Budget (including currency): $300-500 Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming Other details I currently have a i7 4790k, 16gb DDR3 ram, and a gtx 1650. My motherboard is a asus H81I-PLUS but it’s basically trash. I’m looking to increase performance hopefully just by upgrading my motherboard and maybe my ram.. I can play all games well and can even get a steady 30fps on high graphics on Cyberpunk 2077.

(Okay I put the old cpu in and am using it currently) I definitely updated it right and checked multiple times of that. I updated it to the newest version (2305) as seen in the picture. Ill try flashing right now. The seller asked me if my motherboard was (OEM)? He said if its a asus prebuilt it might not work but it wasn't, my pc was a old origin chronos build back in like 2013-14 but if you know of a way of checking if its OEM or not I'll try that..

Hello and thank you for reading as I could REALLY use some help right now... so I just got a Intel i7-4790k cpu and I put it into my current pc switching out my old i5-4430. When I started the pc up, everything turned on in the computer, but neither my monitor or my mouse and keyboard detected my pc. I made sure to update the bios before installing the cpu and definitely installed it right even with some new thermal paste. After waiting a few minutes I swapped the cpu back to my 4430 and it booted and worked instantly. My motherboard is the H81I-Plus and it says the 4790k is compatible so i’m not too sure what the issue could be besides something to do with the cpu.. Oh and I also tried clearing the CMOS to reset my BIOS and that didn’t work either.. ANY ATTEMPT AT HELPING WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED as I am pretty much all out of juice at this point..

Ok thanks! Also, what do you ,mean change the motherboard memory? Like switch from DDR3 to DDR4?

So I've been NEEDING a new CPU for forever now, and im not too well read up on pc parts myself. So hopefully someone here can help me find SOMETHING I can replace this terrible 4430 with that I can actually game decently on. Anything will help, I've been researching forever and I still cant seem to find something definitive to settle on. Thx!!
