  1. Yes, I believe so. I'm using the Hitron CODA-4582 that comes with my Rogers internet subscription and it does support both 2.4 and 5ghz through 802.11n and 802.11ac
  2. Good afternoon everyone. I need some advices about choosing between an PCIe Wifi Adapter vs. a Wifi Extender with an ethernet connection to my PC. Assume that they both use the AC1200 band and support dual 2.4 and 5ghz, which option would be better in term of network speed, reliability and provide better signal pickup distance at 5ghz? Yes I have also considered running ethernet cable and using powerline adapter but because of the layout of my apartment and electrical socket placement positions, both of these options are not feasible for my situation. Thank you very much for your help.
  3. To be honest probably not, just the price of 80 canadian pesos for a brand new kit of rgb rams is really tempting to me haha. Thank you so much for the explanation. Thank you for the help. Really appreciate it.
  4. I see. Thank you for the clarification. Ah that's a shame. If I were to buy tht kit this is just simply going into the bios and choose 3000 in the ram speed drop down menu right?
  5. The main reason is probably because I found someone selling the 3200mhz kit for cheap on the marketplace so honestly this is a good opportunity to future-proof my machine a little bit for the years to come. Also can I ask if you have to underclock and overclock the 2 pairs to the same speed or is there a particular reason for you to do so? Thanks.
  6. Hi. I'm currently running a Ram configuration of 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 at 3000mHz and I was wondering if I can replace 2/4 modules with a pair of higher speed 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 @ 3200mHz. My main concern is even will I be able to run the 2 pairs of Ram in dual channel in 2 different speed (3000 with 3000, 3200 with 3200) since AMD doesn't support quad channel anyway. Here's my full spec list if it can help. ASRock B450M Pro4, Ryzen 7 2700x + Wraith Prism Cooler, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3000mHz, Thermaltake SMART 500W and Gigabyte G1 Gaming 1070 Rev 1.0 Thank you for your help.
  7. Hey, sorry for the slow reply. I haven't contacted them but I don't think that they will even bother sending a single USB cable as replacement, especially as I got a secondhanded unit. Do you think I should give it a shot anyway?
  8. I can't find the anything with that name in my install directory so I guess it's different between versions or card model. Thanks a lot for the help tho, really appreciate it.
  9. Yeah they don't sell that cable as replacement anywhere as far as I can see. It's a bit of a bummer. Thanks a lot for the help.
  10. Ooooh yeah I did installed RGBFusion before and have uninstalled it. Can you elaborate on how you got the LED tab back? Must be some conflict between the softwares or something like that
  11. I did used the Asrock Polychrome software to control the light of the inner fan blades but it can't control the LED ring outside. It's such a hassle to be honest
  12. Hi. I'm having a bit of trouble trying to control the LED lights on my Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8G with the XTREME Engine Utility. The LED tab on my software is not showing even after reinstalled and updated to the latest version (v1.26). Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thanks a lot for the help.
  13. Hi. I was having some issues with trying to control the lights on my AMD Wraith Prism cooler with the ASRock Polychrome Sync software (I'm using the ASRock B450M Pro4). After some digging, I finally found the correct header to connect the 4 pin RGB cable into and was able to control the LED for the blades of the cooler. However, the outer LED ring remains to be stuck on RGB cycle effect and can not be changed. After some more research, I found out that it can be controlled with the Cooler Master software by connecting the USB cable from the cooler to the motherboard's USB 2.0 header. Is there any other way to control the LED ring light without the USB cable, since I bought the cooler with the CPU secondhand and it only comes with the 4 pin RGB cable Thanks for the help
  14. Sorry for the late reply. I listened to your advice and just got an used Gigabyte 1070 G1 Gaming used from someone for 260. It's still under warranty cover until September 2020 and comes with the internal box (no color outer cover) so I'm really excited to put everything together. Thanks a lot for the advice! Yeah there's a certain risk in buying used components, but I gambled on one so hopefully it pays off. Can't wait to put it together. Thanks for the advice! I looked at the 2060 in particular but the price for those are still high, even in the secondhand market, probably because they're relatively new cards and rarely up for sale. So I took a 3 hour two-way trip to get a used 1070 for 260cad (200 usd), hopefully it will be alright. I got a 500gb Samsung PM981 (OEM 970 Evo) so hopefully it should last for a while. Games and other data will be stored on a 2TB WD Purple that I got as birthday present. It's not a fast drive by any mean (5400rpm) but at least I'll have more options once I have more budget to upgrade. Thanks a lot for the advices!
