Defonten reacted to Techicolors in Freesync On Nvidia GPU ?!
heres a useful video
not sure if your monitor is GSYNC compatible but the settings should still apply

Defonten got a reaction from AldiPrayogi in Freesync On Nvidia GPU ?!
I have been using the monitor for a year already. Everything suits me. The picture quality is excellent. The IPS matrix shows itself to the fullest. HDR works correctly at least in all games where it is present, it is detected without problems and can be turned on. Freesink is, you just need to connect through the Displays Port.

You can limit the game framerate using RivaTuner app (comes with MSI Afterburner).
BTW how's the monitor? I've been wanting to buy it myself prob this month. Are the HDR, freesync and picture quality good?

Freesync is an adaptive sync technology. It does not limit fps it dynamically adjusts the refresh rate of the monitor to match the fps it is getting within the range it supports to prevent tearing. Fps limiting is done in game with vsync or an fps cap option.

Freesync doesn't limit your framerate, you've got to do it another way - obvious choice is enabling V-Sync or Fast Sync, however you can also use software to do that, I believe RivaTuner Statistics Server has that feature.

Defonten reacted to The_russian in PWR Led
Most if not all motherboards have a power indicator light on them. It will turn on when you plug in the PSU, regardless of whether the computer is on or not. If your computer works as expected, there's nothing to worry about.

Yes, it should be on.
it is the indicator that the motherboard is getting proper power.
ASUS has had this on a bunch of motherboards for a number of years now.
The other LEDs (e.g. BOOT, VGA, DRAM, CPU) should only cycle through when booting / POSTing, to let the user know which step of the system check it is at.
They should turn off once the computer is booted into Windows.
If it's a little annoying, you *could* paint it over, or cover it with electrical tape, etc.

I don't think his motherboard has the diagnostic LEDs, I didn't see them in pictures and there were no references to them in the manual, so I think the only LED on the board would be the power LED.
As for covering them, I use black kapton tape which acts as a tint, so they aren't bright but I can still see if the LED is on. If you don't have any, electric tape works fine.

Defonten got a reaction from GoodBytes in Windows 10 Screensaver not starting!
The topic can be closed. The fault was the connected receiver from the GameSir T4 joystick. I just pulled the application out of the usb port and that's it. The computer started to go to sleep as expected. Thanks for the GoodBytes advice! ?

Ok, you'd have 5 fan headers + CPU header. So using two controllers might be better altogether.
