  1. @SpaceGhostC2C I just checked and i missread. The 2x8 does, the 4x8 like i have doesnt appear to have my motherboard on the qvl list, that explain a lot. I can still return the kits within 15 days, i just got them. thats why i took 3 kits to try out wich work the best. Will probably follow @Intelfreak advise, thanks
  2. Hello, i'm on a x570 aorus master with ryzen 3700x, and i bough some ram kits to test wich goes faster. I've got a 3800mhz cl14 kit G.Skill Trident Z Neo 4x8 32 gb, but the xmp profile doesnt load. I tried to do the timings and frequency manualy, even 3733 mhz, not booting. The 3600mhz cl14 XMP work. The 3800mhz is on the QVL of my motherboard and is supposed to be tested and compatible to achieve that speed, why it's not working for me ? Can't go higher than 3600mhz. Tried to OC the 3600mhz one to 3733 but same.
  3. The lower isnt it better ? There is another kit at 3600 mhz CL14 15 15 35 at 1.45 volt. It will allow me more headroom for manual overclock no ? After saw that video from LTT on youtube i understood that the best choice for ryzen is stick to a 3600 low latency and then work on that
  4. Hello, i just ordered this G.Skill Trident Z Neo 4x8 go 3800mhz CL14 16 16 36 1.5 volt, and i'm afraid it's not the best because 1.5 volt. I would have taken the 3600 mhz cl14 15 15 35 1.4 volt, but it was out of stock. This is for an aorus x570 master motherboard, for an ryzen 3700x. Is that ram pretty good or not because the high voltage ?
  5. Ok, and what about the cable distance ? Does it decrease quality if i take a 3 metter instead of 2 for exemple ?
  6. Hello, i'm about to purchase a new headset. What i need : Wireless so i can watch movies from my bed But good microphone quality, and we all know that this doesnt exist on wireless mostly. My question is, if i buy a wireless headset, can i just plug the cable included with it when i'm gaming and need decent mic quality or it doesnt work like this and i'm forced to buy wire headset for the best quality possible ? I would buy a wireless and then buy a separate microphone but thats expensive. Thanks for your help
  7. Hello, since the beginning i've been setting my ram profile to XMP. I have 4x8gb 3200Mhz CL16-18-18-38 1.35v. Trident Z RGB. (Product : F4-3200C16Q-32GTZR) But now that i have a ryzen 3700x and updated my bios, i wanted to see how far i can go with it (and still being stable) My motherboard is a x470 Aorus Ultra Gaming, on the technical page it says that the max ram is 3200mhz, but i dont think its true, i saw some people reaching more on this board on YouTube. I tried manualy set the frequency to a bit higher like 3400mhz, but computer wont start, so i'm missing Something. If someone could help me to overclock it, frequency or latency or both, that would be nice. Here is some pictures of my BIOS for memory (and i dont understand most of settings). There is some new settings since i updated bios for 3rd gen ryzen.
  8. Lol ^^ 1080p 144 hz off course :) I think i fixed my problem i reinstalled Windows and everything and turn off SMT mode and it seems to work fine in games, i see the boost properly now.
  9. GPU mhz is something changing frequently. Mine is OC stock i never touched it
  10. It doesnt matter. Whats should be important is the CPU score difference. And yes it give 14.4% more for the 3700x, but i'm still blaming my 3700x for not see any improvement in games. You guys would be pissed off if you was in my situation aswell. I think its due to x470 not completely supported...
  11. Hmm all i did is switch processor and start time spy again
  12. Pretty sure if i had bough a i9700k the difference would be huge
  13. I tested the whole day on all my games and a couple of time, at different scenes. I know what i say.
  14. 3D Mark Spy did gave more points on 3700x. https://www.3dmark.com/spy/8350158 3700x https://www.3dmark.com/spy/8350679 2700x But if i dont see any difference in my own games even if i look rly closely at my frames, then those results doesnt matter at all.
  15. What do you mean ? As long as my GPU is not working at 100% the processor can bring more performance. I'm not GPU bottlenecked. I measure the difference by staying on the exact same places in the game, looking at my feets, so it give the most stable results.
  16. I didnt even saw a 5 fps improvement in any of the games. Its or the same or even sometime 2700x give some more...
  17. I have a 2080, but playing under 1080p. I cannot be GPU bottlenecked, it never run more than 60% in most games. My tests are perfectly equal. As i said as i did make test with 3700x, in the same places and conditions, and then switch to 2700x, and do it again...
  18. After updated to a 3700x to maybe get that 10%-15% more performance in games, i just tested a lot of games, GTA V, The Division 2, Metro Exodus, CSGO, and some others. Switched back to 2700x to verify the same scenes in game to see the difference. And i'm really disappointed to see that both processor give same FPS in the same scenes. Thats crazy. The only place that 3700x win is in cinebench r15 and 3dmark spy. When i see all the benchmark videos on youtube, i start thinking its just for marketing. God damnit. I didnt wanted to go intel and buy a new motherboard because already had x470, and now i feel like i'm just gonna return the 3700x and buy an Intel 9700K. So for the guys who wonder how performance will go if you upgrade from 2700x to 3700x for gaming and keep an x470 motherboard, its just useless. OC used for the tests : 2700x at 4,2 GHz 1,4-1,5 voltage (basic precision boost overdrive) 3700x at 4,325 GHz, 1,3875 voltage What a big mistake i did ! If someone have any reason that could explain that shit i would be glad to understand why. I did test on same system, same settings and ram profile, just swapped processor without touch anything else beside OC.
