  1. I am confused as to what the difference is between the Seasonic Focus GX and Focus Plus Gold. I am considering the GX but it is out of stock and the Focus Plus isn't. On the PSU Tier list, the Focus Plus Gold is listed as A- with some GPU shutdown issues. I am nervous because I am trying to replace my PSU for a more reliable unit as I suspect my current PSU is not able to feed my power-hungry GPU. Would this affect me (RX 5700 XT)? Also, on Seasonic's website, their comparison features doesn't list ANY difference between the two. I am suspicious because the Focus Plus is around 20$ cheaper. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Do you think 550W is enough for the PC? The card is clocked pretty high (1825 base, 2025 boost)
  3. Specs-- CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: XFX Radeon RX 5700 XT THICC III Ultra (Product/Model number: RX-57XT8TBD8) Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus Wifi (BIOS 1707) Storage: Intel 660p 512GB SSD, Seagate Barracuda Compute 2TB HDD PSU: EVGA 100-N1-0650-L1 (650W) Case: NZXT H510 (3 Case fans, 2 front intake, 1 rear exhaust) My PC crashes during long periods of gaming (1-2 hrs of continuous) with the screen going black (no signal), fans turning off (RGB stays on but does not move), which requires me to turn off the power supply and turning it back on again. At first I thought it was a GPU issue whether it be drivers or otherwise, and I tried these solutions: 1) Flashing newest motherboard BIOS. 2) DDU and reinstall driver 19.11.1 WITH SOFTWARE 3) DDU and reinstall driver 19.11.1 WITHOUT SOFTWARE 4) DDU and reinstall driver 19.12.1 WITH SOFTWARE 5) DDU and reinstall driver 19.12.1 WITHOUT SOFTWARE 6) DDU and reinstall driver 20.2.2 WITH SOFTWARE 7) DDU and reinstall driver 20.2.2 WITHOUT SOFTWARE 8. DDU and reinstall driver 20.4.1 WITH SOFTWARE 9) DDU and reinstall driver 20.4.1 WITHOUT SOFTWARE 10) Install newest AMD chipset drivers 11) Disabling D.O.C.P. 12) Changing PCIe version to 3.0 instead of 4.0 13) Running all games as Administrator 14) Running Unigine Heaven and AIDA64 stress tests with temp monitors (NOT OVERHEATING) In my DxDiag and MSInfo32 files right before crash, this message comes up: Fault bucket 0x1B0_DxgkrnlLiveDump:804_Status_0xC0000001_Driver_atikmpag_failed_DdiStartDevice_AMD_StartDeviceDiag_dxgkrnl!DxgCreateLiveDumpWithDriverBlob, type 0 I don't know what it means, but a technical support rep at Blizzard told me that this is what is crashing my whole PC. I also realized that my PSU is ranked E (Dangerous in many situations) on the PSU Tier List, with some forum members commenting that my PSU would be unable to feed power to my entire system. I am now wondering whether my issues stem from GPU, PSU or both. My case has a power supply shroud, but there are ventilation holes on the shroud right below my GPU that might feed hot air to my PSU (right below GPU). My GPU regularly reaches 80 degrees Celsius, and I heard that my PSU's maximum operating temp is 25 degrees C. Could PSU overheating be the problem? If it is a PSU issue, overheating or otherwise, I was going to buy the Corsair TX650M (650W, 80+ Gold, B+ on PSU Tier List) with a listed 50 degrees C max operating temp, with reviews saying that it could withstand very harsh operating conditions. Would this be a recommended PSU? Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. EDIT: Fixed the issue completely, computer doesn't crash anymore. Issue was my PSU, the GPu would trigger overvoltage protection. Changed the PSU for a better unit (Seasonic Focus GM-850) and issue is completely resolved. Moral of the story, don't cheap out on the PSU and read reviews.
  4. Thank you for the recommendation! I think I'll go with the TXm when it comes in stock. It is a lot better for not much more money. Again, thank you!
  5. I am in need of a new power supply and I saw this PSU on Newegg. It is exactly what I need: 750W, at least 80+, doesn't have to be modular, below 120$. My current power supply, the EVGA 100-N1-0650-L1 is not desirable and I was fooled by thinking that its 650W advertised power is not enough. I am not proficient enough in PSUs to check whether the CX750 (2017) is ok for my system. My Specs: Amd Ryzen 5 3600, Asus TUF GAMING X570-Plus Wifi, 16gb Team T-Force Delta RGB @ 3200 mhz CL 18, XFX Radeon RX 5700 XT THICC III Ultra, 1x Intel 660p 512gb NVMe SSD, 1x 2tb Seagate Barracuda Compute. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
  6. Yeah, did some research and you were right. My power supply isn't capable of powering my rig.... Thanks so much for the pointer on the right direction! And here I thought it was a gpu issue all along...
  7. Thanks a lot for the great recommendation!
  8. I've been having problems with my system recently and in a forum post, a user said that my power supply was not able to drive my system (EVGA 650w N1) I would love some PSU recommendations that meet some of my criteria.. 1) Below $120 USD 2) In stock right now (as of 4/15/2020) in the United States 3) Wattage above (inclusive) 650 watts 4) At least 80+ Bronze rating (don't care much about efficiency) 5) Doesn't have to be modular, strait cables are totally fine. Thank you in advance!
