Check of the cooler is properly mounted, try to reapply thernal paste. If the voltage is too high try to undervolt alittle.

You should remove the top 2/3 brackets and insert the card at an angle, the brackets on the card shouldn't prevent it from going in. Use the top slot on the mobo.

Thanks, i went and got the kit, im using the nzxt s340 and the installation was quite easy. I went from back and top outtake (stock) to back and top outtake + 2 front intake, and i did see some improvement.

Correct. Do check the connections on the gpu though, if youre using more than 1 monitor or have specific cable needs, its worth checking which ports the gpu has. If the only need is to use a single 1080p monitor as display, almost any gpu will suffice.

Iovl123 got a reaction from Letgomyleghoe in When I open my task manager in the back ground my game frames go from 144 to over 400 how do i consistently get that 400
When you dont game, your gpu can render desktop or basic apps at insane frame rates. It doesnt use aby power, Or rather have enough power to run it at insane frame rates. When you go into game the gpu actually is working, you will obviously lose frames. You cant decide how many frames you get in games, though if you get exactly 144 fps with no drops, vsync might be enable in game.

As a 1070 and 1440p owner, i can tell you that on the latest games on max settings it will struggle. I could Hit 80+ on a mix of medium and high settings, can probably Hit more as you lower the settings. Currently im using 3440x1440 and i can Hit pretty good fps when lowering the settings.
Edit: my card is oc about 110mhz core and 510mhz memory, using i7 6700.

I'm thinking about getting a new PC build and I wanted to ask you guys which graphics card should I get. I'm planning on getting a Ryzen 5 3600 as well.

I've seen some benchmarks and the RX seems to have higher FPS (not many more tbh) and I wonder if Ray Tracing is really worth it.

My PC gaming performance was perfectly fine before I decided to  watercool my PC! I did have some mishaps on the water cooling. The back port of the gpu was loose and it leaked a bit on the GPU PCB. I left it overnight and hoped it worked. I did all my tubing and finished my loop. It worked! I boot up and Run Modern Warfare. Only to experience horrendous PC performance. It wasn't like this before I water cooled! 30 frames on 2k at high settings. Temps are Fine.
    Specs:
    Asus Maximus IX Extreme
    Intel 6700k
    RTX 2070 Super Founders Edition
    Corsair Vengeance Rgb 16 gbs
    How can I fix this?

I’m planning to get a GTX 750 to for my hp with a Cupertino2. The mobo concerns me because I’ve seen other say that it doesn’t work with some of them, so I need clarification on which exact one should work with the old bios

There is huge lag spikes in Heavy Rain. Sometimes it hangs and internally resumes but video gets stuck. Tried different drivers. Some were worse than others. But nothing fixed it.
Tried removing throttling using throttlestop. That only removed some jitter. But hanging issue is there. This is less noticeable in other games.

Iovl123 got a reaction from TheSLSAMG in Should i upgrade my gpu or my cpu?
Im not currently at home, and dont remember the exact specs of my pc, pretty sure the psu is 650w bronze, the mobo is a rather cheap gigabyte one, the case is nzxt h340. regarding a budget, im not aiming to spend a certain amount to improve gaming. lets say the budget is that of a 2080 super, and the pricing in my country is a bit odd? 2080 super goes for around 900$ (2080 ti is around 1400-1500$). but all components are equally overpriced.. ordering online isnt any better thanks to pretty high VAT..

I know that higher resolution puts more load onto the gpu, and although ive always been a part of team blue, the new ryzens are just too good to pass on.
I was thinking to myself that upgrading to 2080 super before the cpu might be better, as im not going to play on 1080p now or in the future.
Depends on what the future will unfold, i might upgrade my ram after my gpu, but i if what youre saying is true, i think going with new gpu is better for now.
    Thanks to everyone who helped!
