  1. I should have done this before!! Updating the BIOS fixed the problem. Thank you!
  2. Reinstall of bios? and no i havent touched linux yet because ive never used it ?
  3. Other slot doesnt work, I am also having issues with the board reading more than 2 sata drives. It appears as though slot 3-6 are disabled/don't work yet I havent been able to figure out how to fix it. Any ideas on that one?
  4. ROG Strix B450-f for AM4, they support nvme and sata
  5. I have a custom built desktop and my mobo has 2 M.2 slots
  6. @Electronics Wizardy Here is a newegg link to the ssd from the computer: https://www.newegg.com/p/0D9-0009-004R8 but shouldnt it still work in the desktop either way?
  7. I have an M.2 SSD that I removed out of my laptop and upgraded the one in my laptop with a 512gb samsung evo. The SSD I removed I wanted to be able to use. I bought an enclosure of amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RZBTNTN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I installed the SSD into the above enclosure and the LED of the enclosure woudl turn on when plugged in, however nothing would pop up, I went to format the SSD through windows Hard Disk Partitions, and it would only come back with the error : Critical Hardware Failure. I uninstalled it and put it into my desktop without th eenclosure to see if its the enclosure, and still failure. Did i brick my SSD? any ideas on how to format it?
  8. @Jarno. Both the ssd works and the cables work. I have ruled it down to just the ports, with all other drives unplugged and the SSD I want to add plugged into Sata 3 the same problems persist. I have enable all of the ports as far as I can tell. Any other ideas?
  9. It seems like you have a decent GPU, the main games I see that will kill performance would be Witcher and COD. Potentially looking into the AMD Ryzen series, I have a Ryzen 7 1700 that i got for $250 bucks, you can find those cheaper now and the ryzen 5 series much cheaper too.
  10. Hey all, I just made an account to post here because I have never seen this issue before. My new B450-F mobo from asus wont read all 6 Sata ports. I found out it will only read Port 1&2. Here is my spec sheet and what I am trying to do: CPU: Ryzen 7 1700 overclocked to 3.8ghz with watercooling GPU: 1050ti 4gb Sata 1: Samsung 500gb 960 evo Sata 2: Hitachi 2tb hard drive I wanted to connect a second Samsung 500gb ssd into the Sata 3 slot but it wont work. Ive skimmed the BIOS and manual to no avail. I have no M.2 drives plugged in (also have a separate issue with that) Please help!!
