  1. I figured that would be the response. I may just go with the 5.
  2. What amd cpu would you recommend around $200? I have already gotten a mb that supports 2nd and 3rd gen CPUs but amazon has a Ryzen 7 2700 for $198 or should I go with a Ryzen 5 3600? any advice would be appreciated. It will be paired with an Nvidia 2060 super.
  3. Ok so I was running it on the lowered bios setting like an idiot and so I switched to the other one and did some undervolting and oc. I’m seeing more stable gpu useage and higher frame rates. No crashing so far.
  4. I have not had time to check what we talked about. On a separate forum I saw a guy that builds with Vega 64 and he said he goes with 850w because of voltage spikes. I was just wondering if anyone here had similar experience.
  5. So you think this may be more of a bios issue than a power draw issue? I will definitely try the stock bios tomorrow. What do you recommend to get the bios cleared and updated. I’m sorry if what I say is dumb I’m somewhat new to all of this.
  6. I have not tried both when I try both what should I do? Run the card on stock settings? I just don’t know what I’m looking for! also I don’t know if a shop or friend that can try it out. I am about to build a pc for my fiancé and I may give her my psu and upgrade mine just to see if that helps.
  7. I have posted several times on this forum about my graphics card getting wonderful help and opinions. I am new to the work of computers and I have done a great deal of research about my graphics card. my card is an MSI Vega 64 reference blower type card. I have been running it in games for the past few weeks and while I had issues trying to undervolt and oc at the start I finally have it stable. I have a Corsair Rm750x power supply. I also have 2 separate pcie cables but at the same time I believe that it is a single rail psu. I only use Wattman to do my adjusting and I have the settings to custom with a -20% power draw and fan curve. With this set up I am getting the stats posted below. I have read allot about undervolting and overclocking this card. But I just can’t get it stable! Do you think That I need a different power supply like an 850w? I have read that some Vega 64s draw up to 400w of power! That seems a little crazy to me. any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!
  8. The power save setting work fine and it has not crashed however temps were around 80c. I have two separate power cables at this time but my psu has only one rail. Theses are my Wattman readings while gaming.
  9. Ok so I do believe that it may be my power supply. I experience crashes when I mess with undervolting. I am getting a power kernel warning in the logs. I’m trying power save settings on gpu right now and made sure that windows power settings were on max performance. Any other thoughts?
  10. Ok so I just finished a whole casual match in rainbow without crashing. One thing I did notice however is the gpu would be in state 2 or 3 in game and then all of the sudden fan speeds would go up and it went to state 7 where it would normally crash. I could not figure out how to manually adjust ram voltage. It’s set to auto currently. I may look into that.
  11. Gaming mode was aslo on. Now it’s off.
  12. This morning I put 2 pcie cables in the system and checked the ram and while I set one profile to 3200 the other was on 3600
  13. Ok so I believe my psu came with separate pcie cables. I will install those tomorrow and try to troubleshoot some more. Unfortunately I will only be able to mess with it late night for now. Thank you for all your help and I will try to report back here.
  14. One thing to note the fan doesn’t go to 100% like some report and it makes a steady faint beeping
