  1. something i can comm in games with that wont sound like shrieks of the damned, also something that will help me hear in-game sounds clearly or atleast relatively clearly given the relatively small (around $50 budget i have).
  2. I'm on a relatively tight budget and these are some of the options: Rapoo VH710 Asus TUF Gaming H3 Fantech Tamago WHG01 Space Edifier G2II Eksa Starengine Pro Vertux Havana Edifier G4 Fantech Sonata MH90 If none of these are good, don't hesitate to say.
  3. found the culprit. Apparently the shop i got it from made a pretty silly mistake.
  4. msi b450 tomahawk max. Yes latest. Thermaltake J24 Versa, 3 front intake, 1 exhaust.
  5. I recently bought a Ryzen 5700x3d. With that i am using an AG400 Plus cpu cooler with dual fans. The temp at idle is around 70 and and usage even even gaming shoots it to 90, fans are running at full throttle. Is the cooler simply not upto the task or is there possibly some mistake in the installation/application of thermal paste?
  6. My main SSD is a 256GB M.2 NVME SSD, which im generally happy about but it doesn't have anywhere near the space for modern games. However, it's also the only m.2 slot I have. So my only options to expand are SATA SSDs. My first question, can SATA SSDs do similar job to NVME in terms of loading assets in-game. In Baldur's Gate 3, when i play in HDD the gpu doesn't even get utilised, and fluctuates at 60%-70% usage, contributing to stutter-fest. Would SATA SSD fulfill that role? 2nd question, if the answer to previous question is a yes, can you recommend some good 500GB-1TB SATA SSDs that has decent feature-set like DRAM cache?
  7. Hello, so are there any gigabyte/Aorus users here? I have a question. I have reward points in Aorus profile but for some reason the website isn't letting me redeem it. Here's a picture. When i try to click Redeem, it shows a cancel icon.
  8. Thanks for your answer. I checked Chaos group's gpu benchmark, they have no benchmarks for AMD GPUs, although Vray is supposed to be compatible. Unfortunately Octane and Redshift definitely aren't compatible.
  9. Recently XFX released 5700XT at great prices (cheaper than 2060S). So I’m tempted to buy it. Can you please tell me what are the disadvantages of AMD GPU vs Nvidia GPU in workstation. Which render engines will I be unable to use and will there be any performance effect on Unreal, Unity, 3Ds max, Maya, Octance, Vray, Blender etc.
  10. I agree with this. I'm not the kind that wants to wait forever. That's why I have no problem with buying other stuff. It's only the GPUs. Ideally one would wait till the console release for the sweetest deal. But I can wait 8-10 months max and keep my ancient HD 5450 as long as it can play latest titles in low-medium over 30 fps.
  11. Thanks for the response. https://www.pcgamesn.com/nvidia/confirms-substantial-samsung-7nm-graphics-card-production https://www.techradar.com/news/7nm-nvidia-gpus-could-come-in-2020-through-partnership-with-samsung https://wccftech.com/nvidias-ampere-gpu-launching-in-2020-will-be-based-on-samsungs-7nm-euv-process/ Quote from Article: "But yes, Samsung has committed to sampling 7nm silicon to its partners by the end of this year making full volume production in mid-2020 a real possibility for Nvidia’s next generation of gaming graphics cards. And if the Navi 20 GPUs and Intel’s own Xe graphics cards launching in 2020 are able to increase the competition we could be set for a Mexican stand-off in the GPU market next year. " Ofcourse this is speculation for now. But if there is a next gen Nvidia in 2020 with more efficient Ray tracing tech, I'm willing to wait another 8-10 months. HD 5450 is 1 GB with very low gpu clock and memory clock (650/500 Mhz base). As you see it's archaic.
  12. Hello there, I'm upgrading my computer this year with Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, etc. I wanted to buy the Zotac RTX 2060 as my GPU, but now I've heard Nvidia will be releasing Ampere based GPUs next year, which some speculate will improve Ray tracing at lower costs. So first question is it like Nvidia will lower their price by 10%. And secondly what stop-gap GPU should I buy now that will offer low-mid performance on 2019 games for very, very low price. Or should I keep my HD5450 for another 8-10 months till the Ampere GPUs come? If so, how much bottleneck will I get? Thanks in advance.
