Hey guys, I am working on a small emulation station on an old ASUS laptop. About 5 years. My question is would a thermal pad work better than paste to join the two surfaces? You can see the scuffs where they meet. I plan on cleaning the old factory paste off the cpu and reapplying. It seems pretty hard. This laptop was a complete turd from day one. Im hoping that doing this will help with the heat dissipation.Thanks for any advice.
