  1. I don't need any dns servers, it's a local network for a small lanparty with some friends. So I don't need a internet connection / hostnames and the dns servers with it. And yes multiple times on and off again.
  2. Hello everyone, I have a problem with my network interface on my pc. I want to play on a local network so I have 4 pc's on a little network with in between an unmanaged switch. All the pc's have ip adresses in the range of 192.168.0.x with a subnetmask of 255.255.255.0 . The problem is 3 of the pc's can "talk" (read ping) with each other but mine can not. I can not ping any device and I get the error : "192.168.0.1: destination host unreachable". Ping 127.0.0.1 does also work and pinging 192.168.0.1 does too. Ip adress: 192.168.0.1 and the computer I try to reach is 192.168.0.3 (the others are .2 and .5, they don't have a problem). Also I tried it with .6 but no luck (though it shouldn't matter of course). I checked my routes, they seem correct everything in the 192.168.0.0 range is directed to the 192.168.0.1 interface. Also I have cleared my arp cache and have reinstalled my driver twice. The leds on the back seem correct (one on the right top is orange which means 100mbit I guess and the other is solid greenish). I can reach the internet on a other network device. + I have to say I run windows 10 preview. I tried pinging from other devices to me, which doesn't work either. even when adding the arp entry manually it doesn not work: arp -s 192.168.0.3 XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX The last thing I tried was disabling firewall and antivirus on both pc's still no luck though. Can anyone help me please (I study networking so I should understand quite advanced stuff). Thanks in advance!
  3. Ok I managed to solve it! I think your link or the update to the fast ring of the preview builds solved it! no bsod's anymore! thanks
  4. Jup I installed them again yesterday from the official Asus site, I'm gonna try to use the software you provided! If I get a BSOD again I will repost here.
  5. Hello everyone, I'm having these annoying bsod's. Everytime I leave my pc alone for 5/10 mins it restarts (because of bsod). When I'm using it I don't get any errors and I can use it for hours. I'm having this for a while (starting on 8.1 but now I'm running a windows 10 preview build). It could be windows 10 that is still having some bugs but I think it's something else, since I had it on windows 8.1 too. Can someone help me? I have added the bluescreenviewer file. If anything else is needed please tell me! System: Sabertooth z87 MSI GTX 770 gaming edition Samsung 840 evo 250GB 8GB crucial ballistix i5-4670k (default clock) Seasonic G650 Bluescreen.txt
  6. Well that's the problem, there is no option there (see my screenshots, the old one does have the option and the new laptop only has de graphics options, not even external or multiple display settings
  7. Now they should work just fine (a little failure, adding the brackets) I have already tried this and no luck
  8. Sorry for the weird text colors, copied it from the nvidia forum and it acts weird
  9. Hello everybody, I have a HP laptop with a gt740m gpu. I really like it and it's powerfull enough (for me) for gaming etc. but i have one litte problem: when i connect my laptop to the television with an HDMI cable i get no sound. With my old laptop this worked just fine but with this one i can't manage to find the option to send my audio to the hdmi output (it doesnt show up in the hdmi configuration as shown here : http://grab.by/wXwO It's dutch but i just want to show you that a sound option isn't available like on my old laptop: http://grab.by/xg5A Also when i watch my output audio devices HDMI isn't listed (http://grab.by/wXwU). What i noticed when installing drivers is that the only thing i get is the displaydriver and no audio driver or anything else, like usual on my previous laptop(this one even listed 3D vision drivers). I hope you guys can help me out with this one. Greetings
  10. I'm looking into this monitor and it looks nice but the hell why do i need all those connections: http://www.swisspac.com.my/home/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Dell-U2414H-v.jpg
  11. well damn i thought i had a quite decent card But well ok then full hd it is about 24". I'm certainly going to look into the different options because i find i difficult to know if i will find the panel good enough. I read a lot of reviews and hear people talk about backlight bleeding, ghosting etc. but i don't know if i will see such things (thinking that i will be coming from 1366x768 )
  12. Won't the 8ms input lag be a bit to much for gaming or am i wrong here?
  13. And would you guys take IPS or something like AMVA+ or so?
  14. thanks for the reaction guys! Well and what doe you all suggest then: i would go with one good screen I think i will be happy with FHD but QHD is of course welcome
