    So I have a Dell Optiplex 780 (SFF) and I was wondering, if DDR3 RAM is compatible with a new CPU for in my case a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 which I have read is compatible with the motherboard the Dell Optiplex 780 but the CPU only supports DDR2 RAM even though the compatibility list says it supports it.
