Pentorin's Achievements

  1. All SATA cables are the same as far as I know, I've never had any preform differently. It's always good to have some extras lying around. A fan controller will only be required if there is not enough fan headers on your motherboard. Any other questions?
  2. After seeing Linus talk about and show Anno 1800 as a benchmarking/FPS test game, my interest got the best of me and I bought the special edition. (I only did because of the Epic Games sale currently happening.) If you have played it, I'd like to hear your opinions. Also, please let me know anything I should know before going in. Thanks!
  3. Hey all! So I've seen everywhere what steam has this fancy compatibility layer for running x86 games on linux. How good is it actually? I want to switch to linux but I would have to be able to run steam games to be able to still stream.
  4. Anyone ever play a old game called "Sim Theme Park"?

I'm attempting to install it right now but it is not a simple task on Win 10.

    1. The King of the Undead

      The King of the Undead

what does it use to download? A gamestore like steam or a .exe?

  5. Is the monitor capable of 1080p? Do you have the latest drivers for the graphics? Are you using VGA, DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort?
  6. Thank you for the knowledge, I didn't thing 240V was that widespread. Before now to my knowledge 240V was only used in the UK.
  7. I've personally never seen or used a 240V power line and I'm not very educated on where it is used. I just know of the existence of it. I will have to do some research!
  8. I remember having this same issue some time back. From what I could figure out the program isn't a thing anymore, although I'm sure there is a way to get it installed and working that I am just not aware of. Please remember I could be wrong but that is what I can remember.
  9. What type of SSD are you attempting to add? If it is M.2, as long as your motherboard has a M.2 slot and it is the same key type, it will work just fine. If it is a SATA SSD, as long as your motherboard has a SATA Data and your PSU has SATA Power free to use, it should work with no issue.
  10. As far as I'm aware the cord will work regardless of what PSU you use it with. All the cable does is give 120V into your PSU. (240v in some territories). With that said, it will still deliver the same amount of power and the PSU should be fine and will work as expected.
  11. @Opencircuit74 could not have said it better. If I were you I'd make sure your fans are running at the correct speed, check the thermal paste application and re-apply if needed.
  12. True, I just wish there was full customization in what runs, and doesn't run on my PC. Like of course you can turn it off, but as you said
