  1. Thanks! Most of the time im using my 4G internet on my phone anyway haha
  2. still got a few months till I go ahead with it, just wanna do a fair bit of research before I go diving into anything
  3. Missus and I do a bit of photography, nothing extreme but it takes her mac a little time to process some of the shots we take, ie long exposure shots etc
  4. would it be worth spending the extra $120 aud for the 3700X? The build will be for primarily 120hz 1080p gaming, photoshop, some cad work and hopefully VR soon enough
  5. thanks! although id rather just get everything from the one store aye haha, but ill check it out and see what the go is, cheers!
  6. even though its a 6 core, 6 thread? what would be a better option then? go for a ryzen chip instead?
  7. around 2k aud, at around 1900 right now but those 2 motherboards are what Im tossing up between at the moment
  8. Hey everyone, trying to figure out what mobo would be the best choice for my build going to be running an i5-9600k, 16GB DDR4, RTX2060 tossing up whether to get a wireless motherboard or buy a normal board then purchase a wireless card for it as Im running off my phone data as Australian internet is as trash as it gets here are my current options Ive been looking at! ASRock Z390 Steel Legend Motherboard Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro WiFi Motherboard Thanks!, any advice is much appreciated!
  9. You seem pretty high on the Ram usage, maybe itd worth upgrading that too? I have the same laptop but mine came with a 120GB ssd, and yea an SSD will help improve load time as well as upgrading the ram as mentioned before.
  10. Hey everyone! So Ive hit a bit of a rut when coming to choosing parts for my new PC. Quick little run down is that I am upgrading from my laptop (i7-7700hq, 16gb ddr4, 1050ti 4GB) to something a bit more beefy, and well Im planning to donate the laptop to my missus as she would love to play forza 3 with me, but her i5 mac is too overkill to the run the game ?. The laptop was fine when I had my old monitor but I find it cant really hit the 120fps mark for my new monitor on most games I have. The plan is to use it for primarily gaming, hopefully VR in the near future. Photoshop and also using some cad work as I need it for "school". I have around $2000-2200 Aud to spend, unfortunately the desktop needs to be wireless as the router is upstairs and my parents have no thoughts of changing that anytime soon, unless I run a 20m cable from upstairs to my room that is. this is what I have so far. (Located Victoria, Australia) PCCG link: New PC build The idea is to either get: MOBO OP1: Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro WiFi Motherboard - $359 MOBO OP2: ASRock Z390 Steel Legend Motherboard and buy a wireless card - $259+ Any help is much appreciated!
