a gpu as humanly possible till I get a good idea of what is going to be needed after the upcoming consoles release.

RainingTacco reacted to HumdrumPenguin in Can I run 1440p 144hz??
Your CPU will be the bigger bottleneck for high refresh rate. You will be able to run 1440p at medium/high, depending on the game. I used to have a 4790k and a gtx 1080.

    RainingTacco reacted to BTGbullseye in 5700 XT, 1080p 144Hz vs 1440p 144Hz?
That is a significant bottleneck for 1080p gaming. You're going to have issues getting to 144FPS either way with it, so might as well go for the better looking resolution.

Of course, I wouldn't be overly worried about resolution if either of the options were a TN panel. TN is very much not a good panel technology, and you should look for VA or IPS only. (VA has much better blacks, IPS has slightly better viewing angles)

    200w vs 130w

If your old 480 make your case warmer then your case ventilation is not good enough to dump that extra 70w.

Hi everyone, I just upgraded from a 1060 6GB to a RX5700xt, I am currently trying to sell my 1060 6GB but as the title says, I was wondering if there will be a benefit from using those 2 together, or am I just better off selling it?

    Thanks for your time.

Do you have "enable unified gpu monitoring" checked? Why im asking? Well because you have the same core clock and vastly different GPU utilization which tells me it is incorrectly reading the utilization from GPUs that can boost in a matter of microseconds. When using newer cards[that can boost] you should always enable that option.

RainingTacco got a reaction from Ben17 in i think my 5700XT is overheating
Antec P8 is very closed case, you need these three front fan slots occupied with high air static pressure fans and on quite high rpm do push lot of airflow. Your best bet is going negative pressure route. With 6 fans though you should be fine even with such case. GPU temp is not important for you, just watch the edge/junction temp not going over 90 degrees if possible. It can go as high as 105, but i doubt the card longevity[AMD says its fine, but...]
