  1. I originally noticed about 2 months ago that iCUE's dashboard stopped showing any of my equipment temps other than my H115i AIO, RAM and PSU temps (all of which are Corsair) and didn't think much of it at the time. But when I started running some stress tests the other day I saw my CPU spiking over 100°C and wondering why none of my fans were ramping up. Then during a Prime95 test the CPU hit 115° and my PC shut down due to the thermal protection. I went into the fan settings and tried to create a new fan curve and under the drop down there was NO option for CPU temp. So apparently for the last several months my fans have just been essentially running at idle and not directly controlling the temp of my CPU. I've looked online for solutions and most people have reported success in manually opening C:\Program Files\Corsair\CORSAIR iCUE 4 Software\Corsair.Service.CpuIdRemote64 , but whenever I do it nothing changes. Instead I get essentially an error (See uploaded pics) Does anyone know what could be causing this? I've tried repairing the installation, and even un-installing and re-installing iCUE and nothing has changed. Corsair said that there were issues with iCUE 3 and an expired certificate and that those issues were resolved in iCUE 4 but obviously not in my case.
  2. I feel that man! Before I built my first and current PC a few months ago, I was using a '14 Lenovo W540 i7-4800 with an Nvidia K1100M GPU. I thought I was doing ok in the beginning, but that hunk of junk would thermal throttle in a nano second with any sort of load. Even with the laptop sitting in front of a floor fan and on top of the floor vent with the A/C going I would spend a week folding just to get timed out at like 95% completion haha. 9K PPD was about all I averaged. What I could get in an entire month would take my current PC's CPU only about a day to pass and the GPU would squash it in about 30 min lol. But hey, no matter how small or how big your setup is, every single bit helps and that's all that matters!!
  3. Glad it isn't. This is my only PC and I'd like to get some gaming in and give the poor thing a break haha
  4. Back in June they released a remastered 4k C&C where they went and upscaled every part of the game, even the live action scenes. I think it's like $20 for the whole game package. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1213210/Command__Conquer_Remastered_Collection/
  5. So what are y'alls thoughts on the Big Navi reveal? Looks like the 6900XT ($999) will be competing against the RTX 3090 ($1499) The 6800XT ($649) against the RTX 3080 ($799) and the 6800($579) against the (I'm assuming) RTX 3070 ($499) Can't wait until reviewers start to get these in their hands and show us how they actually perform and a direct head to head against Nvidia's 3000 series cards
  6. Can you explain in further detail why 6 is the max? I don't really have any experience with any of this and am curious.
  7. I wanted to ask you a question, Why are there multiple RTX 2070 Supers? What causes these duplicates when all the specs seem to match up? Btw, a few months ago I finally got my 2070 super to surpass your 2060's
  8. My place keeps dropping and dropping, while my ppd has been consistent
  9. In South Carolina, my taxes last year on my 2012 GMC Yukon XL Denali were $580. But my truck had just been stolen so didn't have to pay those at least!
  10. I like the design of the feet on the 2017 or 2018 that my Mother has. The Power and One Connect cables are routed through the legs themselves and give it a much cleaner look. So if you ever do 3D print new legs, I'd suggest that feature be included. I also like being able to have the legs far apart, or bring them closer to the center. That actually saved me from either wall mounting , or buying a whole new stand in order for the legs width to fit on top. I bought a wall mount for mine over a month ago to mount it partially above the mini fridge because with the new bed desk I got, I'm unable to see the bottom 6" of the TV without sitting up at a 90° angle. And if I'm going to do that, then what the hell is the point of having this whole setup on my bed? lol
  11. Well yesterday it was 86° and 100% Humidity, don't think it would last very long at all! Yeah, love my dog but good god, the amount of hair his ass sheds on a daily is ridiculous! Could be, It's a UN65KS8500. I think It's a 2016 model. Just barely made the cut for Samsung TV's that got the Disney + App lol
  12. Yeah, I actually have it auto pause every time I have to restart the computer anyways. I might remove it but for now I'm not too worried about it. Not really an option for me.....
  13. Yeah, that's just insane. I don't know if they are rotating GPU's in and out or what. But even just the number of ones that last reported TODAY is ridiculous! And there's like 20 more pages worth of GPU's
  14. I decided a few days ago to just pause my CPU. Generates way too much heat for only getting around 300k ppd. It would normally be sitting around 85°-92° so I decided to stop torturing it for a while. Meanwhile my 2070 Super is getting me just under 3mil each day so I'm cool with that.
