  1. Thanks for the comment, could you share your Park Control settings?
  2. Same here when playing Apex. Even on BIOS 300 there's throttle every minute or two, with Ryzen Controller this seems to reduce but it happens anyway. Plastic vents already removed. Don't know what else to try next, but with the new BIOS the throttle issue is significantly reduced
  3. Has anyone else tried this? Been searching the web for some references on the 300 ver. of the BIOS, but couldn't find anything. @Bobbydigital do you have the link with the BIOS changelog? Thanks for your solution btw.
  4. Seems that you have found a real solution to the throttle problem. I can't seem to find the Armoury Crate v.2.5.8, just the v2.5.7, do you have the installer or a link so i can test it out? Thanks EDIT: Found, just can't find the ThrottlingHelperXML file...
  5. Hi Bobbydigital, so it works for you to set STAPM, PPT Slow and PPT Fast on 45 and leaving everything else unchecked?
  6. Great work. Gonna try your new Ryzen Controller settings then. When you enable the max temp, is it the only applied setting? or did you keep the PPT Fast and Slow Limits?
  7. Nice. Fans on Windows profile, where on full speed though. Gonna try changing PPT Fast Limit to 15.
  8. Tried your settings today, i can confirm the temps and throttle are reduced significantly, but still happens when on heavy tasks. Tests where made on PUBG LITE with FPS uncapped. And on BIOS 208. Did you find any other tweak to apply on Ryzen Master?
  9. Any updates on this issue? Updating to the latest drivers didn't fix the issue in my case. Gonna change thermal paste next week to try Kryonaut.
  10. Nice. How did it go with the game test? Did you notice any throttle? Gonna try that soon.
  11. As you can see in the comments, repasting seems to fix the problem. Gonna try this week.
  12. The power plan i'm talking about does the same thing regarding the processor usage. It is meant to remain stuck when set at 99%. The 16gb of RAM are soldered so there is actually no RAM to be removed. Lately i've been hearing that maybe the next BIOS update with ABBA AGESA could solve this issue, which was supposed to be released late September, but as ASUS hasn't stated anything regarding this issue i would not expect much. Hopefully it is not a hardware related problem.
  13. How did it go by removing the RAM? I have the same issue and been trying many solutions (BIOS, chipset driver, armoury crate services...)without any success. Have you tried uninstalling the CPU driver as someone said on the other thread? Think i'm gonna try that next. Just in case, you can reduce the throttling by activating the ryzen balanced Power Plan, because it sets the CPU freqs to 2.3 Ghz, without boosting. Therefore, performance is thrash but stable. Let me know if you have any updates.
  14. Did you send it already? You can get the 205 BIOS by changing the number in the download link of the older ones. i.e. https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/GamingNB/GU502DU/GU502DUAS205.zip?
  15. Hi guys, i own the same laptop and i'm currently having the exact same issue resulting in huge fps drops. I'm on BIOS 208 and also tried 207 without success. Did you figure out what is causing this throttle? I've also tried reinstalling Armoury Crate stuff but the throttle persists. Currently thinking about going back to 206 BIOS, but not sure though if it is safe to keep downgrading. Here are a few articles related to see if you we can figure this together: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1859287#p1859287 https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=es&sl=pl&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.pclab.pl%2Ftopic%2F1286610-R7-3750H-throttling-spadki-FPS%2F Also there´s a best buy review adressing the issue. I've opened a ticket on ASUS assistance to notice the error. Waiting for response.
