Hi all,
I recently bought a SAMSUNG LC27R500FHEXXP 27 inch curved monitor and when I was in the store I can see that it can run at 1440p with better graphics card using HDMI, however, if I connect my laptop over HDMI it can only run at 1080 resolution. I tried creating custom resolution in intel graphics control panel but it says I exceeded the bandwidth capacity. My laptop is a Dell Latitude 7490 and it has a type c port but I believe it is not a thunderbolt port. I was wondering if I could achieve 1440p if I connected the monitor via the type c port and adapted to hdmi?
Currently, I'm not willing to gamble buying adapter that may or may not work because I'm already broke.
Thank you guys!
