When I was researching I noticed that the b450 boards repeatedly are called budget, and I just want to know at this price point is it worth it to upgrade boards to a low end X570 or just stick with the b450
  2. I forgot to ask, I have no clue what ram timings are, should I just use the default ones or can you change it?

Also I picked the tomahawk over the gaming plus because I prefer its color scheme.
  4. So I'm buliding a Ryzen 5 3600 PC and I want to use sata so I can use it with my current build (no m.2) and my Ryzen build. I have no clue what type of ssd to get and I would love recommendations for 500gb and 1tb. Thanks so much
  5. So I was looking for a motherboard for Ryzen 5 3600 and I found the ASUS ROG Strix B450-F and I loved how it looks, but I noticed the ram on this board can only be 3200mhz and I was planning on using 3600mhz. Does this mean I can't use this ram, and if so are there any other boards that look similar, have roughly the same price, and support 32gb @ 3600mhz Thanks 1. Budget & Location $1000 US 2. Aim Destiny 2 RTX minecraft Modded minecraft (enigmatica 2) VR (not primary use) Start finding new games (preferably FPS) on Steam cause I can't play any rn 3. Monitors 1 monitor, LG ultra wide 1440x2560
  6. Do you think that I need 32gb or should I just stick with 16gb Destiny 2 RTX Minecraft Modded Minecraft Looking for new FPS games too
  7. I'm building a PC (US) with a Ryzen 5 3600 and I was wondering if this off brand ram is any good. https://www.newegg.com/oloy-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820821222?&quicklink=true
  8. Ok, is the storage you picked out good? I don't recognize the brand and I honestly don't know what specs it should have.
  9. Why is it a bad board? I would love if you could tell me if it's just expensive or if it has some performance drawback.
  10. So after all you guys said this is my new list (excluding case, I have one I can use for now) The only thing I'm concerned about it the storage cause I have basically no clue which ones are good PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor ($179.99 @ Amazon) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U9S 46.44 CFM CPU Cooler ($59.95 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard ($122.99 @ Amazon) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory ($72.98 @ Amazon) Storage: Crucial MX500 1 TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($102.18 @ B&H) Video Card: EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8 GB SC ULTRA GAMING Video Card ($382.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Corsair CX (2017) 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($59.99 @ Corsair) Total: $981.07 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-01-30 16:38 EST-0500
  11. I figured I'd make this thread to make life easier for people to give advice and feedback on your proposed system. If you add these simple answer it means we don't have to ask you all this before we can give you answers :) 1. Budget & Location $1000 2. Aim Destiny 2 RTX minecraft Modded minecraft (enigmatica 2) VR (not primary use) Start finding new games (preferably FPS) on Steam cause I can't play any rn 3. Monitors 1 monitor, LG ultra wide 1440x2560 4. Peripherals N/A I'm currently planning on buying Ryzen 5 3600 RTX 2060 (reg) Corsair 550w (already bought) G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3600 B450 GAMING PLUS MAX or STRIX B450-F GAMING CORSAIR FORCE Series MP510 960GB NVMe PCIe Gen3 x4 M.2 SSD Solid State Storage, Up to 3,480MB/s (I have an old case that I'm planning on using until I can get a new one) The first thing that I'm undecided about is the memory, I don't know if this is good, I would also like to know if there is RGB memory of the same performance and the price difference. The second thing that I'm undecided about is the motherboard, the B450 GAMING PLUS MAX was recommended by Linus, but the Strix is bundled with the CPU and I personally like its design more. The final thing is the cooler, should I just go with a noctua cooler or would a corsair water cooler be worth it if I had extra cash?
  12. I recently bought rgb fans for my system but they need an 5v rgb header but my motherboard does not have one. Is there an adapter somewhere I can use to make this work, or am I just screwed. Motherboard: MSI 760GMA-P34(FX) (MS-7641) CPU: AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad-Core Processor GPU: NVIDA GeForce GT 730 Ram: 8gb
  13. Specs of my current of (I know it's trash) Motherboard: MSI 760GMA-P34(FX) (MS-7641) CPU: AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad-Core Processor GPU: NVIDA GeForce GT 730 Ram: 8gb So my question is about how bottlenecked my GPU would be if I upgraded it to a RTX 2060 super. This is a temporary setup (1-2 years) until I can get enough money to build a new pc. The main game I want to play is Minecraft with Ray tracing. Please tell me if I can get you guys any more information to help. Thanks
