  1. Im sure mate. It showed it with Pc turned off. Somebody on another forum said its some debug mode of the monitor. I think what it could have been is I got everything plugged in in a surge protector 4 gang extension lead and I shut pc down and unplug from wall but I never turn Monitor off. I did factory reset in Monitor's menu and that fixed it. From now on I will turn of monitor after shutting pc down using the power button and than unplug at the wall.
  2. Hi everyone I had my monitor and pc unplugged while I was out with my family earlier. When I got back and powered it up my MSI monitor was displaying a white message box in the top left corner with red writing on it. Serial Numbers and Checksum etc.... See photos... Does anyone know.... what this is???? why its displaying this message???? how to get rid of it??? Ive tried turning on and off....reseting to factory settings... changing settings... Please help!! Thanks in advance
  3. Thanks for the quick answer TofuHaroto. I'm a big fan of Japanese culture hence my channel's name on Youtube. TBH I did a teardown for the PC Im talking about. Its my wife's PC and Im gonna put it in a different PC case and I thought I might as well put in faster RAM that I had lying around. I'm gonna build it today. I work in a school as my day job here in the UK but in my free time I do some gaming and tech videos on Youtube inspired by LTT and Jayztwocents etc., its not a monetised channel. Just want feedback from ppl on how I am doing as a noob. If you got a sec please rate my work in the comments and stay tuned for the build video later today or tomorrow. Im just waiting for a delivery from Amazon for some Sleeved cable extensions...
  4. Hello fellow geeks. Hope you are all well. Should I disable DOCP before removing 3000MHZ Ram sticks and then install 3200MHZ sticks or I can just take Ram sticks out and put in 3200MHZ and change settings in BIOS before booting up? I already removed the sticks without disabling DOCP Profile (XMP) so I'm really asking is it ok to just put 3200MHZ sticks or should I put slower ones back in and change to default Ram speed profile ( Non overclocked)...?? Now this is for a different rig, not mine. ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F Ryzen 5 2600 with stock wraith stealth cooler 16gb (2 X 8GB) Corsair Vengeance 3000MHZ DDR4 Looking to swap ram sticks to 16GB (2x 8GB) Crucial Ballistix 3200MHZ
  5. Hi Guys I got Phanteks P400a Digital arriving today as you can see on photo below. Now it comes with 3 RGB front intake fans but no exchausts. I have 2 Noctua NF-S12B redux-1200 PWM (1200rpm) Airflow fans. Can I have suggestions on how to set up the fans please? Should I leave the included rgb front fans as they are and add the 2 Noctua's as exhaust in back and top or should swap one of the noctua's with a front fans so I have better intake and put one rgb as an exhaust fan? or Get rid of the RGB fans and just use the noctuas as one intake and one exhaust?
  6. I ended up stretching the budget and getting the phanteks p400a. I have 2 Noctua airflow fans ( NF-S12B 1200rpm Model) on the way. I am thinking of moving the middle rgb fan from the front to make an exhaust fan (probably top ) and put on noctua fan in the middle and the other as another exhaust fan. Do you think that's a good idea or should I just mount both noctua fans as exhaust fans or some other way? https://www.awd-it.co.uk/phanteks-eclipse-p400a-tempered-glass-windowed-drgb-mesh-midi-tower-atx-gaming-case-black.html?utm_source=bybuybye&utm_medium=css&utm_campaign=nmpi&utm_term=generic&utm_content=generic&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5aj9_tPY6QIVwrHtCh3RMwXmEAQYBSABEgKyEvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&wgu=13527_1295665_15907410001154_4ab81681b1&wgexpiry=1598517000&source=webgains&siteid=1295665
  7. Hey guys I'm in UK and I was looking for a budget case that has a mesh front panel and Hinged side tempered glass. It has all of these for a very reasonable price at £37. What I don't get is Why is it so rare and not that popular considering on paper it seems so good. My only issue is with the front USB 2.0 connectors but apart from that it's fine. I could not find any reviews on Youtube. Noone has covered it.. Does anyone know the deal with this case? Anyone heard of it? Is CiT a good brand? Is it the real deal? Better alternative suggestions? https://www.cclonline.com/product/296611/C100MESH/Cases/CiT-C100-Mid-Tower-E-ATX-Case-with-Tempered-Glass-Side-Mesh-Front/CAS3755/ more photos on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/CiT-Mid-Tower-Airflow-Performance-Tempered/dp/B07X8QHL1B/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
  8. Damn. Its first post and its been getting devices ready for ages. It was 3% for 5 mins and 6% for last 10 mins... Is this supposed to take this long to ulgo into bios? Sorry guys again Im an idiot. Mash delete button at first post..... Win 10 installed, activated alls good.
  9. Guys I know that I will have to reinstall windows, but regarding that. My current OS Drive the "500"GB NVME (450GB RAW STORAGE) is partitioned off to C-DRIVE 100GB D-DRIVE 350GB 100GB Partition is OS Drive. With new Motherboard and CPU configuration will the partition remain or will I have to consider backing up my "D DRIVE" partition as well?
  10. I'm scared before a major upgrade to my rig. I am upgrading my Motherboard and CPU as well so I don't have to remove CPU from the motherboard. I will be installing Ryzen 5 3600 into my new Motherboard ASUS X570-P (both in transit to me via express shipping). I also am replacing the CX550M semi modular PSU to TX650M Semi modular PSU. So my jobs will include. 1. Removing GPU, RAM Sticks,Cables and PSU, M.2 Drives from old motherboard 2. Removing Motherboard, CPU and cooler (Stock Wraith Stealth)configuration I am passing it on with CPU and cooler installed 3. Installing CPU, RAM, M.2 Drives into New Motherboard 4. Installing NEW PSU into case, routing cables, installing I/O Shield of new motherboard 5. Installing Motherboard into case.plug in all cables. Anything I am doing wrong, should I change the order of something?
