  1. No the drive was pulled from a Dell. Then used in a Msi for a while. As far as I'm concerned it still has Win 10 on it. No it was not partitioned. Nor shows up in the Windows partition app. When I get a proper adapter I was going to see if a Mac can find and wipe it.
  2. What would I do if I installed an SSD. But Windows won't find it even in partition. But BIOS finds it right away. Defective SSD? Its a old Toshiba 256GB SATA M.2 being inserted in a compatible slot.
  3. This is a idea for LTT R&D. A simple $10-$15 magnetic adapter to make the LTT screwdriver compatible with iFixit bits. The iFixit bit adapter is not magnetic on both ends and very annoying to use.
  4. You can do many things with old GPU fans. Such as a temporary replacement for another dying GPU fan or CPU fan, You can cool a RC car CPU, You can cool other electronics that have a weak or proprietary broken fan, You can cool your drink by making the old heatsink as a techie coaster. You can do a lot with a old heatsink or fan. You just gotta look for the right thing.
  5. Something I've noticed with newer 3D titles is that on some older hardware is when you enable any kind of antialiasing and look at a really fast-moving object (Like a car or swinging your gun around) there are these very slight black trails that are reminiscent of the fast-moving object. Yet when I disable any kind of antialiasing those trails go away, and everything is cleaner and fluid again. The only exception I've found is if I enable super-sampling. The games I've tested: Forza Horizon 5, WarThunder, Wolfenstein II, Enlisted, and CyberPunk 2077. What's your thoughts on this? Is it just I'm using old hardware or is this happening to other users as well? I'd like to hear more about some weird in game effects from others. Edit: I use a 144hz laptop so it couldn't be refresh rate.
  6. Edge, system, runtime broker, antimalware services and Nvidia container. any attempts to shut them down via TM results in "The operation could not be completed. if you leave it for 30 min eventually things comeback down to 16%-19%. I shouldn't have to wait half an hour to use my computer
  7. I'm not really angry about the new Windows 11 update but rather I feel limited. idle used to sit between 7% to 13% on the i5-10300H quadcore. Since the new 22H2 update the idle sits at a STAGGERING 23% to 37% and turbos up to 4.50ghz while idling causing the CPU to hit 50C. The fan curves have changed as well as GPU utilization and switching feels chaotic. Lets first talk fan curves long story short the curves are now reminiscent of the i9 MacBook Pros AKA thoroughly cooked and ready to eat. As far as the GPU goes when I fire up War Thunder I notice it takes significantly longer to auto switch to the GTX 1650. However the latest driver from Nvidia fixed this mostly. What the new drivers don't fix is the now constant frame drops by 20fps increments eventually equalizing at 15fps. on windows 10 I could crush War Thunder at 90fps avrg. I cannot confirm but my brother is having the same issues when he updated to 22H2 and he has an i7 11800H and a 3050! I am always thinking conspiracy but this just seems like a optimization F up. I really hope Microsoft fixes these issues. For people who havent updated yet do so with caution as far as I know this issue is affecting select machines and most are laptops. I feel this could also be manufacture and support at fault. So be careful and see if others with your or similar machines are having issues regardless of specs. I forgot to mention yes my thermal paste is fresh and its cryonaught.
  8. So I had just bought a turtle beach recon controller for the two buttons on the bottom it turns out that forza will not recognize the inputs when setting upshift and downshift. ive updated the firmware to the latest one. all my other games let me use them just not forza. the inputs are named P1 and P2 even my Xbox works on them. is forza just a scrapped together pos or is turtle beach to blame?
  9. I got it new for $458.98 and being its so cheap putting a $150ish 144hz+ panel on it would still be a steal for what it is
  10. Thanks I wasn't sure where to start im trying to find a 144hz sceen for this model
  11. Model EVOO EG-LP10BK CPU Intel i5 10300H Thermal grizzly kryonaught GPU Nvidia GTX 1650 Thermal grizzly kryonaught RAM 16GB BOOT Phison 256 m.2 SSD GAME DRIVE 2TB 5400 RPM SATA III HDD I am looking for replacement CMOS battery, fans, battery and speakers for when the stock ones die.
