I'm already over on notebookreview haha. They say hardware flasher but I'm dubious tbh.
I can get 1695mhz core clock @ 0.775v on the curve editor which hits ~85w playing Battlefield V @ 90 FPS under 100% GPU load never going over 75 degrees (CPU turbo off to leave thermal headroom) but every now and then some particle effect like an explosion will push it over the 90w for like 1 second and kick in the power limiter (which knocks me down to 60fps, yikes) which is annoying. I'm trying to flash it 1070 to a higher TDP to mitigate this - I don't see why I couldn't get this chip to perform like a 1080 @ 1733mhz or similar.
Whats mind boggling is that this VBIOS https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/186340/asus-gtx1070mobile-8192-160713 will flash right thru with an unmodded NVFlash EVEN THOUGH its a 1BE1 BIOS and Razer is 1BA1 (10DE-1BA1-1A58-2000 specifically, can't find that exact version anywhere.) After reboot however it'll show Error 43 no matter what NVIDIA driver magic we try, and we have tried. Maybe there's some information in there that means something to you that we've missed?
I've also been able to get my card to dump 2 different VBIOS with NVFlash backup which is even more mind boggling than the above. It seems like Razer Synapse software is unmodding the files we're modding at or after startup, I've toyed with the idea of completely uninstalling it then trying the mods - flicking between the 2 profiles in Synapse changes a lot of registry key entries which is, tbh, over my head. It seems to me everything being done in Synapse might be reproducable with a mixture of BIOS mods (mines already unlocked), Throttlestop and some sort of fan control software (can't find one that works with my RB yet.)
Any thoughts? @Pendragon
