  2. Well I mean I'm not limited to MSI, I was just referring to the fact that they don't have the max variant Can you suggest any other motherboards in a similar price range ? You've been very helpful btw , thank you so much
  3. I upgraded to 3600 for the same type of ram , was only 5$ more In terms of motherboard, these are the only available ones on Amazon
  4. Okay fair enough, what motherboard and ram would you recommend ?I check stuff out and amazon is about a thousand Rand cheaper , so I technically have some money to play around with Also upgraded , I think anyway , to corsair vengeance 2x 8Gbs at 3k MHz, would that be more suitable?
  5. My old /current pc is basically second hand with the exception of the GPU ,the faulty motherboard is also second hand hence why I'm weary to buy second hand again
  6. That's good to hear actually , thank you very much for your help ?think I'm gonna with Seagate
  7. Preferably the duration of my studies and then a few years after so I can save up for a better one , so about 5-7 years ? Oh interesting , have you ever had any problems ?
  8. I do technically have the budget I'm pretty happy with it , it does what it needs to do but I'm also afraid of something happening to it in the future and then having to buy new parts anyway
  9. In terms of longevity and reliability apparently the Seagate's in general are really bad while WD is one of , if not , the best Since this PC is supposed to last a really long time which would be better in terms of overall ?

  11. I have a PC with an i7-4770 CPU and 8gb of ram but the motherboard (1150 socket )is basically broken My dilemma is do I buy a new 1150 motherboard , which is really hard to find , only one I could find was a stock standard one(R1000 /65$), which is what I had tbf. Or do I basically buy everything new again ,Ryzen 5 3600 , MSI Tomahawk B450, with crucial ballistix 16GB RAM at 2666MHZ for about R7000 (460 $) . The new stuff is a special /bundle deal so if I do change /upgrade stuff the price will increase Any advice would be appreciated
  12. I'm building a PC and I'm wondering wether I should get a WD 2tb at R5400 or a Seagate Barracuda 3tb at R7200 Would I really notice the difference in speeds ? I'm using it as a secondary storage not a primary ,mainly for uni files and game storage Any advice would be appreciated
