  1. Adam, thank you for your reply but unfortunately you have truly missed the point, a point I tried to explain in my last reply to support which sadly went ignored. In the hopes that this can at least reach someone with the ability to put a higher priority on fixing this issue and stop alienating UK buyers, I will try one more time to explain the issue here as I have been a long time follower of LTT and really believe in you, but your letting me down here big time. You state, as did LTT support, that all duty & tax fees are payable by the buyer, which is normal, I totally get that. However. I purchased goods from a Canadian supplier (you guys) and goods that were made IN Canada. This means they are subject to the "UK - Canada Trade continuity act" which means goods of ANY VALUE (not just below £135) can be imported DUTY FREE. Feel free to correct me on this but as far as I'm aware, nothing has changed in this regard. I paid VAT at checkout. Which can not be avoided and MUST be paid on all goods imported into the UK. I paid a higher shipping cost than I would normally, because I knew the goods were coming from Canada. It is what it is. However, because you either were not supposed to charge me the VAT or because you didn't communicate that correctly to UK customs, it was flagged as unpaid VAT on arrival. You say this is being looked at as quickly as possible, but respectfully this has been going on for nearly 2 years at this point. Hardly seems a priority. The courier that you used is also routing parcels through Germany, which is not that strange in its own right but they are mismanaging the imports and allowing duty to be charged as if the parcels came from Germany, NOT from Canada. So, when the parcel finally landed on my doorstep I had a bill for VAT (Already paid at checkout) DUTY (Supposed to be exempt) and the couriers charges for letting me know how much I had to pay. LTT refunded the VAT. The Duty was refunded by uk borderforce, not due to luck as you seem to think, but its because border force looked at the parcel, saw that it actually came from Canada and not Germany and refunded me accordingly. This still left me out of pocket due to the courier charges, which wouldn't have had to have been paid IF everything had gone as it was supposed to and it had been a straight forward delivery. Not to mention the hassle of emailing you, sending letters by post to uk borderforce and having to spend time digging through forums and internet posts to find out this information in the first place. I sincerely hope someone takes a serious look at this and makes it a priority to get sorted. Granted the UK is a small fish in a large pond, but none the less, its hardly fair.
  2. Final update from me. Just got a refund from border force of £41.87 so I've ended the game down £5.82 - which I can live with. LTT support never replied to my email. Very disappointing there. As good as the merch actually turned out to be, I won't be buying from them again. Shame.
  3. Found this old thread which has been extremely helpful to me when the same thing happened to me this month. Nearly £1k of lttstore stuff ordered. Got sent in 2 seperate parcels, backpack & 2 screwdrivers - straight through no charges The rest of the order however. Customs Duty £35.69 VAT £66.62 Clearance Fee £12 Now in LTT's credit, within 24 hours of me emailing them the VAT had been refunded. Which is great and all but they seem to want to wash their hands of the rest as "all import charges are down to the customer" I've just sent a rather long email to them because I think at this point they are taking the p a bit. Its been over 2 years for this VAT issue to still be a thing and the couriers are still screwing up at least a year after the OP's post. I'm totally ok with paying what needs to be paid, but paying stuff that shouldn't be paid because of someone elses mistake? Not fair. LTT need to have a serious word with their couriers to stop doing this and the store VAT thing needs to be fixed, otherwise its going to put people off from buying in the future. So i'm still down £47.69 and now I have to go through the rigmarole of filling out forms and sending it off to HRMC. Its just a pita.
  4. Hey guys, I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a fairly large purchase. Backpack/Screwdriver/Swacket etc but as we all know the tax etc is a killer. I'm going to be on holiday in Mexico next month for 2 weeks and it suddenly dawned on me that I'll be a LOT closer to Canada right? Surely I can save a fortune on shipping and taxes? Well the store estimates it to be $130 saving....which is nothing to be sniffed at. Basically £100. Assuming it doesn't get picked up by customs (which it probably will) and then I get hammered with more charges. i've seen mixed reviews on whether the charges at source are actually supposed to cover this or not. But I'm wondering is it worth the aggravation......pulling the trigger at the correct time. Wondering if it will be shipped in time. Having it delivered to my hotel and possibly not getting it passed through to me. Etc etc. Any thoughts?
  5. It's frustrating you can't report channels being hacked directly to youtube. Get on your socials people especially twitter and bombard all the staff you know. Hopefully they already know but if not.....
  6. Yep definitely have been. Hopefully they are already on the case. Few months ago they got corridor crew and now LTT. Unreal.
  7. My 3090 FE V-ram COOKS, its so frustrating. I found out when I started trying to use Quick miner in my downtime, but after I started monitoring it I realised it is running way hotter than im comfortable with. Unfortunately my options are somewhat limited. I'm scared of taking it apart while its under warranty and if I kill it, there's zero chance of getting a replacement right now. If I wanted to water cool my system, its gonna be expensive. If I decide to cough up the dough to water cool, I'm going to have to stop using my H440 - which I love, but its not cooling friendly, especially as I have 6 HDD's in it. Ugh.
  8. Yeah...jumping on this thread clearly didn't work lol - I just wanted to catch people that were actually interested in the fans. Not to worry. Cheers
  9. Slightly necro'ing this thread but wanna ask you guys - I'm also in the SL 120 fan club and will definitely be buying 2 sets of 6 when they become available. BUT, I need a single 140mm too for the back of my case and being OCD I like my fans to match, or at least be the same brand and look similar. Do Lian Li do any single fans with similar appearance and more importantly RGB style to the unifans? Or am I going to have to wait until sometime next year for them to release a 140mm unifan?
  10. Well, I can certainly attest to the quality of the water bottles at least! I've had mine a mere 2 weeks (after waiting over 2 months for delivery...stupid Covid) and tonight one of my colleagues decided to run over my bag...and my water bottle....with 12 tonne truck. It survived! Sort of? My actual point of this post though is to ask...will it still be ok to use? I've managed to pop it out a little and the inside part actually looks normal now...but the outside is still pretty bent and will that affect the insulating properties? :( I am a sad person right now... incidentally it also destroyed my £360 sat nav....but I'm more cut up about the water bottle lol
  11. I mean...there was 3 of us in my house literally spamming refresh and watched the site go from, register your interest to sold out....immediately. Then you've got guys selling on ebay for over 90k and climbing.... It drives me nuts.
  12. Yeah mines definitely running hot then....interesting. Thanks for the reply!
  13. Well yeah but I havn't found one with the same cooler as mine, so I can't really use that as a comparison? I mean I just don't know if I've installed the cooler correctly I guess, as this cpu is running hotter than my old air cooled one, I know its a higher spec and maybe runs hotter, but still, I thought the kraken would really keep it cool. Its idling at around 50* I did not know that was a thing it could do, thanks!
  14. Bit of a specific use-case I know, but having just rebuilt my machine with a brand new cpu and for the first time, a watercooled cpu I don't have any benchmark to go against, but to me, it seems like its running hotter than it should be. So just curious if anyone else has the same setup and what temps they are seeing?
