  1. Wow, it seems like thinkpads are either very good or there is some cult on this forum dedicated to them Kappa Can you please provide me with links to the thinkpads that have some gpu and also explain a bit the bios version thing? Meanwhile, I stumbled upon those 2 zenbooks: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Ultra-Slim-Innovative-Screenpad-UX434FL-DB77/dp/B07T1DZGKQ https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Convertible-WideView-i7-8565U-UX461FN-DH74T/dp/B07KL34BZC I really like the look of them both and I tested today a zenbook keyboard in a store and fell in love with it :) What do you think about them and also can you please link me some good thinkpad configs in the price range? (also the gpu for light gaming pls if possible).
  2. What do you think about zenbooks? And is there any big difference between LPDDR3 and DDR4 RAM in terms of performance? Also, forgot to specify the budget: 1300 USD, but can add 200$ if there is anything really worth it.
  3. Hello again, and sorry for writing another post, but I thought better and instead of a gaming notebook it would fit me better to get an ultrabook then to build a PC. So, I need an ultrabook for college and work (programming field). I also need it to be portable and have decent battery life since i will carry it a lot for college. The CPU should have at least 4 cores (I plan to run VMs on it and also have open multiple IDEs / Terminals for programming). The GPU should be ok-ish, capable to run starcraft 2 and dota 2 at medium quality, 60 fps, 1080p, (mx150 would do the job I think, but if there is an ultrabook with a 1050 which doesnt sacrifice battery and doesnt throttle it would be perfect). The screen should be good, not TN, and have good viewing angles (preferred 1080p, since 4k would drain the battery and will also be overkill) (touchscreen not needed, but its ok if its there ). The battery should last me minimum 6 hours while doing very light programming / stuff (reading emails, writing docs, watching youtube videos), I preffer a high capacity battery tho. The build quality should be solid, as little flex as possible and also to be light and preferably 14". Since I will code a lot on this laptop, the keyboard should feel good and not exhausting to press it. Also it would be awesome if the laptop would have thunderbolt port, and also HDMI (I will connect a second monitor to it at work). Also an NVME ssd would be lovely to have. Edit: Budget around 1300$ (USD), but can add 200$ if there is something really worth it. Thank you, and sorry for making another post
  4. Hello everybody! I need to choose a new laptop (more detalis here about the preferences) And now I'm thinking about either the MSI GS65 Stealth: https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GS65-Stealth-THIN-051-i7-8750H/dp/B07PHNZBDV?th=1&tag=linus21-20 Gigabyte Aero 15 Classic: https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-AERO-15-Classic-SA-F74ADW-i7-9750H/dp/B07QS8T7HM/ref=pd_cp_147_1?pd_rd_w=QlPhs&pf_rd_p=ef4dc990-a9ca-4945-ae0b-f8d549198ed6&pf_rd_r=F89XWRVRFS45Z20P8E4V&pd_rd_r=eb659539-5b26-4bfa-bd60-34537af469f5&pd_rd_wg=0WXTz&pd_rd_i=B07QS8T7HM&psc=1&refRID=F89XWRVRFS45Z20P8E4V&tag=linus21-20 I would also like to know how much more battery does a 4k display draw from the battery (the Aero has a 4k variant screen: https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-AERO-15-Classic-SA-F74ADW-i7-9750H/dp/B07T53H776/ref=pd_cp_147_1?pd_rd_w=QlPhs&pf_rd_p=ef4dc990-a9ca-4945-ae0b-f8d549198ed6&pf_rd_r=F89XWRVRFS45Z20P8E4V&pd_rd_r=eb659539-5b26-4bfa-bd60-34537af469f5&pd_rd_wg=0WXTz&pd_rd_i=B07QS8T7HM&refRID=F89XWRVRFS45Z20P8E4V&th=1&tag=linus21-20). So, which one would you advise me to get?
  5. The Aero has the advantage to be easily upgradable, compared to the msi one which seems a pain. Another question tho, is there any rog who can compete with those 2 (battery life and dimensions compared too) ?
  6. What do you think about the Aero 15 series? Saw this model, and the specs look really good for the price: https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-AERO-15-Classic-SA-F74ADW-i7-9750H/dp/B07QS8T7HM/ref=pd_cp_147_1?pd_rd_w=QlPhs&pf_rd_p=ef4dc990-a9ca-4945-ae0b-f8d549198ed6&pf_rd_r=F89XWRVRFS45Z20P8E4V&pd_rd_r=eb659539-5b26-4bfa-bd60-34537af469f5&pd_rd_wg=0WXTz&pd_rd_i=B07QS8T7HM&psc=1&refRID=F89XWRVRFS45Z20P8E4V Also the UHD @60hz variant: https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-AERO-15-Classic-SA-F74ADW-i7-9750H/dp/B07T53H776/ref=pd_cp_147_1?pd_rd_w=QlPhs&pf_rd_p=ef4dc990-a9ca-4945-ae0b-f8d549198ed6&pf_rd_r=F89XWRVRFS45Z20P8E4V&pd_rd_r=eb659539-5b26-4bfa-bd60-34537af469f5&pd_rd_wg=0WXTz&pd_rd_i=B07QS8T7HM&refRID=F89XWRVRFS45Z20P8E4V&th=1
  7. Thanks for the suggestion, but at almost the same price i found the https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GS65-Stealth-THIN-051-i7-8750H/dp/B07PHNZBDV?th=1 which has the same specs. Any suggestion on this laptop or on another one? (Also, i want the laptop to look non-gamery)
  8. Hello everyone! I want to buy a laptop (from US), to use it for programming and gaming. I also need it to be portable and have decent battery life since i will use it in college too. The CPU should have at least 4 cores (I plan to run VMs on it and also have open multiple IDEs / Terminals for programming). The GPU should be able to run games at medium at least (at about 60 fps) for the next few years (a gtx 1660 ti or rtx 2060 would be perfect). The screen should be ok, not something too wow, but not something bad either. The battery should last me about 6 hours while doing very light programming / stuff (reading emails, writing docs, watching youtube videos). As for portability, I will carry the laptop with me a lot, so if it is thin its a plus and also if the whole unit is the same size as a normal bezels 14" that would be perfect. The keyboard is another factor which should be good, preferably to not have a numpad on it. Is it possible to achieve that in a budget of 1500$ (USD) (+ ~200$ if there is something really worth of getting)? Thanks
