  1. the performance hit isnt noticable if you actually try it out yourself you will notice that, as i said originally it was a temporary fix and it might not work for you and the example i used was Grand theft auto 5, with the ingame settings i notice that the jaggies are there with or without antialiasing on, it doesnt seem to make a difference, along with nvidia control panel it doesnt affect the in game look. The only thing that worked for me was using the nvidia inspector, obviously its not going to work for everyone and it might cause a performance hit but if you are bothered about a performance hit then you might as well just deal with the jaggies becasue as of right now, unless you can offer an alternative solution the nvidia inspector is the only thing that fixed it. I reckon if it works for GTAV then i dont see why it wont work for other games.
  2. Dude i know this isnt just aliasing but i have found as i said before A TEMPORARY FIX. A fix that wont eliminate the problem but definitely help it.
  3. yeah but everyone in this thread obviously has the problem hence why we dont NEED to post images through our phones, in game screenshots are better because you can see EXACTLY what we see. in my posts above it doesnt look much different but you can clearly see the difference between the two day time images. If you look at the image fullscreen and zoom in you can see the pole on the right in the first pic is scuffed by jaggies however in the second image there are little to no jaggies, i think the only legit fix for now is using NVIDIA inspector to fix it on a game to game basis But idk i could be wrong and it couldve just fixed my issue. Anyhow if anyone needs help with the NVIDIA Inspector or anything Hit me up on here or Discord - Doughnut#9796
  4. Lads as you can see it doesnt Entirely Fix Aliasing problems but it does heavily reduce them without giving much of a performance hit from 8x MSAA with Nvidia Inspector Tweaks to normal 8x MSAA at night. Also Dont bother with FXAA on most games, it doesnt work. SGSS is a lifesaver.
  5. Guys Ive found a temporary fix but it is on a game to game basis, as in DONT DO THIS GLOBALLY because i assume it will heavily impact the performance of your pc but you can use NVIDIA Inspector to set in game anti-aliasing values to a decent setting so the game doesnt look absolute Freckles these two pictures are from before i did it with the In game MSAA to 8x to the clearer picture having little to no jaggies with tweaked settings in NVIDIA Inspector and keeping the MSAA to 8x in game. Also This is a fix that im not sure if it works on AMD or not because i dont know what the Equivilent is for that. So, How did i do this, simple. Download NVIDIA Inspector https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/nvidia-inspector-download.html i know the website looks scuffed but its legit. open it AFTER You set the DirectX version in the game of choice to whatever you desire but for GTAV i noticed it looked MUCH MUCH better with DirectX 10.1 than with DirectX 11 and i know you lose some stuff like sweggy looking grass but that doesnt matter to me. Open the Nvidia Inspector and click the button in the image, then you get greeted with a screen that looks confusing as hell, dont worry, you'll be fine just read the settings carefully and change them to similar ones to mine and you should be Gucci, you can change what Profile it says by clicking the dropdown menu in the top left, type in the name of the game you are playing and it should show up, click it, boom you're in. Now the only settings you wanna change, Bare in mind these are My settings for GTAV and whatever settings i change i make them the same as the ones i have set in Game. I have MSAA to 8x and Anisotrophic filtering to 16x so just select them to be the same Depending on the settings in the game of your choosing. you wanna change the AntiAliasing Behavior Flags setting to NONE, the Antialiasing mode to Enhance the Application setting, the Setting to whichever you are using in game, make sure it is Multisampling, Change the Transparency Multisampling to Enabled. The Transparency Supersampling to Whatever you want but make sure it it Sparse Grid SuperSampling or SGSS for short as it is fecking beautiful. Scroll down for the last 3 settings you need to change, Anisotropic Filtering mode to User Defined / Off, and the Anisotropic Filtering setting to the one you are using in game, and Texture Filtering - Quality set it to High Quality, AND FOR THE LOVE OF DINGLES BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR GAME MAKE SURE YOU CLICK APPLY CHANGES IN THE TOP RIGHT. If you guys Need any Help Just hit me up on here or on Discord and i can try and assist you guys My discord name is Doughnut#9796 and i hope this works for some of you
  6. These Shimmering Edges and Jaggies are doing my nut in, legit, try to ignore it when playing games i love but its always there, why cant NVIDIA or AMD just investigate this shiet.
  7. Hmm. Maybe Redownloading or reinstalling DirectX 11 and 9 but i wouldnt know how to go about doing that, Or try uninstalling DX11 and 9 completely and trying a fresh install of either of the two on a new system with an old hard drive to see if it could change anything. But i have noticed that DX12 in a good chunk of my games seem to completely get rid of jaggies, however the jagged edges still appear when i am using my normal windows so idk, but its very clear when i play Division 2 and Control that DX12 works wonders, if only older games had DX12 support -.-
  8. if you get anywhere when trying to delete some of the regedit could you please keep me posted, i really think this could lead to something but idk.
  9. Alright guys. So ive been searching for an answer for this for a few weeks and i might have found something to lead us in the right direction, not entirely sure this will fix anything but on this video in the comments there is a guy by the name of American Pig-Dog who has a pretty fucking nutty idea as to fixing this, his fix is for AMD users but it isnt 100% confirmed to work, in his responses a dude says that it worked for him when he followed his tutorial, he has a GTX 1060 and he could be very well trolling but it might lead to something. He deleted the files in his class tab of his regedit then imported American Pig-Dog's Code or something like that and it fixed the problem for him. Thing is, because the dude deleted his class tab it removed drivers or something and thus was the fix. Im not very PC technical so i dont know much but posting this here may lead to something bois. Good luck lads. Also I dont actually advise that you do anything with your Registry unless you know what you are doing.
