  1. According to this site: https://noctua.at/en/nh-d15/specification it should be possible because I would be able to lift vent up to about 28 mm (so the clips still have something to catch) I guess. However I've found a thread where 2 people were claiming that heat spreaders / pipes may touch your RAM (or there is like 2mm space between them) and that's where i've started to worry.
  2. Welcome comrades, I am setting up a new build containing: - Dark Base Pro 900 rev 2 - (4 * 16) 64 GB Trident Z Neo - ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING - R9 3900X (with occacionaly OC for some more demanding calculations) - RTX 2080ti Unfortunately I have no clue what CPU cooling may fit this setup. I have read dozens of review's, forums etc but I feel like I am roaming around emptiness I want it to stay as cool as possible, therefore first call was Noctua NH-D15. However even with elevated vent it stand no chances. Same thing goes to DRP 4 and many others. I have even considered AIO's but their performance is quite poor (from the results I've found compared to air coolers). Last shot is NH-U12A. It seems to be acceptable but is there anything better around? Have you got any recommendations? Please help. Kind regards
