  1. I got this notification today. It's obviously not a legitimate alert but it does seem to have come from the Google assistant application. What should my next steps be, if any? This phone is only about a month old. The only apps I've downloaded have been from legitimate stores (samsung store, Google play), with one exception. I have AdGuard, along with its sister VPN service, AdGuard VPN.
  2. I did enable the docp (xmp) and while slight I can say there was a perceiveable improvement.
  3. I've had the issue both with this option on and off, from what I've seen it was recommended to keep on but I'm keeping it off for now to see if that will help
  4. I will have to check and see, I seem to remember playing with the xmp settings and running into stability issues, but it's worth looking at. I also had a chance to check all my bios and firmwares and as far as I can tell, everything is up to date.
  5. I have done this as that was one of the suggested actions from my searches, did not solve my it in my case
  6. Okay, so quite a bit to reply to so if I miss anything, apologies. First off, while I could be wrong, I don't feel its malware. I did a full clean windows install and I guess I could have picked something up in the meantime, I have a few security redundancies in place so I don't believe that is it. I have checked the nVidia instant replay feature, record, and broadcast feature and all are off. I don't have a shield and the setting for it in GeForce experience is off as well. This is with just task manager open, while moving mouse around on desktop. I've definitely seen it higher, just hard to get a screen capture of. Highest I've ever seen it was around 40% Build List: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X ASUS B550-F ROG Strix Gaming AMD AM4 ATX G.Skill DDR4-3200 2x8 16 GB Memory ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 KO V2 Windows 10 Home BIOS was updated around a year ago when I built the system as the graphics card was not compatible w/o updating and iirc I updated once since then, I will check that tonight. The issue persists after the initial boot until restarted again. By cutting the FPS in half (and it happens across any gpu dependent game; FH5, AC: Valhalla, Far Cry...), I mean I'm going from around 80-100 average FPS to below 60, sometimes barely rendering at all (esp. in FH5, it only hits around 20 once the game loads). The fresh install was done with a bootable USB and all drives were wiped in the meantime. I will also see tonight if I can get screencaps of the game fps differences. I sometimes have to restart many times only to be able to play, so once it hits the sweet spot, I usually don't waste anymore time. Also in the process of getting these screencaps, I think I may have flubbed something with my memory. It seems I'm not running in DC mode? I'm not completely certain as I'm running on fumes atm haha
  7. Ive had this issue for sometime and have just about given up diagnosing it. Ive googled possible fixes and tried many including a clean install to no avail. Im not even sure what anyone willing to help might want to see so I will post the build and will be available for anything else that might help. I noticed the issue first in games, where sometimes my fps would be almost cut in half without having changed any settings. At first a restart would help this and Id have no issue. Now not so much. I started launching task manager so I could see what might be happening and noticed that 65% of the time, after startup even with most everything disabled, my gpu usage shoots to 30% just moving my mouse. Other times, it jumps maybe 3% and my games run fine. The process using all of the resource is client server runtime process.
  8. Asus b350f, it was in the tags
  9. Yes I got it from the Asus support page for the board. I just did a reset on Windows. The adapter still is not showing up.
  10. I am attempting to use a wired connection in place of the wireless connection. DeLand port on the back of my board is lighting up but when I go to install the driver I get an error saying that the adapter is not present. I am unable to find the adapter in device manager. Please help!
  11. I'm trying to use a wired connection instead of the wireless. When I try to install the network driver from the Asus site I get an error message saying that the adapter is not present. This is all I am seeing in device manager. Please help!
  12. I completely uninstalled VPN and am performing another network reset. If this doesn't fix it I guess my only other option is to do a windows reset which I really don't want to do (re download all games/apps/device software)
  13. I have no VPN settings to change for windows. Default gateway is not available is what I'm still getting. I'm about ready to pull out my hair
  14. Yeah I've tried all that to include disable/enable device w/wo restart, uninstall/reinstall drivers, windows network reset... I'm really at a loss
  15. I don't know if the router is the culprit; my phone is also connected, among other devices, and the PC is the only device having these issues
  16. Recently decided to jump on the VPN wagon mainly for torrenting purposes. It's not something I want active all the time because of the speed loss and it seems to break any kind of online gaming. But even with VPN off, I'm getting disconnected continuously. Like every five minutes or so. The error windows gives me is the default gateway couldn't be reached. At this point I just want my internet back. Edit: Also, I'm staying connected to the network, but now I'm getting the no internet access error
  17. they are water cooled 3gb xspc I think. Still sorta new to #pcmasterrace hah
  18. I currently have a FE GEFORCE GTX 1070 but a friend is selling 2 new in package Radeon 7970. My rig has a ryzen 5 2600. Should I stuck with the 1070, or would I get better performance with dual 79790s?