  11. I initially had 16gb kit of 4GB DDR4 Rams sticks x4 with 2666MHZ speed but as you can see I upgraded to a 16GB kit pair of 8GB sticks with 3200MHZ Speed as I heard the Next gen ryzen CPUs will run better with higher speed. Since changing ram sticks I have been getting worst scores on the Valley benchmark compared to ones before I thought I swapped the results. Is it true that Ryzen 2600 is optimised for the 2666MHZ memory speeds? Either way the Ryzen 3600 is on the way from AMAZON UK. I got it at a discount price of £152. It arrives on Saturday so I will let you guys know here if there is any improvement and I will also compare the Benchmark Results. By the Way my Bios is on the latest update. I was tweaking settings in the BIOS and somehow I learned my it was not fully up to date so I downloaded the latest one on USB flashed it. Later on I learned I risked bricking my Motherboard for no reason but at least now I don't need to. It's on Dec 2019 update so should definitely support Ryzen 3600.
  12. The Framerate is 55-63 fps fluctuating in graphics settings Low to Ultra presets. Also I tried tweaking settings antialiasing but no change. In unlocked framerate vsync of. Its like the framerate is not directly link to graphics settings or resolution but is totally unrelated. Is anyone aware of this???
  13. Hey guys. I've ordered the MSI AG32CQ Monitor and is on the way to me. The Reviews are good but is anyone aware of any real tests done in a lab? I heard there are some people who carry out these tests. If you aren't I would be keen to here opinions of wether it's a good choice or not. I got it for £340. Thanks Guys
  14. Reviews on NEWEGG and AMAZON were good overall. At least this monitor was covered by a youtuber
  15. I ended up taking your advice and I have already arranged a return for the LG model. However I ended up going with a different brand 32inch screen that supports Freesync that I found way under priced on Special offer the MSI optics AG32CQ 32" 1440p Monitor at £340. Usually I understand its over 400. Features a 32inch curved screen, 1440p 144hz with 1ms response time. Oh and it supports Freesync as I have 5700 XT that's handy... Thoughts? https://www.msi.com/Monitor/Optix-AG32CQ
  16. The problem is reviewers give mixed messages and sometimes they are biased because they are being paid to promote a product which you cannot blame them for but it's misleading for the consumer. PS. Have you guys noticed my cool signature?
  17. I think I will go for this. This is on offer in a retailer near me. I could not find the LG one
  18. https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/pc-monitors/pc-monitors/lg-27ul500-w-4k-ultra-hd-27-ips-lcd-gaming-monitor-white-10204176-pdt.html This monitor is on the way to me scheduled to arrive tomorrow. So leave the HDR off but is it gonna have really bad motion blur at 60Hz? Im a bit worried...Maybe I should go with 1440p 144hz... But I also went wit this one because it's IPS screen... That's a good thing right?
  19. I know now. I think Newegg's psu calculator is good. But it's AMD. They put on my GPU's box Min PSU 600W. But even on SCAN's website in Product Specs it says it. (In case you are not familiar: Scan is the UK equivalent Micro Center in USA Big well established PC store...)
  20. That's already taken care of. In retrospect I learned I took a big risk flashing my bios for no reason but I was updating my system drivers sound, as I got a shiny XLR mic etc. so it's on the Dec 2019 BIOS UPDATE im an idiot but it worked out. Fortunately I didn't end up bricking my Motherboard. I just followed instructions prepared a usb booted into bios selected options and Bob's your uncle.
  21. I'm in the UK. This LG 4K 27inch monitor sports an IPS screen with HDR 10 (entry level HDR), 60HZ at only £269. I know the currency has different value but with VAT here it works out same. It probably goes for about $269 in North America. Thoughts? https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/pc-monitors/pc-monitors/lg-27ul500-w-4k-ultra-hd-27-ips-lcd-gaming-monitor-white-10204176-pdt.html At different store I found a slightly newer model at a whopping £329. I dont see an extra feature that justifies extra £60 https://www.ebuyer.com/883253-lg-27ul550-27-ultra-hd-4k-monitor-with-hdr-27ul550-b
  22. Thanks dude. I can tell you are very knowledgeable in the subject. So even if I don't change PSU, am I okay to go ahead and swap out Ryzen 5 2600 for 3600? I recently got the 3200MHZ Ram sticks so now they should work even better with Ryzen 3600.
  23. Hey guys I currently have an ASUS 144hz 1080p gaming monitor and considering upgrade to larger screen but Im not sure if I should aim at a higher resolution 1440p/4k screen over a high refresh rate 144hz one? 1 with both costs too much. I dont play cs go nor fortnite. I play games like Witcher 3, Assassins Creed Odyssey, Devil May cry 5 and Sekiro. Will It make more sense running games like those in Higher framerate where available or locked 60/75 (freesync) with higher res and max/ultra settings? Is 144fps mostly for shooters or Running benchmarks?
  24. My new GPU (GIGABYTE 5700 XT GAMING OC) manual says I need 600w minimum. Even if my PSU is strong enough for it. If it breaks, warranty cover might be void as I was using it against the manufacturer instructions. Also when I used a PSU calculator as recommended by LINUS as well before buying a PSU. After I entered my specs below it recommended a 750W PSU.
