  1. Got an aio and I'm debating if the way I installed it is good or not. AIO Is at the front with 2 intakes, 1 top exhaust, 1 back exhaust and 1 intake at the bottom. Is this setup good or not?
  2. One final thing. Do you think my r5 1600 will bottleneck the rx 5700 xt?
  3. Yeah agreed. Like I said, it's a bad game but hey, I kinda enjoy it. Helps having friends who are playing it as well. Anyways, I think I'm gonna go with the rx 5700 xt.
  4. Hmmmm. Really think of getting an rx 5700 xt pulse now.... it's just that I'm worried it's gonna have issues with fallout 76. Amd cards on that game don't get utilized correctly for some reason. And I'm also worried about the driver issues that I have with my 580. You don't really need rtx as well... right?
  5. My rx 580 has this weird issue where there is a 40% chance that it will black screen when I enter my user password on login. I have tried to re install the drivers but that only helps for a week or 2.
  6. How much faster? In benchmark vids, both cards push out the same fps on most of the games.
  7. Agreed. But from where I'm from,it's only 30 ish euros difference. I might get the 2060 super just because amd's drivers crash on me a lot.
  8. Oh damn, completely forgot about those... can I still use my b450m?
  9. Budget (including currency): 700 ish Euros Country: Greece Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games: Heavily modded Fallout 4, Cyberpunk (whenever that comes out), Assasin's Creed Odyssey, Rainbow Six Siege, Warzone and Fallout 76 (yes yes bad game, I still love it though) Uni programs: Matlab, NetBeans, some Unreal Engine stuff (nothing serious, only experimenting with it). Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Current parts are: Motherboard: Gigabyte ds3h b450m CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 GPU: Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ 4Gb RAM: Patriot signature line premium 2 x 8gb 2666 mhz PSU: CoolerMaster MWE 450W V2 This was supposed to be a budget pc. I built it a year ago mostly for uni workload because my laptop just couldn't handle most of the programs I needed there. And of course for some 1080p 60fps gaming. It does work pretty well but I noticed that in some games that I like, amd cards are not working well. Good example is Fallout 76. Yes it's a bad game, but hey, I enjoy it. One of the issues I have there is that there are areas where the gpu util will be at 45% but the fps will be down to 33 - 36. People with Nvidia cards, similar to the rx 580 don't have those issues so that, along with the weird issues I started having with amd drivers, made me want to upgrade to something faster. If all goes well, the upgrade will happen in a month or 2. I'm still ok with 1080p gaming but I would love to hit higher than 60 fps. So, 120 hz sounds good for now. Any suggestions?
  10. Wow... never expected you to answer here! Anyways, that's what I told him and he continues to be a bit stubborn. He says that he will have a technician test the psu and if it is good, he will assemble the pc with the same psu and the new parts. Oh well, guess I am going to watch a ryzen 5 2600 die in a few weeks.... or days.
  11. Sorry for bothering you but my friend just told me this. Don't know why he didn't do anything about it earlier. So a year ago, he had his pc checked at a local pc repair shop and the technician there told him that the mobo was faulty and that it was giving the cpu the wrong voltages or current. He didn't do anything about it though and he continued using it until today where it killed itself. Could that be it?
  12. Indeed. He had ordered new parts a week ago and he was gonna reuse the psu and the gpu because they were still ok and then suddenly this happens. He does know a good technician that can put together his new parts and probably have tools to chech the psu but how dangerous is it to plug the new mobo and cpu on that psu? I mean it might be that, it might not be that.
  13. PSU Is an aerocool kcas 750w psu. The system is about 4 to 5 years old.
  14. Indeed I can. The stuff here is old and he was getting a new mobo, ram and cpu in a few days. Guess there is another reason now to upgrade his stuff. CPU: AMD FX-8350 GPU: AMD RX 560 4gb PSU: 500w psu, don't remember the name of it. Gotta ask him again. RAM: 1 stick of ddr3 8gb ram.
  15. Title says it all. He was playing rainbow six siege and suddenly the pc powered off. And when he tried to boot the pc again, the pc wouldn't post. He tried removing the ram, trying different dimm slots, removing the gpu, the hdd, everything. The pc just won't post. What he did notice was that at the moment the pc powered off and he opened the case, there was a tiny smell of bunt stuff.... he said it didn't come from the psu though but it still might be it. So, is the problem the cpu or the psu?
