  1. I wanna wait for Zen and the high end Polaris cards but, That's Q1 of 2017 at the earliest, not sure if I want to. My graphics card is not doing too hot. One of the fans LITERALLY spun off and fell into my tower, while the other 2 are rubbing against the shroud and clicking as they do. I will never buy a sapphire product again
  2. Awesome man! That was a huge help, thanks a ton!
  3. So I'm working on a new build and it looks like it will be considerably lower TDP than my current one. Main culprits on the current system are the FX-8350 OC'd to 4.4ghz IIRC and my Sapphire Tri-x 290x OC'd to 1040gpu and 1300vram. Most calculators put my usage around 660w and recommending a PSU of around 750, I'm currently using a Corsair HX850 a very very good PSU and not even 2 years old yet. However the new build is likely to be a 6600k/6700k with a 1070. This drastically drops the usage to about 460w, seemingly keeping the PSU outside of the efficiency range. My question is as the 850 is about 1.5yrs old and I dropped about 250$ish on it is it just cheaper to keep rolling with that one in the new system or would getting a lower wattage PSU save me more in the long run? Or is it negligible? Thanks.
  4. They are exactly the same. Same item model number = same product.
  5. Most likely what I'll be gaming at yeah, debating on bumping up to 1440p but unlikely. I think you may have saved me about 300$ my good sir, thank you very much!
  6. Hmm if that's the case I might as well grab a 1070 instead since the 1080 is about 10-15% faster and if I can't utilize that w/o grabbing a 6700k I can save myself a couple hundred extra on the VGA.
  7. I'm going to wait and see how the high end polaris cards come out to make a decision but likely flagship enthusiast lvl card 1080/amd equivalent. Which leads me to my other concern of CPU bottleneck.
  8. I'm warming up to the idea of the 6600k and OCing it to 4.5ghz which seems to be rather doable.
  9. I was toying with the idea of the 6600k but, was unsure as I don't plan on replacing the new CPU for at least a couple years and figured the 6700k would future proof decently. Thoughts?
  10. I'm not in a huge rush really, I would like to upgrade as the system is starting to show it's age a bit. I do but, sadly their last few offerings were not overly impressive.
  11. As the title implies, I'm in the process of building a new PC and debating if I should grab a 6700k or wait on Zen and see how that pans out. IIRC Zen is looking to be released in 2017, depending on if that's early 2017 I can wait after Q2 tho I don't think it's worth my time. Keep in mind I'm waiting on the new polaris cards before buying a new VGA so maybe take that in to account with waiting time frame. Thanks friends!
  12. Was going to sign up for loot crate cause it seemed cool, then found out it's 30$ CAN a month. Not even remotely worth it

    Amazon.com has it for 1800$ U.S. lol
  14. Bought mine day one from NCIX, old logo is much better and I'm happy mine has it I am however underwhelmed at the keyboard due to the myriad of bugs.
  15. Bleh you got my hopes up, specify newegg.COM! Also bummer, with exchange rate the k95 is looking to be well over 200$ CAD
  16. It's less about when they started the hype train and more about them being silent. I'm fine with a delay but, they have to communicate that. You don't set a release date and then just be mute about it when that time has come, you have open lines of communication with your community and customers. If they need to delay til Sept/Oct. etc. then fine but, they should be telling us that.
  17. I have a sneaking suspicion they won't be out in August.
  18. Let's see, 29.99$ for a wired xbox 360 joystick at NCIX, orrrrr 89.99$ for this useless piece of crap........
  19. You're more than welcome to spend your money on a non backlit board but, some of us want to pay for that. You can't shit on a product just cause you don't like it.
  20. I don't understand, if anything what they are doing IS passionate. They are delaying a VERY sought after keyboard because it's not up to their standards. What else do you want from a company? To send out crap just to make money? High premium? 180$ for a Mechanical keyboard of corsairs quality plus with the new crazy ass backlighting is hardly a high premium cost. Hell if anything they could've easily charged 200$+.
  21. Was at NCIX a couple days ago and they had no idea either. Corsair is being a little sketchy about it.
