  1. This is classic RF interference on electronic devices. The speakers going quiet is evidence that RF is getting into your devices either direct interference into device electronics (shielding issue) or indirect via RF coming in through power lead and or other in/out connections. Same goes for PC if RF is getting into the PSU circuitry this can cause it to power off as they do not respond well to strong RF interference. Where is your antenna? What power level are you transmitting at? Two easy fix options are: 1. Move antenna further from your setup (may need to be a far distance depending on power level) 2. Help prevent RF getting into devices. RF blocking ferrite chokes installed on power leads closest to device. This can be done on other leads as needed depending on the level of shielding. If this is due to direct interference only method 1. will be effective. RF can be tricky and have strange affects on electronics. We use GRN radios at work and found out that when you transmit near main switchboards that modern RCBOs and RCDs will trip. Found out hard way when inadvertently dumped a whole floor of in service office building oops! The solution to this was after discussions with engineers from radio manufacture (Motorola) and ACMA (Australian equivalent of FCC). Was to test all available RCDs, RCBOs on market and have warning about using radio transmitters in close proximity to the ones that tripped or failed to trip under fault while radio is transmitting. ie nothing was done to solve the problem. Hope this helps in some way. Perhaps someone with a background in RF engineering can further elaborate.
  2. I am with you The_Prycer, I have no desire for touchscreens on my notebook. Yes I can agree they have benefits and can be great on the odd occasion, however I would find myself endlessly clean fingerprints off my screen which would send me mad. It is getting harder to find devices without them, this is manly due to lower costs of touch screen tech and them been the current technology tend. Just like phones not having 3.5mm jacks is a trend I dislike but apparently is here to stay. Not because it better but because companies like Apple tell the general population what is the future and what is on trend. As far as touch screens if I can choose not to have it I do, if I can't and I am not paying super premium for it, oh well I just don't use it.
