this is what i have in mind. Gigabyte Z390 UD. its a little larger than want and more slots than ill ever use but the price is right at 109 USD

I dont see the point as i can get an i9 9900k for around 450 new and ryzen 9 is going for 650 us new. I dont do any streaming or video editing. so i see the i9 as a better all around gaming cpu. i9 works slightly harder than the ryzen 9 from what ive seen and still performs slightly better. are you telling me RGB or lack of will directly reflect the quality of VRMs on a MoBo? I think that is spot on for what im searching for. M.2, expansion pcie if im feeling rich enough later. only need 2 dimm for 16g ram. Air cooling is my goal. since water AIO is kind of a joke with their price/performance. ty for the suggestion im going to look into this. I'm seeing this MoBo only supports 8th tho

putting together a build around the i9 9900k and I cant stand RGB or flashy non functional aesthetics or over the top features like bluetooth or even wifi. any recommendations for a simple single Gpu Mobo? I'm a fan of gigabyte mobos but im not married
