  1. I will probably get a 3070/3080, pairing that with a 3700X or 3900 (or maybe 4xxx series when they launch). I have basically these options (prices are in USD, converted from HUF): - BQ Straight Power 11 750W Gold: $152, 5 years warranty - Corsair RM850X (2018): $164, 10 years warranty - Fractal Design ION+ 760W: $152, 10 years warranty - Seasonic Focus GX-850: $156, 10 years warranty I will probably cancel my order for the SS GX-650, which was $119/10 years warranty, as it will not be enough for 3070/3080. Leaning towards the RM850X, but also read that BQ almost reached platinum efficiency, please help me choosing a good PSU! Thanks!
  2. Hello, I will be building a 3900X/RTX2080 based system soon, and I would like to choose a good PSU for my build: Here are some ones that I found (in Hungary): Bitfenix Whisper M 850W Gold BP-WG850UMAG-9FM 5 yrs 38250 HUF $128.4 Super Flower LEADEX III RGB 650W SF-650F14RG 5 yrs 39500 HUF $132.6 be quiet! Straight Power 11 650W Gold BN282 3-5 yrs depending on shop 42500 HUF $142.6 Seasonic Focus PX-650 Platinum 5-10 yrs depending on shop 44500 HUF $149.3 Corsair RM750x Gold CP-9020179-EU 5-10 yrs depending on shop 44990 HUF $151 Corsair RM850i Gold CP-9020083-NA 5-10 yrs depending on shop 45500 HUF $152.7 Corsair RM1000x Gold CP-9020094-EU 5-10 yrs depending on shop 51500 HUF $172.8 Out of these, which one(s) would be the best option? Any other recommendations? Will the RM850i work (hence the NA tag at the end)? To be honest, I am leaning towards the Seasonic (as I had a SS12G with NO issues for 6 years), or the be Quiet (it looks cool, I had one in the past which was silent af). Requirements are basically silent operation, and long cables (Enthoo Pro is 535mm / 21.1in tall, so the EPS cable should be long enough). Thanks a lot!
  3. Quick question: why is the Straight Power 11 Gold is colored in the list as a better PSU, than the Platinum one?
  4. Thanks for the suggestions. Can the 400W PSU cause the issue?
  5. Sorry could not make screenshots, GPU is at 65-70% utilization with 63°C, CPU is at 25-30% utilization at 60°C.
  6. I do not have access to the PC right now, I will in about 2-3 hours, I will make some screenshots.
  7. Chipset drivers and GPU drivers are up-to-date, I can try and uninstall GPU drivers, but I did it before, and it did not solve the issue.
  8. So my brother has this PC: - MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX - Ryzen 3700X (with stock cooler) - G.SKILL Aegis 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz - MSI RTX2070 Gaming Z - 2x3TB Toshiba P300, 1TB Seagate Barracuda, Adata 128GB SSD (games are separately installed on one 3TB drive) - Be Quiet Pure Power 10 400W (BN272) - Freshly installed Win10 Pro - A 1080p monitor (Displayport - DVI adapter) He has the following issue: In many games he is not getting a comfortable amount of fps, for example in GTA V he only gets around 36-38 fps (screenshot here), and this is not even on ultra settings. In Rocket League he does not ever have 250fps (maximum in the game), and this is on Unreal Engine 3 on 1080p and not even on the highest settings as well. My way weaker system with 8600k + 1660Ti gets 100fps+ on GTA V with the same settings, and stable 250fps in Rocket League. Now the strange part is the CPU and GPU usage. CPU usage is always between 40-60%, while GPU usage is 30% maximum. Temps are perfectly fine. This system should not have much problem hitting 50-60 fps on 1440p medium-high settings, that’s why I’m really confused and asking for some help. What could be the root cause of his issue? Any advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
  9. I will disable them. Windows power plan is set to High Performance, but I haven't messed with c-states yet.
  10. Yeah, DDU was used (previous card was RX580) and of course, I'm plugged into the GPU. Temps are okay, but I suspect something is not right, as it is 36-38°C under GTA V ultra, which seems kinda weird.
  11. I will do it later as I'm not at home at the moment. But I dropped the GPU to 70% power level yesterday, CPU got slightly more voltage (0.9 - 0.92V) but the fps stayed the same. 2070 is because he wanted it to be as futureproof as possible, maybe he will switch to Ryzen and 1440p.
  12. So my brother has the following components in his PC: - Gigabyte GA-B250M-D3H - i7-6700 - 24GB RAM (2x4GB (two sticks) + 16GB (one stick)) - MSI RTX2070 Gaming Z - 2x3TB Toshiba P300, 1TB Seagate Barracuda, Adata 128GB SSD (games are separately installed on one of the 3TB drives) - Be Quiet Pure Power 10 400W (BN272) - Freshly installed Win10 Pro - A 1080p monitor (Displayport - DVI adapter) He has the following issue: In many games he is not getting a comfortable amount of fps, for example in GTA V he is getting 35-40 fps, regardless the graphical settings he is using. There is the same amount of fps on the lowest setting, as on the highest one with all the antialiasing etc. enabled. In Rocket League he does not ever have 250fps (maximum in the game). Now the strange part is the CPU and GPU usage. CPU usage is always between 40-60%, while GPU usage is 30% maximum, regardless of the graphical intensity - so even on the lowest setting, or even on ultra. I suspect the PSU is not enough for the whole system, here is why: What I noticed is that the CPU only clocks to 1.8GHz, and only gets 0.85V of voltage. No matter how long the game is open, the clockspeed just stays the same. In AIDA64, a stresstest can bump it up to 3.7GHz with 100% usage. Temps are perfectly fine, but I think the monitoring softwares are reporting a false information: CPU is only 36°C under GTA V ultra, could that be because of the low voltage? I will try with another PSU, maybe that can be the problem. Any advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks! (sorry if wrong category, please move if needed)
  13. I have decided to buy a new PSU, as my old PSU is almost 5 years old and I can use it in a secondary build. Here in Hungary, these 9 models are what I will be choosing from, but I need help to determine the best one. (PC is a soon-to-be-OCd 8600K and GTX1660Ti) Corsair RM550x (10 years warranty) $114/€102 Corsair RM650x (10 years warranty) $117/€104 be quiet! Straight Power 11 550W (1 year warranty) $122/€109 be quiet! Straight Power 11 650W (5 years warranty) $125/€111 Seasonic Prime Ultra 550W Gold (12 years warranty) $129/€115 Corsair RM750x (10 years warranty) $130/€116 Corsair RM1000x (2 years warranty) $137/€122 (probably a pricing error, but 2 years warranty is kinda sad) FSP Hydro PTM 650W (10 years warranty) $143/€128 Seasonic Prime Ultra 550W Platinum (12 years warranty) $144/€128 Honestly I have some concerns regading CWT in the Corsair units, Seasonic seems like much higher quality than CWT. I hope some of you can clarify this and help me find the best PSU. Does the Prime Ultra worth the extra bucks? Does Platinum efficiency matter in a long term? Thanks a lot!
  14. Köszi a választ! Illetve ahogy fentebb is írtam, SS Prime Ultra Gold/Platinum (besorolás nem tudom mennyit számít anyagilag hosszútávon) 550-es, Alzánál 12 év garit adnak. A 650-es RMX is kiszemelt, 34k-ért.