  9. Says my PSU is the L1 (100-N1-0650-L1). EDIT: ON EVGA's WEBSITE MY PRODUCT IS REGISTERED AS "650watt N1"
  10. It said to change the "VideoPath" to an empty folder. I found Settings_v0.ini in the Documents/Overwatch/Settings folder, but VideoPath was not in that file. Any further suggestions?
  11. I will say that I cheaped out slightly with the psu, but I didn't think that it would be faulty or bad. Can you possibly double-check for me whether my psu is actually incapable? I ruled out this option because it was a 650 watt unit with 80+ rating.
  12. My card uses 2 eight-pin pcie power cables, and my psu came with two 2+6 pins.
  13. I play Overwatch a lot, and when I play, my PC shuts off on its own, fans stop spinning, but RGB stays on (but stays static). I have to shut off power supply and turn it back on. (Problem isn't only in Overwatch) I had someone at Blizzard look at my MSInfo32 and dxdiag files and this error appeared: Fault bucket 0x1B0_DxgkrnlLiveDump:804_Status_0xC0000001_Driver_atikmpag_failed_DdiStartDevice_AMD_StartDeviceDiag_dxgkrnl!DxgCreateLiveDumpWithDriverBlob, type 0. They indicated that this was crashing my whole system. I tried: 1) Flashing newest motherboard BIOS. 2) DDU and reinstall driver 19.11.1 WITH SOFTWARE 3) DDU and reinstall driver 19.11.1 WITHOUT SOFTWARE 4) DDU and reinstall driver 19.12.1 WITH SOFTWARE 5) DDU and reinstall driver 19.12.1 WITHOUT SOFTWARE 6) DDU and reinstall driver 20.2.2 WITH SOFTWARE 7) DDU and reinstall driver 20.2.2 WITHOUT SOFTWARE DDU and reinstall driver 20.4.1 WITH SOFTWARE 9) DDU and reinstall driver 20.4.1 WITHOUT SOFTWARE 10) Install newest AMD chipset drivers 11) Disabling D.O.C.P. 12) Changing PCIe version to 3.0 instead of 4.0 13) Running all games as Administrator 14) Running Unigine Heaven and AIDA64 stress tests with temp monitors (NOT OVERHEATING) All DDU use was in Safe Mode. System specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 RAM: Team T-force Delta RGB 16GB DDR4-3200 CL18 Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming X570-PLUS WIFI Storage: 1x Intel 660p 512GB NVMe, 1x Seagate Barracuda Compute 2TB HDD GPU: XFX Radeon RX 5700 XT THICC III Ultra PSU: EVGA 100-N1-0650-L1 650W Any further help and suggestions would help greatly.
  14. Thanks for the info! I just wanted to make sure and know if I could save some hassle.
  15. I recently purchased a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition to upgrade from my AMD Wraith Stealth stock cooler. I know that the stealth mounted into the motherboard's included bracket and I was wondering whether the Hyper 212 Black Edition would be the same or whether I would have to use the included AMD Bracket. Thanks in advance.
  16. I recently found this motherboard on pcpartpicker.com for a very good price (153$ USD) and it comes with an included Intel Wifi 6 adapter (AX200 or AX201, wouldn't specify) and antennas. On AsRock's product page it states that this card is "Supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ax" but it left out 802.11ac, which I currently have at home (802.11ax upgrade later down the line). On Intel's page, however, it states that both their AX200 and AX201 wireless adapters are backwards compatible with the 802.11ac standard. To add to the confusion, I sorted X570 motherboards on pcpartpicker by wireless adapter (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, and 802.11a/b/g/n/ax were the filters I sorted by) and this motherboard came up as "802.11a/b/g/n/ax", clearly stating that the card doesn't support Wifi 5. I'm confused, and the images aren't high-res enough on AsRock's product page for me to get a serial number from the M.2 wireless adapter. If someone could shed some insight on this issue that would be tremedously helpful.
  17. I have an Asus ROG Strix SCAR III G531GV, which has bluetooth, as expected. When I tried to connect my wireless headphones to the SCAR via Bluetooth, it wouldn't connect. I went in to bluetooth settings, and it said I had to turn Bluetooth on, but there was no button for it. I Googled solutions, one of which was to run troubleshooter. I ran Windows Troubleshooter, and it said I had "no bluetooth", or my device "doesn't have bluetooth", or some other crap. I know it has bluetooth, since I have connected my headset before. So Microsoft Support told me to install drivers, so I used the Troubleshooter to scan for newer drivers. It said I had the latest drivers, so it wouldn't install. Microsoft support also said that I could delete the device in device manager, so I did. It said that after doing so, Windows would initiate an auto-install of the drivers, which it did not. Now Bluetooth isn't even in device manager anymore. I can't connect anything, and I'm just utterly confused. Is there any way I can regain bluetooth?
  18. Asus' ZenBook line has a wide range of specs to choose from, all at different price points, with other features like touchscreens, etc. for you to choose from, I'd recommend looking at those, you can have thin and light but also pretty powerful at the same time, depending on your preference.
