  1. Ive installed AMD drivers minute ago and you can't. You get whole package, relive, some social media linking etc.
  2. I like the fact that nvidia let you choose what to install, you can either use experience or not. Their driver might look dated, but i think simple UI is better in some regards, if it can provide the same funcionality of course.
  3. 5700 XT is a hit or miss, you either get a good card or no driver problem, or you get a bad card or have driver problems. Depending on the prices in your country, nvidia can be competitive in prices in perf/price ratio.
  4. Never listen to people saying that you "have enough RAM/VRAM", more is always better if the price is comparable.
  5. 3GB is worthless in any modern game, even on lowest detail the games push close to 3gb of ram. And textures are usually a free fidelity upgrade, i would always take a GPU with 8gb of ram even for 1080p, even if it isnt powerful enough to run ultra. You can chose high/ultra textures, and chose less details. Textures barely affect performance with modern GPUs.
  6. If the 1080ti has normal warranty then go for it.
  7. High inrush current. Your safety fuse popped out right?
  8. I think that's a good deal. If you come from Vega 64 reference then you will still be satisfied with noise level.
  9. Top mounted intake fans seems like a bad idea. Only one exhaust? Make sure you put out every PCI extension slot from case, to expand the exhaust route. Also wouldn't hurt if you could put PSU with intake placed inside case[of course if there are holes in the shroud]. You can remove the drive cage and the front shroud cover for better ventilation if you go 3x120 route instead of 2x140.
  10. No problem. It's a shame that AMD still can't get their drivers right, almost half a year after release. Fancy GUI won't help the overall poor experience...
  11. Go AMD then. Regarding the original question, its your money, and how you value it is different for different people. Personally i wouldn't buy 9900k, either wait for new intel cpus or buy AMD.
  12. Try to install older drivers, try couple of them from really old ones to the newer ones. If the problem stops, then you have your answer.
  13. If it doesn't happen when you dont move cursor, while the background in the game still changes like characters moving across[so the GPU still has to render things] then its most likely driver issue. IF the card was broken, and you didn't move a cursor, while the background changed[so card rendered things] then it should still artifact.Same for GUI which are static elements, so theoretically moving cursor[that doesn't highlight anything or press a button] should not cause any problems.
  14. Do you play at 144hz? Do you consider 60 fps bad? If you don't mind higher frames than 60 fps then 2700x/5700 xt and 1440p resolution would be good choice.
  15. Does it use lots of VRAM? Does it happen only when you move the cursor?
  16. What do you mean is it worth the investment? Are you planning to use this CPU for work? Right now its just fortune telling, since no one knows the performance of new intel cpus. For work applications more cores[10 vs 8] plus some 5% IPC improvement[its still skylake after all] i guess it might yield up to 30% more performance, but it doesn't scale that in real life, so i guess it will be 20%. Given that, it will beat the AMD rivals at the same price point [3900x]
  17. What kind of upgrade in percentage of additional performance you expect?
  18. This looks like dying GPU artifacts, but since its only one game i blame the AMD drivers. Is this particular game pushing the GPU to its limits? Both in clocks/temperature and memory usage? If so, it might be that it only appears in this game because it is precisely so demanding. But minecraft doesn't look like this kind of game tbh.
  19. I have a pyrometer at my workplace :D, nvm ive updated the post.
  20. Temperatures? VRM/Memory/Core? Edit: nvm it doesn't even boot to windows. Have you tried to boot it into safe mode, or safe mode with low resolution? It looks like the connection between the die/memory and cooler is faulty and it overheats in a minute.Make sure that not only die is covered but also memory chips[ive checked how the cooler looks, it doesn't have any element that would touch the memory modules, maybe it needs some thermal pads?]. Or you broken some SMD elements on the PCB, or maybe the fan is installed incorrectly in the header? Do cooler in any way affect the clearance of the video connectors? Maybe they are not pushing enough?
  21. Generally speaking reading manual of the PC you've just bought/built[ideally you want to know the spec of your parts BEFORE you buy them...] yourself is always recommended, especially before asking questions on the forum
  22. Pros of eink screen vs modern smartphone amoled/ips screen with high ppi[like retina level -300 ppi]?
  23. Have you cleaned and repasted it yourself? Do you place it on hard surface and dont cover intakes?
