Hi all, just purchased all of this, and also 6 be quiet Pure Wings 2 120mm fans. Looking at the mainboard I think I may need a fancontroller? I will also be reusing 2 SSD (SATA) and I sort of remember that my SATA cable was not suitable for one of the SSD and I had to tinker somewhat with it and bend some stuff to the side? (It's been a while, are all SATA cables the same or is there differences?

    Consider buying:
Cable ties (don't think I have any left, will have a look)
Some sort of fan controller if I need (recommendations?)
Maybe another SATA cable just in case?

Will probably have the AIO as exhaust on the side and 3 fans intake bottom and exhaust top.

I should be good to go then! I am scared and excited! Will probably watch at least 5 videos on how to install my CPU AIO cooler haha. Thanks for all the help so far!

There are quite good number of games that work natively on Linux. And then there's WINE you can use for the rest. I don't know why you mention x86. Just like Windows, Linux is backwards compabitible, at least with most popular distros.

I don't think this is a actual "Issue" per say, more just an annoyance. I hate the sounds of eating with a passion as I'm sure a good majority of people do but it doesn't take away from the quality of the content and if anything, it makes the WAN show more of a chill content experience rather than some over produced generic podcast.

https://www.protondb.com/ Search for the games you want to play and it will tell you if it works or not. Almost all online games with cheat prevention are borked.

I remember having this same issue some time back. From what I could figure out the program isn't a thing anymore, although I'm sure there is a way to get it installed and working that I am just not aware of.

Please remember I could be wrong but that is what I can remember.

Of course I am posting here from the experience of a European person, but it looks like North America and half of South America use somewhere between 100 and 127v (60Hz), while most of the rest of the world uses between 220 and 240v (50Hz). Of course with some countries are using a different standard or have multiple standards..

Pentorin got a reaction from GOTSpectrum in I do not know if my ssd is compatible
What type of SSD are you attempting to add?

If it is M.2, as long as your motherboard has a M.2 slot and it is the same key type, it will work just fine.

If it is a SATA SSD, as long as your motherboard has a SATA Data and your PSU has SATA Power free to use, it should work with no issue.

Usually you could just keep the cable, assuming they both use the standard C13 ('kettle plug') cable. Of course it could be the new PSU uses C19.. But that's quite uncommon.
But I would personally always recommend changing it out, since you know with a new cable it's a quality product made for the power supply unit you bought.
I agree entirely with your statement, but I think it's just kind of an overestimation underestimationto say 'some territories' use 240v

As far as I'm aware the cord will work regardless of what PSU you use it with.

All the cable does is give 120V into your PSU. (240v in some territories). With that said, it will still deliver the same amount of power and the PSU should be fine and will work as expected.

The cables are standard, though I always keep cables with their respective PSU just for bookkeeping.

Personally, I've never heard of a way to run programs with more instance than one unless it's just nativley supported. The only other option that I know of (I'm sure there's a way to do it that exceeds my knowledge) would be running Virtual Machines with the program you require running.

Although, I would do extensive research as I'm sure there is a method to do exactly what you want.

This is my mindset too, I still run Windows 10 on my PC due to .exe among other applications only working in Windows and not inside Manjaro like on my laptop.

In case of cortana any live linux will do. Cortana is hiding under C:\Windows\SystemApps, the folder name is full of random characters but it will contain cortana. Just delete it and its disabled until the next big update reinstall it. (Or MS makes a service that checks it every boot and restores it.) In other cases not so much, svchost is a cancer in that regard.

Why is Cortana still a thing? I get that some people can get slight use out of it but I personally have yet to find a reason to use Cortana over just manually doing the action myself.

You should check your cooling solution, a CPU should never get that hot under load. Maybe ensure that there is contact between the cooler and the CPU. You may even want to take the cooler off and put it back on.

The Low FPS is going to be from the CPU clock speed being reduced because the chip is too hot. Therefore, it will be giving "100%" under its circumstances, but it could be much higher if the temps were lower, which is what task manager is probably reading.

Also do not get a Razer it has so many issues just like all the sH*T they have.  Cosmeticalaly it might look very nice and well made but it has issues from very messed up battery life to other issues.  As Pentorin said look at some reviews of laptops in your price range and make a choice.  Most vendors are great but steer clear of Razer and what not.

If I were you I'd do extensive research on MANY different laptops. Make sure you evaluate all your options and pick what would suit you best. Watch several tech reviews of each laptop you consider to see different points of view on the product.
