How does it look? If you have recommendations for anywhere I could save money, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
  2. Budget (including currency): $1000-1500 USD Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Photoshop, Lightroom, occasional gaming including: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Red Dead Redemption, GTA V, World of Warcraft, other similar AAA games and smaller indie games. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a monitor, but I'd like to get a second one that's more suitable for gaming. My current monitor is more geared towards photography editing. I have a cheap keyboard and cheap wireless mouse so any recommendations in that department would be appreciated. I would like a minimal-looking build with a focus on the color white, if possible. Thank you all!
  3. I don't think I need anything over 27" to be honest. It would be very nice, but I use the iMac 27" they have at my school and I think they're plenty big enough for now. Do you guys have any opinions on this monitor?
  4. Haha, no doubt I'll need it later on, but I'm a student right now so most of my work comes from student assignments which are usually in small batches overall. I have a 4TB external desktop hard drive currently, which should be enough for now, but I wouldn't mind adding 4-8 more if it's relatively inexpensive compared to the rest of the build.
  5. I was thinking 16GB as well, but it would be nice to have 32GB if I ever need to go heavy on layers in Photoshop or experiment with video editing. I think sRGB would be fine more most of my work. What're the advantages/disadvantages of an AMD APU? I'm based in the US. It would be great to have additional storage drives in the PC itself, but I'm not the type of photographer to require more than 6-8 TB of storage.
  6. Hey everyone, So I've never built my own PC before and have used primarily Mac OS systems for close to 10 years now, so I'm pretty out of the loop on what I need for an efficient photography workstation. I'm going to copy and paste a form from Reddit that explains what I'll be using my PC for and what I need. Hope that's okay. Thanks!
