  1. Hi! I have been tasked to find a suitable gaming computer for a friend of mine, and that's proving difficult with the lack of availability of rtx 300-series gpus. But here goes, I only found a couple of prebuilt ones including the rtx 3070. It's primary uses are gaming, with games such as Escape from Tarkov, Warzone, Assassin's creed Valhalla and Control being the big ones. One to two 1440p 144Hz will be hooked up to it. Since I don't have to option to configure the specs, I am wondering what your thoughts are about the specs for these prebuilts? I am fairly new to the world of pc building, but I can still see that I maybe wouldn't have bought all of these parts separately. More specifically the CPU cooler, but moreso the PSU. But hey, what do I know. What are your thoughts on the cooler and the psu? Also about the CPUs, will it be possible to overclock them a bit with the coolers included? 2. Ok, that's just how it is. I'll make do with the setup I have for now. Thank you for the help! Oh well, I might take a look on the products you mentioned. For now I'll make do. Thanks for helping!
  3. I set the router in AP mode, disabled DHCP, and connected lan-lan between main and second router. I can now connect to the second router with no problem at all. If I then walk upstairs and connect to the primary router, it all works perfect. But then, If i walk downstairs again and try to connect to the second router, it stops at "retrieving IP address"
  4. Under Network settings -> Wireless -> WDS it says Wireless Bridge Setup: AP Mode: Access Point or Wireless bridge. It defaults as Access Point
  5. Yes and yes. I'm hopin I could seamlessly walk from floor to floor and have my phone swap over to the most convenient AP, whether it is the same SSID or not. Is there any way to do this?
  6. I realise I am an idiot - I mix up the definitions IP address and default gateway. Sorry about that, I will try and be smarter from now on. Please explain it to me in details seeing I'm like a toddler. I reset the main router to default settings, ran cmd and config /renew and got: Ethernet adapter Ethernet 2: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.0.25 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.0.138 Second router set to default: Ethernet adapter Ethernet: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.0.28 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.0.138 Logging into the first router with Default Gateway 10.0.0.138 -> DHCP Range: 10.0.0.1 - 10.0.0.137 Should I then set a static IP for second router to 10.0.0.2, turn DHCP off, gateway to 10.0.0.138? Sorry if I'm being a moron (edited away a misclick)
  7. Oh, that is just me writing down the new ip for the second router.
  8. (Not an IT guy)Hello! I tried to set up my network with a second router as an access point a couple of months ago, but gave up in the end. I have read countless guides on how to do so, but I can't get it to work properly. Therefore, I am posting here to see if anyone can help. Router name etc. Allright, here it is. I live in a house with 2 levels. The main router is on the second floor connected to the modem. My pc is on the first floor and it is connected to the main router via an ethernet cable. I have a second router by my pc in the first floor which currently is not in use. It is this one I want to set up as an access point, so I can extend the wifi. The two routers are the some model ZyXEL P8702N. Here is some info: Main router IPv4: 10.0.0.25 Default gateway: 10.0.0.138 DHCP range: 10.0.0.1 - 10.0.0.137 Second router: IPv4: 10.0.0.21 Default gateway: 10.0.0.138 New default gateway: 10.0.0.2 What I did the first time attempting this was to log into the second router and turn the DHCP off and change the IP address from 10.0.0.138 to 10.0.0.2. Then connected the access point (second router) to the main router via ethernet (Lan-Lan) to establish internet connection. I logged on to the wifi from the access point and everything works. When I then go up a floor and connect to the main router, the wifi works. But when I go down a floor and try to connect to the second router, it is unable to get an ip address. I realise this is because I turned off the DHCP for the second router, but what I don't understand is how I can get this to work. I want to be able to use the wifi upstairs when I am there, and use the wifi downstairs when I am there. Is this possible without the hassle of restarting the second router everytime I have been connected to the first router?
  9. I have updated to the last bios version, that seems to have resolved the problem. If it freezes again I will follow the instructions and make a new post with proper cry for help
  10. I have, windows still freezes shortly after booting. I see now that I have been too hasty and not read the "Read me before posting" post. I will update the BIOS to the latest later today, and update this thread accordingly. Thanks for the help so far
  11. Hi! I have recently built my first gaming pc and I was thrilled it worked flawlessly the first days of use. Now I experience crash/freeze shortly after booting into windows. My build is: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B450-E GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory Storage: Intel 660p Series 1.02 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive Video Card: MSI GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB GAMING X TRIO Video Card Case: Cooler Master MasterBox NR600 (w/o ODD) ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: NZXT E 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply I have installed windows 10 home, but not activated it yet since I first get my internet up and running in a couple of weeks (I have been at a friends house and updated all drivers etc). The computer boots just fine into BIOS without freezing/crashing. In the BIOS I set the "Ai Overclock Tuner" to D.O.C.P Standard" and chose "D.O.C.P DDR-3200 16-18-18-36--1.3 5V). Read somewhere that this is ASUS's XMP profile and tweaks the CPU speed to 3700MHz and the DRAM Frequenzy to 3200. Temperatures in the cabinet are around 40C for the cpu and about 5C lower for the gpu. Should I try to set the "DOCP to DDR4-3000 15-17-17-36-1.3 5V" and set the DRAM frequenzy to 3200 manually? I am relatively new in the community, so I am kinda unsure of what I should try out. Thanks for any help!
  12. That makes sense, ty! I only have 1 fan for the moment. Waiting on sales
  13. Hi! I am building my first pc. Do I need the gpu support bracket? Can't seem to get it to touch the board and actually support it
  14. They go with the front casefan. I have plugged it to power tho
  15. It is the fan that comes with the NR600 case. So I should just leave them?