  19. Yes i updated to 1903. And yes i'm at 1080p with a 2080 wich is useless for the moment but allow me to switch to higher resolution in future.
  20. Yes i know this i always enable XMP back. Dont rly know whats going on. Just after i updated windows it got lot better. And then i downed voltage, it gave more. But not in games. But my main issue is temps exceeding 70 and watercooling is at 100% when starting computer.
  21. Hey guys, i really need your help, i hope you will help me to fix that, or i will just return the processor. I just got my 3700x, upgraded from 2700x. But i have some serious problem. First when i installed it, the Bios was all to default settings, and i see that the core performance boost was putting it at 4,3 ghz at 1,45-1,50 voltage (wich is really high) at the beginning. Temperatures are not normal at all, it get some peaks for nothing. Idle, i have 45°, and it go up to 55-60° whithout doing much. Cinebench R15 push it to 75°. I never got those temps on my 2700x. Also, when i start my computer, everytime, my watercooling and fans go crazy. If i go quickly in bios i see 65° already, wich mean that it was more when it started. I never saw my watercooling working that fast just for a startup, it's really weird. In game temps doesnt increase that much. It stay around 55-65°, wich i dont understand because idle i already reach those temps if my performance boost is enabled. At 4,3 Ghz with the basic core performance boost, with 1,450 voltage moving to 1,5 sometimes (and this was basic i didnt touched it when i installed) Cinebench R15 was giving only 1830, less than my 2700x. I tried manual overclock, downed the voltage to 1,3 for 4,2 Ghz, and i get 2175 in Cinebench R15, when my 2700x was doing 1850. Wich look fine, but in games, i dont see any improvement at all (i'm not gpu limited, it work 50% on this game, Rust) I basically have same performance, even less i would say, when on the same game a friend with a 3900x (wich should be same in games than 3700x) he get 25 more fps than me. Its not normal. I updated my Bios, did EC FW Update Tool as my motherboard asked to do it before update bios, and updated windows version to latest, updated AMD Chipset Drivers, doesnt really improved it. The windows update does gave me more performance in cinebench, but in game i'm playing nothing changed. I tried other games also not much changes. I dont even think someone would be able to help me there i guess its a complicated situation. But i try my luck. If someone have any trick that i can do to my BIOS or whatever, it would be welcome. I'm a noob at that. All i know is to use Ryzen Master and overclock manualy, but the BIOS i'm not used to. Wich settings i need to disable or play with, i have no clue. I would like to first fix the issue when the computer boot temps go crazy without any reason, and when on windows it go down to 45°, but its just very weak, it peak everytime, i can just hear my watercooling going louder regulary. Even locked at 3,6 ghz base clock and 1 voltage, it still go crazy when i boot computer. Never got this on my 2700x. Will never trust AMD again... Its like i bough this CPU for nothing actually. I was expecting at least 10-15% improvement in games. My specs : AMD Ryzen 3700x Watercooling Enermax LiqFusion 360 RGB Gygabyte Aorus x470 Ultra Gaming MSI Geforce RTX 2080 Gaming Trio 32 GB Ram (4x8) 3200Mhz DDR4 CL16 (Trident Z RGB) 2 SSD 1 To Samsung 860 QVO Powersupply Corsair RM850X
  22. Yes you guys right i will go for the 3700x, 3900x seems to be waste of money for gaming priority. Thanks for answers, amazing community.
  23. I really dont have any issue with cooling. I have a Enermax LiqFusion 360 RGB that is doing a really great job (26° idle without OC on a 2700x) Also i'm playing Rust. This game is not really supporting multi cores, and my 2700x is shit because floating points 128 vs 256 on ryzen 3xxx
  24. So basically, both are same in gaming, but what about the frequency ? 4,6 for the 3900 and 4,4 for the 3700, does this doesnt even matter? Same for the GameCache, 70 for the 3900x and 36 for the 3700x. I dont rly know what is it too. If i didnt had an motherboard AM4 already i would go for a i9. But i'm already ready for ryzen. Currently running a 2700x.
  25. Hey, i'm planning to purchase a 3900x for gaming. But i was wondering if the 3700x (or 3800x) are about same performance if only gaming ? I would just go for the best intel processor, but i'm not only doing gaming, so i'd like to have both productivity and gaming, thats why i would prefer go AMD. I don't have any specific budget, but i dont want to do a stupid decision. If the 3700x do same (or almost) than 3900x in games then i would go for it. If its purely about best gaming performance wich processor would you choose in AMD familiy ? Sinces cores doesnt matter much in gaming i have some doubt about the 3900x.
