  1. B450 tomahawk max. What exactly would that pad do to cause this?
  2. So I was cleaning my pc today and while cleaning out the back I noticed these weird spots on the back of the motherboard. I think this might somehow be heat related but I don't really know. I doubt it's moisture because I wouldn't have a clue how it got there. I don't have any performance issues so I don't even know if it's a problem but I am curious to find out what it is.
  3. But how can I be bottlenecked when my cpu is at only 50%? (edit) Okay so it got weirder. Just started the same steam download again. Pc is working just fine. I'm so confused.
  4. Hi, I've been struggling with this issue for a while. When I download a game through steam or battle.net it cripples my pc but with the origin client in doesn't. I have 250gb samsung 970pro as boot drive, an older crucial 250gb I now use for games and a 3tb WD green HDD. I usually set the clients on the 970 pro and then download the game to crusial ssd. Now, at first I thought the issue might be that somehow the steam client is choking the 970pro. So I set both the client and the game itself on the crusial ssd. Same thing happens. Tried the HDD as well for good measure, same thing. And it's not like my cpu or memory are slacking either. I run a 3600x and 16gb 3200mh ram. During downloads my cpu is at 40-50%. And none of my disks seem go over 10 % usage. But now when I download from the origin client it's the opposite. Now the cpu is at 10% and the disk is at 90-100% and my pc is still working just fine. It's the weirdest thing ever so I hope somebody here might have a clue to what going on.
  5. Hi, I was wondering, if my IP adress is logged somewhere, and I start using VPN after that. Would you still be able to trace the IP adress back to me? And if so, how accurate would that be? If I look up where my current IP places me it's not that close my actual location. But would you be able to get more accurate if I now had a VPN running?
  6. Hi, so I bought a new pc a few weeks ago and have since been experiencing screen flickers every now and then. But not in steady intervals or specific moments. It mostly happens when I'm watching films/youtube or gaming. I would understand gaming can cause problems because it's at full load but not when watching content. I bought a second hand Acer Nitro VG270UP from a store I buy most of my stuff from. It was supposed to have some superficial damage but it looks brand new so I don't think anything weird happened to it. So the reason I suspect my PSU is because it's the only thing I didn't upgrade. I already had a 5 year old 650w 80+ bronze xfx psu and as far as I know it's enough for the gear I have. But is it possible that it's age and maybe the wattage is not able to keep up with the 2070? Ofc I updated all the drivers, updated windows. reinstalled all the drivers and so forth. The only thing I ''overclocked'' is setting the memory to 3200MHz, manually btw. Not with xmp.
