  1. Also can you do a cinebench r23 run at all just want to see how my 5960x compares to Ryzen
  2. If you where in the UK I would say look at getting a fury card cause they aren't in demand at all and get close to 1070 performance and they only have 4gb of memory so no manners want them
  3. Yeah I'm so sad my 1070 died it just had to hold on for a few more months for me and I won't pay the scalps either I can't even replace my 1070 for 180 pounds which I would be happy to pay the 1070 is back at retail
  4. Hi everyone so sad to say my great 1070 has giving Up and will not screen anymore and I'm hear asking for help if anyone would be able to help me there is voltage going to the mosfets but nothing coming out so I believe one of them has died but I I've never pulled mosfets off before and wouldnt want to kill the card if the short hasn't killed the core already so what I'm asking is if anyone has any dead nvidia graphics cards that they could send me or let me buy or know a good way to fix this on my card. Sic632 I think.is the model of the mosfets so any help would be awesome, and yes I would just replace the card and sell this as is if I could get one for a good price cause this 1070 would clock to 2060 performance 2202 and 4700 memory and be stable with just the normal 1.093 volts and I can't afford to buy a new card or that right now cause everyone is insane. If anyone could be of help please reply or message
  5. Hey every wanted to share my experience doing this mod and to let any one who was wondering if the raised part on the heatsinks for these cards doesn't matter I used an old corsair 240 something and it works great So to start only done this at all cause sadly my 1070 stopped screening so due to the insane prices at the moment where I can't even get a donar board to fix my card I've had to drop down to my r9 390 which thankfully I hadn't sold yet. So the mod only reason I done it is cause my 390 is a vtx3d one which had a cooler with the loudest fans I've ever heard and was giving my ear ache and it didn't even keep it cool and running 92 degrees all the time even after a paste change so I had a look and my old Aio coolers holes to mound it's cpu bracket line up perfectly to the holes in the card and has dropped the thermals to 50 degrees in lighter games and only hitting tops 63 degrees from the quick testing I done and that's all just wanted to share my experience doing this mod as if you have a good mount it does work great
  6. Hey everyone just wondering if anyone can help Ive had to go back to using my r9 390 after my gtx 1070 gave up and won't display anymore (great card as well 2202 core 700 mem on it on stock voltage no mods required) but I can't afford a new card and in turn can't afford to replace my 1070, so here I am. What I want to know is do I need the correct block for these r9 390 cards cause I noticed that the heatsinks and water blocks the are ment for these cards have a raised center to meet the die and Im not sure if I would get away with slapping my old corsair 240m aio onto it with that having just a flat cold plate. Any information would be a great help and before anyone asks I want to do this cause the card is a furnace and is giving me ear ache cause of how fast the fans need to run to keep the thing from hitting 90 degrees all the time and I do have valid results for my 1070 as a BTW if anyone has a palit 1070 or 1080 that's dead could you message if you're in the uk
  7. Hi hoping for abit of help I bought a new board and x99 asus ws/ipmi and it has no ps/2 ports and I bought an adapter and it works with my keyboard but the adapter wont send an continues command so it isn't working in games at all is there anyway I can get the adapter to either poll fast enough so it will work in games or is there a driver to make it accept a repeated command instead off sending each key press as a new one
  8. So it's the board not knowing what to do not the cpu
  9. Hello everyone I have a fx 6300 running at 4.56ghz at 1.40 volts but when I get 4.9 stable or anything above 1.4 volts I lost performance massively why is this the case as it isn't over heating in the 50s that's it so I'm Co fused on why it's doing this
  10. Okay got you but purely interested what security issues has the 6700k
  11. Also the overlooking anyone got advice with that and so I'm getting this ryzen is better for gaming than i7 4th gen and 5th Gen what about 6700ks
  12. Okay where I am ryzen 5 3000 series is over 250 pound for the cpu time I add board and ram it's far to much for me limited to about 250 for board cpu and ram if needed also what do security stuff have to do with the 6700k
  13. Okay just why is it with what people have said why is it people hate on the 1600s for gaming and plus where I am ryzen cost more for me new or second hand and 2000 series min of 150pound for the cpu
  14. Okay but what makes it better and I've been fine 6700ks and boards for the 215 pounds as well wtf is that about the now there been a flaw in the 6700ks
  15. Also why would increasing my cpu clock speed and still be at about 50s would I lose performance on my fx 6300 I can have is stable 1.47v at 4.97ghz but 4.34ghz at 1.34ish runs way better in all situations
